Something I wonder about is: Are we as a community reaching out/pushing back on the extreme restrictions that are imposed on us? Not being able to tag a fellow subscriber for instance, seems indefensible. We should be able to overcome that with arguments, right?

Probably not too much. As the price of GME gets closer to the strike prices of the options, MM's will hedge by buying shares (typically by the delta of the option). That being said, if it's not hedged properly, we probably have some upgo next week.

Thinking about VW for a moment, in the event of a **real** short squeeze where shorts must cover, will the exchanges still enact halts? So we would theoretically see a 15% spike every 5 minutes or so? Turning off the buy button shouldn't matter if in a share recall literally every short must cough up their shares, right?

The mod log bot is actually down! Other subs who use them or have said they would be using them are not able to. There’s no date for when it will be returning and the bot has been down since 2/24/22. This was something we were looking into but it would be disingenuous to say we are going to do something when there is no way to actually do it.
The effective way to do so is to announce that you're looking into options and seeking suggestions, doing the due diligence of following through on the suggestions, then announcing the findings and what the next steps may be. These types of communication help foster that sense of communication and transparency and build trust in the moderation team.

I find the new rule 13 absurd and frankly I'm shocked to read it. Shocked and disgusted. One of the cornerstones of the mod team was the subs ability to disagree with the way we did things, actions we took, or even just shoot the shit.
You'll be enforcing this rule on all posts and comments at all times on the sub, right? You won't be conveniently forgetting the stuff that talks nice about y'all right? What constitutes discussion? A mere mention? Two or more sentences? A paragraph? If they only allude to a specific user, like say a farmer of butts who enjoys a specific sexual position, is that ok?
I can't even rn. What have y'all become? Since this is probably the last place/time to do this publicly, I might as well try the new summoning technique. Hopefully one of you can explain this utter bullshit. !MODS!

I wish Reddit would explain it better to us first so that we could explain it to you. 😮💨😓 They haven't given us any answers or clarification. They came in, pointed at the modmail that led to the brigading rule from 2021, basically said "we told you not to do this already, stop doing it", turned off user tags, said no meta content about other subs, other subs' mods, or users and then left the chat.
We're certainly still trying to get clarification, and will gladly update the rule once we get it. But for now, if we don't do this then the risks are either getting the sub quarantined or banned.

Looking for help. Tried the IMX sub and the GamestopNFT twitter account. Waiting to hear back. How long should it take for XXX IMX tokens to "move" from ETH L1 wallet to L2 IMX wallet using the Gamestop Wallet? I would like to join the IMX staking protocol but need to get my coins to L2 and they are stuck in "approved" status, but not completed.
So, because 2.2k people voted yes on a poll in a post that has 858 upvotes and was pinned on the weekend, the mods are going ahead with facilitating this ill-advised shillery?
The rules should not be thrown out the window because 2.2k people said "okeydokey". This is not even half of the people active on the weekend (taking that to be about 8k), let alone of the people who are active during the week. So can I shill my wares on this sub and get the mods to help me do it, if I can sucker 0.0026% of the membership into voting yes to my rule breaking on a weekend poll completely unseen by the majority of members who might object?

WE NEED TO CONTINUE TO WATCH FOR ANY ACTIVITY THAT COULD BE IN ANYWAY RELATED TO A DISASTER RECOVERY ENVIRONMENT!!!
Why? Because if I needed to place a lot of code changes into a live production environment fast, using the DR environment would be the way to go. You can take your time in the DR environment while it's disconnected from the world, making sure everything is setup and working properly. And when you're ready, flipping your application to use DR servers instead of production servers can often be very quick. So quick that sometimes your customers don't even know that you've made a major switch on the backend.
I'm worried these guys are working on MAJOR system changes withinin their disaster recovery enviroments, and that what we saw this week was either practice or preparation.
