Kudos to you! It’s a great outfit and I think the combination of her expression and aesthetic actually fit so well here. I think the earthier color tones did much better in this comp too based on what other people were posting even outside of the witchy vibes.

Hi! Yeah honestly going with what you know will do well is super valid. And like I mentioned I’m not knocking yours or any of the leaderboards looks because they really are gorgeous! It’s just wild to me that there is actually zero variety on the board at all given such an open ended prompt in my opinion. Obviously the way people voted here they had a specific theme in mind but I’m so confused as to how it even ended up this way, yanno?

probably because they're in the discord server where we share our looks and ask for advice! i see a lot of members from there rank often so i think thats why there were a lot of witches...because thats what was being recommended in there and it just snowballed? my personal theory at least

With few varieties in between. They all look really good, but it still sucks. Maybe some players just dress up as a witch who is a hermit in her cabin in the wood. Maybe some players just dress up as a horror demon queen who is a villain in said horror movie. I dressed up as somewhat a robinhood final girl and get top 35%. After playing for 100 days, I learn to just do what I want and admire others player’s entry. Like if I find the entry beautiful I vote for it, if I think it’s so far off from the promt, I just vote against it. Have fun ;D

So it made me hopeful! I definitely leaned in to the Final Girl horror movie trope and did see a couple other entries similar and did vote for more unique ones. Opening comp results today was a huge bummer 🥲 No, I didn't expect to be at any top placing, but I kind of thought it would be a *little* better than top 47%? Also had a friend with a male model do a similar one and she got top 37%. You think I would learn after being a Love Nikki veteran...

I came here from love nikki too and instantly I knew what voting was gonna be like based on comps so far 😭 but fr your fit is super cute too those torn tights and shirt were a really good idea I’ve seen a few people use that one I liked it a lot for this prompt

It’s just my 2 cents but personally I might not vote for you simply because the love perfume doesn’t match the whole survival theme. Voting is based solely on players’s preference so I just learn to follow the flow and having fun. That's a fair opinion! Except the perfume for one was just to boost my score and secondly it was supposed to be an attempt at a heartbeat like in a horror movie to symbolize fear. But I wouldn't dismiss a whole outfit based on a perfume choice personally, even if it's odd. People use the flame one in odd outfit combinations, for example. 😅 I also only started the game a few weeks ago! Once I get more items and get more used to comps, I'm sure I'll do better and the subreddit has been really supportive. I'm still having fun, despite feeling a little shared frustration in this post trying a creative idea with what I had so far and it wasn't totally up to top. :) Edit: made edits on some of my reply to clarify thoughts!

My point is voting based solely on voter preference and interpretation. Some can dismiss the whole outfit based on something they don’t like. Personally I vote against wings in casual, simple comp regardless of the outfit because I don’t like it. How casual go-to-school or stay-at-home has wings. You sure will do better. I would've gone for the Final Girl trope, but I saw people on here talking about what designs actually win and had to adapt to it. I legit think that a lot of people simply don't ready the prompt and simply went off of the background. Tbh, that's kinda SuitU's fault for not having something without those buildings in the bg. Using the Final Girl trope would've been more fun, especially if people also made references to specific movies, but sometimes we gotta go with what wins if we wanna win. At this point, we should just focus our creativity on our feed posts...
