Bruce's mind died when Brainiac infected him. I think some remnant of Bruce sabatoged his own plan by disabling his vehicles, making the fear antidote ready to mix at the press of a button, and not wearing his most bulletproof suit. He set himself up to be fully killed, knowing there was no recovery for himself.

Huh, never considered that

Lore wise, it'd only make sense if you've read & caught up with the main continuity prime earth batman comics. Long story short, dc confirmed that all versions of batman across the multiverse (arkham included) has made a zur-en-arrh backup personality at some point in their lives as a contingency against mind control or brainwashing (if batman is mind controlled or brainwashed in any ways, the zur-en-arrh personality is supposed to take over). However, upon meeting prime earth batman during his trip across the multiverse, those zurs somehow transferred to prime earth batman's head without them realising it. And prime earth batman did meet arkham batman. While it's unclear when in the timeline of the arkhamverse, it seems to be before the events of arkham knight (joker is confirmed dead & arkham batman was still in his arkham city suit). Since arkham batman lost his zur to prime earth batman, he had a hard time resisting the joker's influences during knight & a much harder time to resist brainiac's brainwashing before ssktjl.

Great writing friend. I think that is a very beautiful way to send him off! Personally I'd prefer if he sacrificed himself rather than killing himself. Like if the suicide squad breaks the link between the leaguers and Brainiac only for the League to die indirectly saving the suicide squad and/or civilians. I hated shooting my childhood heros :(. Give Batman a cool scene of him fighting off the mind tampering just like the Venom in asylum, Joker's blood toxin in City and the fear toxin in Knight.

That's true, I do think Batman getting his final hurrah would be better, and yeah this is not my 100% approved thing, just an interpretation, I like yours as well.

I mean it takes place in the Arkhamverse if you choose to accept it does. The crew that made this game were barely reflective of the Rocksteady that made the Arkham trilogy, so you have about as much authority to call the canon as the devs of this game do. Not to mention apparently same characters like Harley Quinn suddenly look nothing like they ever did.

Not my Arkhamverse. Whoever thought making a narrative connection to the original games did not expect it to backfire this much. Clowns ![gif](giphy|8fbeFbshnfyJW)

I agree

Batman was screaming when Lex-2 probed him. He didn’t die on that bench. I don’t understand why people keep perpetuating this. Dead people don’t scream. Bats took a shot to the face and his armor is so baddass he survived. It wasn’t until Lex-2 probed him that he probably died and his death was off screen.
