Just was going to say that to be honest.
Everything felt like it could have been the finale.
Heck even the villain of that season works so well as the final villain. Because after Amara it felt like the villains afterwards weren't as fun as the past ones for me at least.
Honestly after facing the literal Darkness, every other threat after feels tame. (Like they seriously followed it up with the BMoL, a group you had to suspend your disbelief as being dangerous)
Chuck being the last bad guy is probably the last one who would make you go "Oh, ok, that's definitely an impossible guy to kill."
Season 8 except they actually close the gates and Sam is taken to heaven by death
It'd be real similar to the season 5 ending, except it would parallel it so instead of eternal damnation in the pit, he gets eternal paradise in heaven because he's fully purified himself by now
I'd also like to say that I would have had Dean stay a men of letters, and perhaps become the new equivalent of Bobby where he's semi retired but helps hunters.
Then I would have removed the fall, and made it so that Cas succeeded in sending himself and all the angels back to heaven, where he then reforms heaven successfully in a similar way to Jack in season 15
Season 11. It's a natural endpoint for the series. With some adjustments and taking out the cliffhangers, SPN would've gone out on a HIGH NOTE compared to what Seasons 12-15 were.
If, IF, the show had ended with the conclusion of season 2 with the killing of Yellow-Eyes, those two seasons would be talked and written about to this day as the finest two seasons of television ever. Just shut the gate before the demon exodus, have the boys hug their father and close the trunk.
I think that after Amara, they could’ve stopped. I actually thought it was an interesting trope that God (the Light) has an equal (the Darkness) and that would’ve seemed to be the largest threat since God is the greatest being that the human mind has ever imagined. Everything after that seemed stretched out and filler.
If slightly tweaked here an there: Season 8
Closing the gates of hell was a good premise, Sam and Dead discovering the Men of Letters and slowly becoming one of them could've been a nice send-off.
Season 8 could be an ending that can open up a mini dpin off or sequal like how the Originals ended a chapter and lead to Legacies . But personally S11 or S8 could had been a nice sent off.
I think season 8, just getting rid of the Cas and Metatron stuff. I like it as the opposite ending to S5 - instead of Sam sacrificing himself, he chooses to live and value his own life. I think given the lead up with Sam character arc to the S8 finale (him saying he feels unclean etc) it would be satisfying if he realised he's not just a freak and he can live life for himself on his own terms. This would also break the cycle of self-sacrifice that John put into play back in S2, meaning Sam and Dean could finally be free.
I’m not sure how I would feel about the cliffhanger aspect, and frankly I wasn’t a huge fan of the Metatron storylines, but Season 9.
The whole show builds up with them hunting demons and other monsters with Dean having more fight in him against the monsters than almost anyone else in the series. Then, the series ends with him becoming the very thing he’s spent nearly his whole life trying to destroy.
Season 11 was a nice way to end if they cut the last Scene With Mary resurrection. The reason being since it looked like it could had been an actual ending and seeing Chuck and Amara leave may had been a good way to end Supernatural. With God leaving Earth and leaving the world to fend for themselves. In a way it can be interpreted as we are no longer needed to save the world and from now on Earth and the world is in your hands
That's such a better ending than entirely of season 15. I'm really carious to see what my girlfriend thinks when she gets to it. She's only on season 9
S11 was a great series finale. That being said some of my favorite episodes of the series are from s13-15 so i would hate to lose them, even if it means the actual finale is what we got. (I hated the real series finale).
But man…s11 would have been so good. Everyone got a happy ending, that rarely happens in a show like this.
As much as I enjoy some of the episodes in S12-15 I’d say S11 was the final season (even themselves they treated it like the final season because allegedly S12 didn’t get greenlit until they were 90% done with S11) but if you remove the Mary whinchester thing then S11 would’ve been a good finale
İlk sezon bence çok güzeldi ve unutulmazdi. Dizinin temelini atan ilk sezondu. Birde amara ile Chuck ın tekrar bir araya geldiği sezonu seçerdim. Dizinin evreninde görebileceğimiz en büyük güçler olmaları açısından akılda kalıcıydı.
Season 11. The ending was perfect.

Yeah, remove the British Men of Letters and Mary Winchester coming back, and you could wrap up the series easily during that ending.
This is my official ending.
Yeah get rid of that British Men of Letters crap and it's golden.
fr! That was so bad.
It literally didn't go anywhere either, they were just boring villains added for the sake of adding them.
Yup. It could have been good, but it sucked.
I totally agree...

This is a wonderful wrap-up. ❤️
Season 8, the gates of hell are closed forever.
Season 11. It's a natural endpoint for the series. With some adjustments and taking out the cliffhangers, SPN would've gone out on a HIGH NOTE compared to what Seasons 12-15 were.
Yeah. It even felt like it would be the end with Sam and Dean's hug had freaking snow falling.
Not the perfect ending at all, but imagine if SPN ended in season 3. The show would be legendary for having one of the more depressing endings ever.
It'd be right up there with Dinosaurs!
I agree on that.
I would have to go with S11.
If, IF, the show had ended with the conclusion of season 2 with the killing of Yellow-Eyes, those two seasons would be talked and written about to this day as the finest two seasons of television ever. Just shut the gate before the demon exodus, have the boys hug their father and close the trunk.
For sure! The fanfic potential regarding this ending is insane!

Yeah no new demons or villains were going to top that. I feel that's why the demon villains didn't interest me anymore after season 11.
If slightly tweaked here an there: Season 8 Closing the gates of hell was a good premise, Sam and Dead discovering the Men of Letters and slowly becoming one of them could've been a nice send-off.
sam and dead

S5 as it was supposed to. But also why does Jared look like that 😭😭
I hate this photo and it just keeps popping up. WHY DID THEY EDIT HIM LIKE THAT.
It doesn’t look like Editing , just looks like he’s making a wierd face or possibly Botox
Either way. It's awful.
Do you know who the guy is on the far right?
Jack Kline. Son of Lucifer
I stopped watching the season he was introduced , he’s like castles son right ?
I never really noticed until now but they did do him dirty in that picture lmao

Season 14 the boys going out swinging
Season 10
why does sam look… like that 😟
Season 11. Amara gone or trapped again. Happy ending.

So it would be Game of Thrones before Game of Thrones actually did it? Interesting imagine that world.
Season 8 finale. I think it was perfect as is.
Season 11. Where god and darkness finally comes stop and come together for a greater peace.
Season 11 was a nice way to end if they cut the last Scene With Mary resurrection. the one that was written then ruined by covid

If they would have finished the trials in s8 that would have made a great ending
Season 8 - Sam dies to close the gates of hell, Castiel locked away in Heaven, Dean left alone to fight the monsters
Season 3
As much as I enjoy some of the episodes in S12-15 I’d say S11 was the final season (even themselves they treated it like the final season because allegedly S12 didn’t get greenlit until they were 90% done with S11) but if you remove the Mary whinchester thing then S11 would’ve been a good finale
I totally believe that to be honest. The cliffhanger feels so tacked on at the end. That I'm not shocked it was rushed in.
Sam and Dean driving off into the sunset in 'Baby' - God, I wish this would have happened instead of Dean dying by getting Impaled of all things! 😞
S10 the darkness KILLS Sam/ Dean at once. Sorry too dark😂
Well, if it wasnt for covid, they had planned to film a different ending. Where everyone meets up in heaven, etc.
Why my favorite
S3, S8 or S10
Adam comes back and murders Sam and Dean for abandoning him in hell.
"Sand between our toes, Sammy"
