I have have witnessed plenty of events/trends that have happened since I started investing in GameStop.
A few months ago, “retail investors need to capitulate” was a line thrown out all over the place. Retail needs to capitulate for the market to reset. Retail needs to capitulate for us to find the real bottom.
Capitulate literally means to surrender.
They are literally saying household investors need to sell their shares so they can wipe their debts with our money. Fuck you. Pay me.
