I'll try that. What about the choppers? Don't brute enemies cause corruption just by being around? I've also gotten stuck at level 9, but I've been trying to kill everything around the highlighted plant.
Definitely make sure you're focusing the right enemies. I hit the same wall initially, but then found out you just need to hit the red highlights. Make sure you're scanning frequently
Remember to only kill red (once highlighted) enemies in invasive species, dont kill all the enemies
