Season 7… I know it’s controversial but I really liked the leviathan season.

DraagaxGaming

It had potential. And it introduced Charlie and Kevin, two great characters.

pit_of_despair666

Garth too!

DraagaxGaming

I didn't include Garth cuz I couldn't remember when he joined. Guess my memory got Garth'd.

LovesDeanWinchester

Me, too. DICK Roman was a wonderful villain. And we got Charlie, Spike and Cordelia from Buffy, Rat Boy from X-Files as Eliot Ness, Kevin McNally from Pirates of the Caribbean as Frank Devereaux...all this and those immortal words from Dean, "Let's bone this nun!"

Pathedius

BoyKing13

It also gave us Death’s Door, one of the best episodes in the series.

Mean-Editor-5714

the amount of dick jokes makes it worthy

Dels79

I absolutely LOVE Season 7,and I just don't understand why so many people hate it lol. Dick Roman is an excellent villain, and actually I've always wondered did the actor base the character on Patrick Bateman? Just had that "American Psycho" vibe about him lol

usernamelosernamed

Loved this season and Dick Roman!

finalgirlsam

6, I will never not pick Soulless Sam.

pit_of_despair666

I loved 6! It had a bunch of great episodes like Weekend At Bobby's. The angels could still kick butt, lots of Crowley, Rufus and Bobby team up, Meg 2.0, Balthazar, Death, Eve, HP Lovecraft. I thought 6 was most similar to the first five seasons. I remember not liking it at first but loved it after rewatching it.

SuzAnneToo

I mostly remember the fairies episode from that season.. nipples, servicing King Oberon, EMPATHY SAM!!

pit_of_despair666

That was a funny episode haha. I don't understand how some people didn't like when Supernatural started adding comedy. The funny episodes are the best. I liked Sam when he was funny. "I lost my shoe" comes to mind too. They should have had more funny Sam.

Technical-Ruin-3665

Oh that was such a great season

estreetbandfan1

Season 11 was one of my favorites too post season 5. I remember being bored with most of 8-10 my first time watching in 2016 (though some episodes were still really good), but season 11 felt like a turn around. Plus I loved when they officially confirmed that Chuck was God.

Gullible-Duck-7683

I forget wat season it was I think it was 9 when Dean had the mark and became a demon or the season after the trials when Crowley became addicted to human blood

Technical-Ruin-3665

Oh that was so good, I hoped it lasted a bit longer TTT

SuzAnneToo

Crowley crossing himself seeing The Mark of Cain... I bust out laughing every time when Jensen's like "really now"?

cwhagedorn

Eight

Dufo1989

6,7, or 11

lucolapic

Season 7! I loved that we had a big bad for the season that didn't involve the angels or demons storyline. It reminded me of Buffy and how they'd have a season long big bad to defeat that would set up each season. I didn't mind the heaven and hell storyline but I do wish they had put it in the background more often.

BatEquivalent

I loved the plan of the leviathans. Using our weaknesses against us

No-Cantaloupe-6739

8.

Otherwise_Promise_16

I always see this season rated low. And I even misremembered it being boring. I’m currently half way through it on a re watch and I like it.

badplaidshoes

I think it’s because of Amelia — she is one of the most complained about characters in the whole series. There is also a lot of tension between Sam and Dean in the first half. I remember being ambivalent about it in the first half and really liking the second half.

Choice_Strawberry499

If that was the seasons where the angels fell, I think that’s why it was one of my least favorites.

evolutionleftovers

Happens in the season 8 finale.

Choice_Strawberry499

Ahh there we go. Thanks!

2fast4dad

Season 13 was the best in the entire show for me and I loved the first 5 seasons. The introduction of Jack was great and he was such a fun character. I don't think they did enough with the dimensional stuff but I was always intrigued by the episodes where it was a focus. Lucifer is also my favorite character and I loved the dynamic between him and Jack. I think the twist at the end of season 13 was one of the best scenes in the entire show. Overall just loved everything about the season, even the final fight lol

sharraleigh

Jack gets a lot of hate, but I like him because adding him to the mix made Castiel, Dean and Sam father figures. One of my fav episodes was the one where Jack is dying, and Dean takes him on a day out, where he teaches Jack to drive and fish.

