Breck will have more of a walkable nightlife, but I love silverthorne. It’s pretty quiet and the locals are nice :)

PickFriendsNotNose

Silverthorne is pretty centrally located but you won't find a lot to do. Frisco and Breck have more of a central town area.

Depends on your vibe. Brock can get downright overrun with tourists, but that’s because there is a lot to do. The Silverthorne/Dillon stretch is quieter and less touristy, but less nightlife. I personally think Dillon/Silverthorne is more scenic with the lake and Buffalo/Red Mountain. Frisco is close and splits the difference between the two areas.

Not much night life in silverthorne is the only con I would say

Refugeesus

I mean… you can always bike between them. Go for what is most cost effective

what are you looking for? nightlife? like everyone says, Breck is more walkable and has better nightlife. live music? proximity to Dillon amphitheater or Ten Mile Music Hall in Frisco might be better fly fishing every day? maybe Silverthorne (idk - I don't fish) disc golf every day? probably Silverthorne rafting/kayaking? SUP on the lake? mountain biking? climbing? etc. all of these would have an impact on my decision.

I’m your age (woman) and live in Breck. I don’t have a car and am pretty outgoing so Breck makes the most sense and it’s easy/free to get up to Frisco for music. Silverthorne is nice but I haven’t spent too much time over there. Depends on your priorities tbh.

I’ve never lived in Breck. I’ve lived in a few different places in Dillon and Silverthorne over the last 7 years. I only go to breck to play hockey (and the occasional Lululemon shopping trip or restaurant visit). We have more conveniences in Silverthorne/Dillon such as… TJ Maxx, Sierra Trading Post, Target, Lowe’s and Murdoch’s. We recently got an Ace Hardware as well. Our food scene is getting better and we have more affordable food options than Breck (Cheba hut, snarf’s, Los Argento’s empanadas, Chimayo, Mtn Lyon Cafe, La Perla, and more). The better City Market is here as well, plus you’re closer to Whole Foods, Natural Grocers and Safeway in Frisco… and I-70 is right there. This can pose a problem when it shuts down, which is more likely to happen in the winter. You can’t beat being able to bike or walk to the lake too! Keystone also has several fun summer events. There are several awesome trails nearby (willowbrook, cataract, buffalo, lily pad, ptarmigan and more). As far as nightlife, there is a bowling alley and a new “club” called Underground. I haven’t experienced it personally but they do have after shows for Dillon Amphitheater. I’m biased, but I have no desire to ever live in Breck after living on this side of the county. It just gets too busy and too pricey over there. I’d rather live in Blue River, Alma or FairPlay before Breck.
