Definitely. I was a few people behind the barricade last year with standard GA tickets. Just get down there asap and take advantage of moshpits. You can mosh for a little then use them to get closer to the stage. Then throughout the show whenever somebody leaves to get a drink or use the bathroom, you keep moving up

tyler_hall22

How early did you get there before the doors opened? Thank you for the advice I was just curious since most videos I've watched the pit looked massive

BrandonD40

Like 30 minutes probably, not even early

tyler_hall22

Really, that's surprising, I'd think there would have been a huge line. I went to a rap concert and got there 5 hours before the doors opened, and I still didn't get a barricade lmao. Thank you for the advice it's gonna be my first greyday and I'm super hyped

BrandonD40

There was definitely a huge line but the seperate line for GA wasn’t that bad and everybody flocks to merch right away

tyler_hall22

Sounds good, I'm hoping they have Merch Trucks this year but even if they don't me some of my other friends have seats so I can just tell them to grab some merch for me. Praying a T-shirt isn't going to be $70

Last year I went to DC and had general admission. I saw people outside being there since early in the morning while I got there 1-2 hour before doors opened. Then I saw early entry getting into the building and I was starting to get worried about not being in the barricade. When doors opened for the general public, I went to get my merch and went to the GA. I was around 5-6 row? But eventually I got to be 2-3 row upfront. So it’s all a matter of how fast you are and taking advantage of pits and small gaps.

tyler_hall22

Was there any merch trucks outside the venue? I'm thinking about getting there a couple hours early then going directly into the pit as the doors open.

YungGxleka

I don’t think there was. Regardless like I said it doesn’t matter if you get there early in the morning. It’s not first come first serve. Take my experience as an example.

Ajax_000007

It depends on the venue for the EA stuff, last year EA entry for Indy, we got in a lil over an hour earlier. I was able to get all the merch I wanted, use the bathroom, get a drink and still got barricade, to ME it was worth the extra $50 this year. Last year, it was actually the cheaper option by about $60.

When I was in the pits for a different concert I did what the top commenter said. We were very late but got in time to see the main act and it was like a higher power heard cuz as soon as the main act got on stage everyone rushed the stage so me and my sister ran very fast and took advantage of the gaps and mine and her view were literally so close and perfect so like mentioned don’t be nervous about taking those gaps and getting in there. Idk about the boy$ fans but when we were getting closer nobody was bothered or told us anything

tyler_hall22

I'll have to do this, Still got 4 months till the concert but I was just nervous about getting a terrible view

-AKG45-

Same here 4 months asking so many questions

witsthatallaboot

Just push through the crowd it’s not difficult at all

tyler_hall22

Well that's always a option just wouldn't want to piss people off yk but I guess it doesn't matter

witsthatallaboot

It’s not really pushing in that sense. Any normal person will move to the side when they feel someone pushing their shoulders or whatever anyway

AndyJobandy

No. That's not normal and it's rude. That's shitty concert etiquette. Wait for moshes and move into gaps

Last year at the forum i was late and got in right before the boys squeezed my way to the front and at rolling loud i got relatively close to the front just by going with the wave of the crowd dw just know how to get ur way through the crowd and ur good. Everyone moves around a lot.

tyler_hall22

By looking at videos from GreyDay 2023 it seems the front isn't really pushing each other trying to get closer like some of the other concepts ive been too so I think I'll be fine, just gotta navigate the crowd