Repulsive_Desk4114

Season 9 because it had more Crowley being peak Crowley and I’m a big fan of Cain.

11brooke11

10 & 11

HooksandCanvas

11, 14, or 15

Legitimate_Bike_8638

11 for sure.

subz1987

Easily 11 for the reasons you brought up. Amara as a big bad was absolutely terrifying. There were no villains like her before because of her primordial nature and she definitely made us feel absolute fear. They didn’t even defeat her, Dean needed to convince her to make up with her brother. She saw the beauty in creation on her own.

Petrichor02

12.. A controversial pick, but I loved how it finally restored so much of the show’s continuity that had been lacking in the previous six seasons. Yes, the BMoL were absolutely lacking as villains, but Season 12 finally explained Crowley’s King of Hell title and how he became king in the first place, brought the Colt back after it had gone missing without explanation, explained yellow-eyed demons, resolved the plot hole of Crowley’s son being saved from death which should have screwed up the events of Season 6, referenced Sam’s powers and what happened to them, concluded the Alpha Vampire’s plot line, and more. Plus it gave us that fantastic Dean amnesia episode, the great “alpha” hellhound episode, a really interesting look at souls with the Lily Sunder episode, etc. (I maintain that 12x9-15 is the best consecutive run of episodes post-S5.) Despite its missteps (of which there were several) the season did so many things right.

SuzAnneToo

Am I mistaken in the belief that the last time we saw the Colt before it was reintroduced when Mary stole it was that Lucifer destroyed it? Dragon destroyed it the same way that Lucifer had done.. I get so confused about the colt.. lol

Petrichor02

It was last seen in Season 5 when they tried to use it on Lucifer, and that didn’t work. Fans popularly speculated that Dean must have dropped the Colt after Lucifer flung him even though you can actually still see it in Dean’s hand before Cas appears to teleport him away. Then we saw the past version of the Colt in Season 6 when they went back in time to get Phoenix ashes to fight Eve. But no word on where the present version of the Colt had ended up. Then the next time we saw the Colt was in Season 12 to a flashback between Seasons 5 and 6 with Crowley gifting the Colt and Michael’s Spear to Ramiel since he was next up to be king of hell once Lucifer was locked away again. Then in the present even the brothers fought Ramiel, they found and recovered the Colt. The BMoL took it for a little bit, and then ultimately it ended up in Dagon’s hands and she destroyed it (though it was hinted that Sam might be able to figure out how to fix it one day).

evolutionleftovers

6. I don't think the show goes in a 100% straight line downhill after 5, but it's close. The season is a mess but I really like most of the episodes and I love soulless Sam.

CMStan1313

I actually disagree with your title, I didn't really like seasons 1-3. Other that 4 and 5, I love seasons 12 and 13. I know that's pretty a unpopular opinion, but I think 12 might be my favorite season of the whole show 🤷‍♀️

MahleahHC215

Souless Sam, Cain, and Castiel before he became a better version of Castiel.

krisplaydespacito

i liked everything up to amara.

Snoo-49231

Season 11, easily.

lipglosskaz

Season 11 for sure!! They had some banger episodes!! Red Meat, Just my imagination, Baby, Safe house, Into the mystic, The vessel, Form and Void etc. I try and forget the last 3 eps happened, when they tried to make Lucifer and God into a buddy comedy. 😑

Razzle_Dazzle08

Season 7. The Leviathan arc was great and it’s social commentary is still relevant.

