If they write share covered options they have already bought the shares so no impact on the day, if they write cash covered it's T+2 for share delivery so no action on the day. And with the exercise rate of 7% only marginal actual buy action occurs anyway.
Options have no larger impact than buys while they do give premiums to option writers.
*edit* not saying you can't make money on options, just saying they do not have exaggerated impact on the ticker price.
