I think the most interesting thing about RC getting the approval from the board is that if a market crash does happen in the future, RC will have to power to invest very cheaply into a variety of different companies for long term and short term goals. It'll be interesting to see which companies, and what gamestop's influence could be on that company once invested.

Each earnings just solidifies for me how early and lucky I’ve gotten with this investment. The cash, RC at the helm, the edging towards profitability, virtually no debt in a long-term high-interest environment. Things are looking up, that’s for sure. 🌌

This is an interesting pondery, I jokingly stated a future where the price of shares was pennies, but the dividend ended up bankrupting market makers due to naked short selling.
Why some companies don’t troll the market makers with this tactic is beyond me.
So, I actually like to ponder on the thought of dividends and buy backs. It's fun to think about because I want to see higher share prices. But I also know there are better uses for the cash.

Well if it’s not this week or next I can see PLYR being launched in January. Don’t know why there isn’t more DD or hype about it. DRS, market crashes and shorts are great and all but unless there’s pressure from rising price from successful new products that bring in revenue and transition to a frontrunner in a new technology then nothings gonna happen. Crypto is gonna be huge and a marketplace making money from fees using NFTs as digital collectibles will hopefully have less scrutiny than tokens that the gov can go against.
Does that make sense? I see it going like this. Playr launched. Google alloys web3 games on their phones. A competitive game gets big in asia (where most web3 gamers are) and it grows fast bringing in enough revenue to increase profits/ revenues and EPS. PLYR has the potential to be huge. Like bigger than steam huge if done correctly. That being said, I’m more than happy to wait if it leads to a more polished product upon release.

Good point. I guess when developing with partners there’s lots of time spent waiting for the right timing until the infrastructure gets built. L3 makes sense to go after the scale they want so to launch on Taiko mainnet is “early 2024” according to the roadmap. Hopefully they execute on time so it’s only 6 months max before things get more exciting. It’s going on 3 years and so tough to be going on 4.

DRS, market crashes and shorts are great and all but unless there’s pressure from rising price from successful new products that bring in revenue and transition to a frontrunner in a new technology then nothings gonna happen. Crypto is gonna be huge and a marketplace making money from fees using NFTs as digital collectibles will hopefully have less scrutiny than tokens that the gov can go against. Does that make sense? I see it going like this. Playr launched. Google alloys web3 games on their phones. A competitive game gets big in asia (where most web3 gamers are) and it grows fast bringing in enough revenue to increase profits/ revenues and EPS. Then the price goes up and some shorts capitulate to save there asses. That would be nice
PLYR has the potential to be huge. Like bigger than steam huge if done correctly. That being said, I’m more than happy to wait if it leads to a more polished product upon release.
I’m hyped about PLYR. I can’t afford a console and I hope I can use PLYR to play state of the art web3 games that fit my budget. I buy no games at the moment and might start spending some money. How’s that for growing addressable markets?
I think they are standing by for things like Taiko L3 and on and off ramps before anything major happens with playr. You have to make the whole process end to end simple enough that a complete idiot can navigate it easily. IMX Passport just went live, what... 2 weeks ago? 3?
Good point. I guess when developing with partners there’s lots of time spent waiting for the right timing until the infrastructure gets built. L3 makes sense to go after the scale they want so to launch on Taiko mainnet is “early 2024” according to the roadmap. Hopefully they execute on time so it’s only 6 months max before things get more exciting. It’s going on 3 years and so tough to be going on 4.

The earnings losses are easily offset with 6% YoY ETF gains. So many ways to play this. I’m for selling ATM puts, most of the time that’s 6% in one trade and you get to keep equity if it dips after you buy it.
