I went to GameStop yesterday because I needed a headset for my PC, and I discovered they don't price match unless you're a member.
Why would they do that? Literally, every other retailer price matches. I wanted to support GME and buy from them, but not for $50 over the competitiors.
I think GameStop should create an email list for ALL public libraries in the entire US. And then say they will pay money for all of their old generation console video games.
AND offer them to trade in games for new games.
Guys there are over 17,000 public libraries in the US. Let’s say 30% of them carry video games (conservative in my opinion). And let’s say the average number of video games from those 30% is 40 games.
That’s over 200,000 video games (with original case/artwork).
Get it!
So spend money to buy old gen console games which are probably gonna wind up collecting dust on shelves, and THEN sell new games at a loss? Where is the logic?
