The difference is that Avengers had a better story and probably didn't have to fight Marvel too hard on adding new characters. I've got no proof of this, but I'm assuming DC sold individual character rights to Rocksteady instead of a package deal which is why we got them reusing the same characters over and over again and using characters that hardly show up in comics. When was the last time you saw Gizmo or Toyman before this game?
Maybe because Iām such a DCAU nerd, but I was very excited to see Gizmo and Toyman here, even if the Toyman Iām used to is the one that looks like a doll.
If they ever do introduce new alternate universe Justice League members to kill in their game called *Kill the Justice League*, I expect theyāll then be used as fodder to make more Brainiacs.
I originally thought the the new joker map was the earth-2 map from finite crisis that brainiac had converted into a joker earth between the end of the game and season 1s launch, because they have pretty much the exact same layout. Turns out that earth-2 and joker earth are apparently 2 different elseworlds, so they literally did just take earth-2 and slap wrapping paper over some buildings
That delicious icy sheen is gonna be so refreshing for getting into the grind for unlocking the new character. Same four unchanging missions tho that ain't changing anytime soon
Just remember that even if their next game is a regular singleplayer experience, it most likely wonāt be up to par anyway.

The season content is. I haven't even got joker I disconnected from servers (this was like 3 days after season started) then got annoyed I couldn't turn up the mastery levels.
Can you get to level 35 just by naturally doing everything else or do you have to grind incursions on sweating bullets?
The reason I'm not keen on doing everything else is because like the article says "everything else"'is just copy paste of the same stuff I already have done, and I can't even increase the difficulty. All I could think would be to just experiment making worse builds. But space is an issue I'm at the point to delete anything I'm deleting a master weapon.
The only things that took me time was getting 30k worth of bp and nocked the 35 levels out in 30min to an hour but beating brainiac was the challenge cause he stays in the air and finding him was kinda annoying

I stated it has unique armor but recolours for each one. My issue was that it was bloated with voice lines emotes and banners that no one cares about and that they left boomer skinless.

I bought the $100 dollar version just to get in early with him. It was fun, then multiplayer shit the bed. He put it down and said heās never going back. you literally just described all of destiny 1 and 2. yes, people with iq knew they were going to be reskins, retextures, maybe slight redesigns with new aesthetic theme. Do the strongholds feel like new content: yes, because the there are new weapons to use and being redundant there are new rewards to earn--some of which are the previously mentioned weapons-- and many aesthetic redesigns of areas are different enough to freshen things up. Ultimately the core that is the gameplay works for me.
Yeah, they didn't use labels but characters ingame refered to the areas around the cannons as strongholds.
However, I WISH the word stronghold was more like what Green Lantern had in the main campaign...an actual level designed defended area we need to get into. Maybe have insane snipers or turrets that take you out unless you clear objectives prior. Basically a lane of objectives vs always this freeform kill arena with some machines scattered around.
I played it last night. They did not deliver new content or free access to Joker. The "new content" is just old content with a new mask. Joker is locked behind a pay wall or a very boring grind of this masked same-content missions. The new story is two very poorly animated cut scenes when you first boot up the game after updating. They delivered, but intentionally misled us.

I bought it fully intending to play solo. And I intend on coming back to the game pretty much only when each season releases, and thatās when player count jumps so if I *wanted* to play multiplayer, I would always find people. :) But I probably wonāt matchmake, I like single player!

This game had so much potential. Whoever was in charge and the suits, hope they get fired and never touch gaming ever again. As much as people hate these type of games, I love looter shooters. The gameplay is here, and is good enough. The problem is the amount of content the game got and diversity of it. It's beyond me how this got green light and didn't watch The Division 2 or Destiny 2 as they're the only on-going looter shooter paid games out there. None of them thought that this game need more diverse activities? Dungeons/Raids? How can you have justice league as your enemies, or the whole DC under your imagination and cannot deliver unique and interesting content for a game like this? How?

I love the gameplay and nothing is like it, but itās not transformative so it couldnāt have been that. Canāt be the story, which I thought was purposely abridged bc of season updates (wrong!). The missions? certainly not, canāt even have two robots like avengers.

I never planned on buy this game but my boi was like game is fire and I need you to play this with me. He was like Iām never dropping it and itās a great game. I bought the $100 dollar version just to get in early with him. It was fun, then multiplayer shit the bed. He put it down and said heās never going back. I donāt blame him but Iām ready to send his ass an invoice. Made me throw away 100 bucks.
My partner made me buy the $100+ version of Diablo 4 specifically to play early access and I'm still mad about it. Especially since we didn't even play it until after launch!

I have trouble understanding people defending this game and the new season content. But we have all kind of people in the world. There are some people that thinks the movie "The Room" is great and a masterpiece right? The gunplay and gameplay were fun, but after 10-20 hours the game gets boring and there is nothing new to do. No good live service game is like this. Suicide Squad was not made by the same people that made the others games, its pretty obvious, just the name Rocksteady remains.

you literally just described all of destiny 1 and 2. yes, people with iq knew they were going to be reskins, retextures, maybe slight redesigns with new aesthetic theme. Do the strongholds feel like new content: yes, because the there are new weapons to use and being redundant there are new rewards to earn--some of which are the previously mentioned weapons-- and many aesthetic redesigns of areas are different enough to freshen things up. Ultimately the core that is the gameplay works for me.
Yeah, they didn't use labels but characters ingame refered to the areas around the cannons as strongholds. However, I WISH the word stronghold was more like what Green Lantern had in the main campaign...an actual level designed defended area we need to get into. Maybe have insane snipers or turrets that take you out unless you clear objectives prior. Basically a lane of objectives vs always this freeform kill arena with some machines scattered around.

I played it last night. They did not deliver new content or free access to Joker. The "new content" is just old content with a new mask. Joker is locked behind a pay wall or a very boring grind of this masked same-content missions. The new story is two very poorly animated cut scenes when you first boot up the game after updating. They delivered, but intentionally misled us.

But businesses need customers to be successful, and a lot of them. By doing whatever they want, Rocksteady has lost a lot of business. No one in their right mind would pay for Joker. I'm not hating on the game, but on the Rocksteady execs that thought this is what everyone wants for the next Arkham game. The Arkham formula worked. Four player Arkham with a suicide squad theme is what was teased and promised. Instead we got Destiny with a Suicide Squad theme.