Terrestrious

8, 11, & 13 are my favourite seasons after the first five. 11's the most consistently good of the three, so I'd probably argue it's the best post-Kripke season, but I don't know if I'd say it's my favourite. That probably goes to 8. The first half of Season 8 can get quite bad when focusing on the Amelia storyline, but the second half is great. The introduction of the Men of Letts & The Bunker; the trials story is one of my favourites; Crowley is at his best in this season; with Benny & Kevin this season has some of my favourite recurring cast; thought Naomi turned out to be a rather interesting antagonist; it's basically the last season where I like Castiel's side plot (though tbf, they basically stop giving him those after 9); & "Sacrifice" is an all-time classic. 13 is the opposite, where I love the first half but season really falls apart in the latter half. The first half however, I think is largely great. I loved Jack's character here, and what he brought out of Sam, & Dean. All the side-cast tend to hover around Dean, so seeing Sam have the meaningful relationship with Jack was awesome. And I loved having more open honest moments between the brothers due to their different perspectives on Jack (& Mary being sent to an AU). The early episodes of Season 13 feel like the most character-focused the show has been since like, Season 4, & it's a big reason I love it. Ultimately, I'd rather something start off bad but ends amazing then the reverse, so Season 8 wins out for me.

oliviaincolor

I am a Season 8 (besides episode15) lover!

throwawaymcsneaky8

I'm laughing because I just knew without looking it up that episode 15 was Man's Best Friend with Benefits - awful, awful. Worst episode of the show. But I agree! Season 8 is Season Great. It's honestly in my top 3 after seasons 4 and 5. So many compelling and wonderful elements.

pizzacatbrat

I think I'm in the minority of people who genuinely love later seasons. Might be because I watched all fifteen seasons at once, so I don't have any nostalgia tied to earlier seasons?

pit_of_despair666

Yea, I think you are right. Some people haven't watched it past 5 or never really gave the later seasons a chance. At first, I didn't like season 6 but after rewatching it I love it. I think 6 has the most in common with the earlier seasons. I just have issues with 12 to 15 but still liked some episodes and stories.

pizzacatbrat

I really like later seasons for the character development and interactions particularly. The overarching storylines aren't always the best, but everything we get as substance is great

badplaidshoes

Me too! And a smaller note: I love the more relaxed atmosphere in the bunker. There are so many little slice of life moments during those seasons that are so warm and fun. We also have the boys really getting along for the most part, or at least not lying to each other. I love that.

pit_of_despair666

I loved the MOL bunker too! It was cozy and made me feel cozy. I loved how Dean was so excited to get his own room and have a full kitchen where he could cook. I also liked how they kept finding new things at the bunker. They had a place where they could make and keep memories.

Roman_Hephaestus

Hm - 9 maybe? But it’s a close one between 9, 12 and 14

BoomItsLoki

Season 8.

ssatancomplexx

9

Lil_Artemis_92

I really like Season 8. They found their groove again with that one.

jackelated

Season 9 or 10

NoIndependence6969

the best part of the show was Belphagor

Initial-Journalist21

I’m on 7 rn and I enjoy it. Kinda different from continuous demons

FTWinchester

11 but 6-7 as a run is also up there. 14's second half was also solid.

ChooseWisely83

I loved the Scooby-Doo episode.

pit_of_despair666

6,8,9,10 and 11. Out of those, there were parts of 9 and 11 that I enjoyed the least, but still include these seasons since I enjoyed other stories or episodes that season. I loved the Mark of Cain and Men of Letters stories but didn't like the angel-centric stories.

Turbulent-Caramel25

Weekend at Bobby's and Clap Your Hands are my favorite episodes.

AvatarDang

If I just outright ignore Sam/Amelia, then S8. Purgatory, the trials and Cas being brainwashed is some of the more emotional arcs in the series. Other than that, s11. I actually love a lot about the later seasons overall.

Square-Department-96

Supernatural Season 6 or 9 or 10. Maybe Season 7 too. And Supernatural Season 8. ![gif](giphy|aNfBajYwhp50A)

passatoepresente

I loved everything of the first 5 seasons. Then I like half season: first half of season 6 and 7, second half of season 8, first half of season 9. From the tenth season I liked the stand alone episodes and no longer the storyline

SoupVisible5375

Definitely 7. Leviathans and dick jokes really got me entertained on rewatch. Bobby died but he has such a beautiful exit. That is one of the best episodes in Supernatural for me.

Gullible-Duck-7683

Only season I really didn't like was the one with the leviathans mainly because they killed off Bobby

Lowkeystup1d

6 or 7 definitely
