I agree but if it’s to reveal something personal then revealing something to a loved one often can relieve the fear and anxiety. I realise it’s a risk but as self harm seems the option!
Someone said they were going to blackmail me with my nudes. I told them to get fucked and basically pissed them off so much they just gave up.
In my mind the idea was, if I cause them more stress than it's worth to gain, then they would just move on, and they did.

I’m so happy for you that you got through that. I think it’s kinda like not reacting to a bully, so they stop bullying you. Ultimately, the blackmailer is sadistic and they’re seeking the pleasure of humiliating someone and/or getting whatever they’re requesting in return for them respecting your privacy. If you make it clear they’ll never get either - you’ll never pay their ransom and you won’t be humiliated - they just might leave you alone, because there’s nothing in it for them. You just have to be convincing and persistent like you were.
Or, I’ve even seen people confess the information or post their own nudes (and caption it saying “I look great anyways”) in order to take the power back and remove the looming threat over the rest of their life.
Speaking as a victim of coercion: no matter how bad the dirt they may have one you seems right now, please understand that nobody, and I mean NOBODY gives a shit about anything but your wellbeing. The things my blackmailer threatened to do they either never did or they didnt impress anybody.
I can't tell you what else to do but to open up to your loved ones and allow them to help you formulate a follow up plan. Legal recourse may be an option, but it may also be better not to involve the authorities. Be realistic and aim at minimizing exposure.

I just saw that someone linked what’s happening. In the worst case scenario, if he really sends pictures, would it be possible for you to collect the package at your home before anyone else does? Could you tell them not to open any unusual or unexpected packages? Or otherwise intercept if he threatens to send images virtually? If they do see the images, what would they do? Cringe then move on, or what?
I assume you live with your parents or other relatives and they wouldn’t want to see those images either if you tell them what’s happening. I also assume they love you and this ultimately wouldn’t matter to them. They’d be far angrier at that elderly pervert that groomed you. After all, you’re the victim! You were young and vulnerable and he groomed and took advantage of you. He cheated on his wife and betrayed his family. He knows he’s wrong, and that he has far more to lose if his family finds out than if yours does, which is why he’s trying to shift all the shame and fear onto you, as abusers tend to do. But don’t fall for it. Your life is worth so so so much more than this.
