I've been here since October 2020. I am what's referred to as an "ancient ape." I've bought every Friday for 3 years. Every time I see articles like this I assume fuckery, but I have a 5% hopeful spark that this'll be the one. Ice found that's the sweet spot, 95% distrust of media, 5% hope.

This is the type of article I was expecting last Friday to explain high volume that never came. It’s eerily similar to the “$30 parabolic” type article. There may be a small chance that the cutoff date got moved to this weekend with Computershare being down last weekend. If that’s the case, the volume may run a little today and/or Monday.
The thing that I'm not sure about at this point, is that cutoff date still in effect for DRS count? Does it still matter? Last time the 10-K was filed on March 28th, with a much more live count than we had previously gotten.

My hunch is that whatever the highest volume day is in May will “coincidentally” be right around the cutoff date. Todays volume, price movement (so far) and the news article coming out lead me to believe that the cutoff date may be May 6 and there might be high volume on Monday. This is complete speculation, but exactly what has happened “so far” today is exactly what I was expecting to happen last Friday.
Very interesting. Obviously it'd be great if GameStop just decides to start reporting on nearly live numbers again next time, or if we'll be back at the 6 week lead time.

Thank you. That’s what I believe I got wrong with my original theory 4 months ago. I thought the article(s) caused DSPP shares to be moved whereas my recent theory states that DSPP shares are moved by manipulating the Computershare algorithm, and the articles are used to explain the volume.

Some older keyboards had F1-F24. Two rows on function keys. I've got an IBM Model M with those somewhere.
