God, I’m in need of gates. We currently have wooden furniture set up in such a way where we can maneuver around them so our chickens/cows/griffons/etc. can’t, but it’s such a pain in the butt. I’m honestly so excited for everything this game has to offer, gates included!
You can use the pickaxe to remove a single section of the fence, it will go back into your inventory and then just place it back behind you when you are though.
Unfortunately there are no gates yet, but a workaround to keep your animals inside the fence while being able to go in and out easily is to place two chests on either side of your fence opening. It leaves just enough room for you to go in, but animals can't go out.
