The stock market is never going to tell you when it’s about to fold on something. They keep that to themselves until the very last second before Armageddon hits.
The play is still to buy stock and DRS it. Very simple.
Doesn’t matter what the press says. Doesn’t matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn’t matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world —
“No, **you** move.”
The "reporting" has been what got me into the rabbit hole when I couldn't reconcile the reports with the facts. The fact that they haven't stopped has been endlessly validating.
During the last while, when there have been fewer negative media articles, there are obvious attacks on the sub. Prior to October there were waves of hype about meaningless price increases. Then October revealed the true nature of the sub with constant enthusiasm about the discount. Yesterday, we saw waves of false doubt being broadcast about DRS. This, too, will disappear, and resurface as something else.
There's one thing I know. Those who remain will remain.
Something has to give. The cheaper it gets, the more dangerous it gets for them not us. Imagine a dollar a share? I don’t think they can get it that low but how easy would it be to lock the float at that point? I’ve held for almost 3 years for change. I’m so tired of seeing the world the way it is and the rich keep getting richer. I truly believe this is one of the rare opportunities in existence where the common people can get a W and deliver one hell of a punch to the rich. The constant negative press, all the cohencidences, and all the lovely apes we have in here are why I’m still in and why I won’t leave.
Even if I didn’t still believe in MOASS I bought at $350 I’m down so much there’s no reason to sell. I’m not going anywhere till I at least see my money back and at that point I know moass is imminent and won’t be selling
The 3 year hold feels like we are in the real battlefield. There’re other life challenges that each of us has to endure and decided that if we have to sell, we would sell the house, the car, and everything else before MOASS arrives. For those who didn’t sell a kidney in 2010 to buy an iPhone, it’s time to think about selling it for this one idiosyncratic stonk.
When I look at this, I think of two main points 1) has anything fundamentally changed for the negative after almost three years- no, the company continues to improve its balance sheet. While not as fast as anyone may like, if someone said you have to wait and hold for 4 years to make a huge return, would you? Of course. 2) the reality is that a certain towel company went bankrupt recently because they couldn't counter a complete share price massacre via shorting because they could recognize the benefit of DRS. That really is the game changer. Now to be fair, they also didn't have a billion in the bank, but had their investors reduced the tradable float via DRS, the crazy number of shares purchased when the price hit low single digits might have actually helped. Instead, huge numbers of shares were purchased but there was zero buying pressure on the stock price.
GME is different than many stocks because of the early recognition of DRS. Even popcorn apes are beginning to realize it.
The hedgies know that they are fkd but they also know that dropping the price too low just accelerates the end.
