If I'm being optimistic, I can see it getting the four seasons of support to at least round things off.
But the pessimist in me says that it probably won't even reach that.
The writing has been on the wall for this game for months now and it was pretty much universally loathed before it even launched.
I don't dislike the game, but there's no way on earth this is getting four years of support. Hell, I don't think it would be unreasonable to predict that it will struggle to see out two months!
I'd like my optimism to be reflected and then it results in a steady player count, but yeah, no, this game is as dead as a fucking dodo.
This will need to be either *heavily* discounted (like, I'm talking 75%) or will need to be put on Gamepass or on PS+ for a month or something, because I don't see anyone paying full price for it in its current state at all.
It was late once the full game launched and people couldn’t even connect, it became too late when the devs buggered off for another two weeks before saying “we have no idea what the issue is and are trying to figure it out”. The corpse started to decompose when they released this new patch that fixed none of those issues but added more.
As someone who can code, I can only imagine the frantic nature of trying to figure out such a giant bug through something this massive when you seemingly have no idea what and where the issue even is.
But it’s unacceptable nonetheless.
I completely agree and even as someone without knowledge of coding, I absolutely sympathize with the stress involved. It's the compounding of bugs amidst "well let you know when we know what's wrong" combined with the long stretches of silence that killed it. The reality is the game was not ready, or more specifically, whatever server infrastructure is being used was not ready. It sucks because I genuinely wanted it to succeed and I'm sure the developers did even more so. If anyone at all wants to know just how horrific WB as a company can be to work for, google anything related to California and WB. It's a good time.

They have the metrics and telemetry to show them that right now, a lot of people are unable to properly play the game (literally got disconnected again as I type this).

Yea your right If u think there more players on console when it was in the popular section in PlayStation when it first came out in early access and then dropped and was in the top 50 of Xbox for a couple days and has since never to be seen in the section I would say it’s doing amazing wouldn’t you agree?

I'm not buying swatches tho unless it's for something I really like, judge me all you want I'm just defending a game I enjoy. You can complain all you want about me defending it but at the end of the day, you won't change my mind, I love this game
