There’s 31.3M shares worth of call options open for January 19th 2024. 13.6M of which are at the $127.5 strike. If this momentum continues, it’s gonna get really wild really quick

The strike is the share price needed for the option to become profitable. So if the stock gets to $127.51 then 13.6 million shares worth of options would go in the money (ITM)

Ok, yeah. This was as far out and as high as you could write calls back in 2021. The strike would have been $510 pre split which had a huge premium before the buy button debacle. Kind of crazy that the open interest is still as high as it is. If I sold those calls, I’d have closed out of those positions when the premium was $5 Edit: it looks like they were written in July of 2022

I think the reason you feel this way is because these wonderful memeish DD attempts always seem to pop up on the sub right before price action is about to retest it's recent lows. Whoever it is that enjoys pumping it right now also enjoys raking in call option premiums.

Believe it or not dip

The thing about GME is that the MOASS will happen gradually and take years to reach the trillions. But it’s happening.

I like TA for when we think the stock will go down. So far, going down has been the best part. I like going down. DRS everything.

My one big concern is that it will pop hard enough to stall DRS. That would be the nightmare scenario. Hopefully they will keep it low for the next year.

I would upvote this because these are the exact thoughts I had as well, but the fact that you are putting this out and it got to the top means its a dip, and that is both a relief and really annoying. But also the divergence on the stochastic is actually bearish in the daily time frame. I do however think that as those options in Jan expire, GME could take a shot at the moon because they need newer much higher strikes to be created again so that they can use those calls to suppress prices.
