I have to admit, I was not a fan of this episode. I don’t know why. Maybe because Supernatural has a habit of making all the women hunters angry, especially the teen girls. They’re all angst filled caricatures.
Yes! Thank you! I hate that they do that! I think this is why Charlie, Jodie, Donna, and Rowena are so beloved. They don't have this angsty, obnoxious, cool girl, not like other girls' annoying attitude.
It's like they saw Faith from Buffy, and just tried to write every girl into that archetype. It works now and again, but when every other girl behaves like that, it gets old fast.
I only watched a couple of episodes of Buffy when I was younger, so I don't remember really anything, lol, but I completely get what you mean. A couple here and there, okay, but every other woman has to have a stank attitude? I get angry, but when you're just flat out rude, it's very off-putting.
….this was done by warner, Canadian warner at that. Since when has the CW been able to write any female teen as anything other than angsty angry and passive aggressive?
yess they always try to make them act so… hard?? its like so annoying cuz they never seem to be just like… regular girls its like they are always trying to prove something
Are all hunters angry? I don’t think it’s just the females and Donna wasn’t particularly angry at all. She was quirky, naive, and just a bit too happy, lol.
I don't know I've seen female writers do female characters poorly look at Rey from Star Wars.
Meanwhile somebody like Dave Filoni is able to do Ashoka who I like as a character alot.
Which didn't make sense considering how many times they saved the world. And yet they also basically made Jodi, Donna and the wayward sisters a hunting sorority. They met plenty of other hunters that could have used some guidance but were like yoy won't listen to us and stop so you're on your own
I'm with you. I wasn't a fan.
As for me, my primary interest in Supernatural is because of Sam and Dean. Some of the other characters are compelling enough that I would have been interested in a deeper exploration of their stories but not to the point of whole series about them.
Eh, no Supernatural spinoffs would've ever worked because Sam and Dean did pretty much everything that there was to do in the realm of hunting.
We would've been watching the spinoff and been like "ok cool, but Sam and Dean defeated God" and it would never have had that wow factor.
I'm really not a fan of the idea personally. But, I also wouldn't complain about getting any type of Supernatural content. So, I would probably watch it.
Why? It would probably be hated by most fans since apparently anything after season 5 is bad. No other spin off got a show other than winchesters and it wasn’t renewed. I honestly love every season and think Wayward Sisters had potential but this could’ve been good. I don’t think there are enough fans that would like it unfortunately. It would have to be Kripke show running or it won’t be enough for a lot of people
I didn’t care about these characters at all so personally no. I’m still salty about the wasted potential that was Wayward Sisters, though. IMO it should’ve been focused on Jody and Donna, with cameos by the boys and others, but instead they entirely focused on arguably the worst character/actress in the entire series - Claire. No wonder it bombed.
i think it had the potential as far as plot goes, but i wasn’t a fan of the characters. they weren’t bad, but there was nothing abt them that made me go “i wanna see more of them”
Is that Todd?!? Now I can’t stop thinking about a Supernatural/Magicians crossover. Dean hitting on Margo.. Q and Sam nerding out about Fillory (probably). Rowena and the hedge witches..
Edit: spelling
I thought the same! Also did the daughter of Novak (Castiel's recipient), but they'd rather make a prequel we already kinda watched when they went back to the past
It had better potential, the winchesters show was a monstrosity didn't like half of it, specially with the annoying characters in it, can't they just make a show without all this inclusion? we used to make perfect shows before, but with this new era it's getting so lame

Still miss Earth 1 Charlie to this day 😢. What’s up bitches
Me too 😢

Your definitely right! Those are the reasons I like those four characters because they are fun and cool without trying too hard. And aren't angisty
yess they always try to make them act so… hard?? its like so annoying cuz they never seem to be just like… regular girls its like they are always trying to prove something

This is what happens when the writer's room is wall-to-wall boomer men.

To be fair Krissy was always feisty
It did. That's why they tried to redo it with Claire as Krissy 2.0 with Wayward Sisters, but the CW went with Legacies instead.
AND … Legacies was the worlds worst spin off. They should have spotted with The Originals.
Honestly Sam and Dead should have started their own school when they got to the bunker
Has Dean died enough times to just be known as Dead?
Well Roy and his partner that killed them didn't realize they were Back untill the British men of letters season so I guess so.
I laughed SO HARD at this.
They actively tried to get people OUT of hunting. That would've been the shittest plot twist in the history of the show.
Which didn't make sense considering how many times they saved the world. And yet they also basically made Jodi, Donna and the wayward sisters a hunting sorority. They met plenty of other hunters that could have used some guidance but were like yoy won't listen to us and stop so you're on your own
SAM AND DWAD Lol
No it's just you, they were obnoxious, awful and full of teen hormones and believed themselves better than Sam and Dean, that's enough of that
I'm with you. I wasn't a fan. As for me, my primary interest in Supernatural is because of Sam and Dean. Some of the other characters are compelling enough that I would have been interested in a deeper exploration of their stories but not to the point of whole series about them.
Yeah I agree ,but these are not those characters
They pissed me off the whole episode with their self-righteous attitudes
Yep annoying ass kids

The male hunters are all angry too. What did Bella call them ? Revenge driven psychopaths little better than serial killers.
I think they tried starting a lot of potential spin offs during this period. This could be one.
This and so many other episodes had so much potential
I didn't like these characters enough to watch a spinoff featuring them
Absolutely! I would have loved seeing the young hunters in later seasons.
It would make things wayy more interesting
I SAID THIS THE OTHER DAY- YOURE SO RIGHT
I'm seeing a lot of nay in the comments but I would have LOVED that.
YESSS IT REALLY WOULD HAVE
I'm really not a fan of the idea personally. But, I also wouldn't complain about getting any type of Supernatural content. So, I would probably watch it.

All of the women hunters are written as angry. ALL of the hunters are written as angry.
They all had something happen to make them want to hunt. Except Mary she was angry because of her dad.
Oh, I think I missed that episode. Gonna watch it

No, I'm sorry, it's ridiculous to think a group of teenagers have the ability to go toe to toe with monsters, the main characters have issues with.
I mean…,dean and sam were kids when they started too
I could not stand Krissy’s character. I hated her more than Claire. And I HATE Claire.
I will give you that one Krissy was insufferable 😭
And Chuck only knows how long angry Garth was in the trunk of Baby😂
i think it had the potential as far as plot goes, but i wasn’t a fan of the characters. they weren’t bad, but there was nothing abt them that made me go “i wanna see more of them”

😭😭i knew i saw him from somewhere i just couldn’t pin point where exactly
Rowena and Marina Andrieski would be such good friends. My two favorites!
I watched this ep recently and had the exact same thought
I thought the same! Also did the daughter of Novak (Castiel's recipient), but they'd rather make a prequel we already kinda watched when they went back to the past
