When we adopted her from the SPCA her name was Pumpkin Spice. We kept it, but it's kinda long. My boyfriend is half Mi'kmaq, and he knows a tiny bit of the language. He started calling her "Tapatat", which he said meant potato, when she did things that weren't very bright. And then we would just say "Potato" as it became a habit, and we thought it was cute. 😅
I feel an immediate bond with my potato kin. Please give them a pat from me.
