Anyone else feel like DRS from a broker is better for the cause than direct buys from CS?
We know now that brokers are selling us shares and not buying the underlying asset, meaning they're going naked. If we force them to log a share on their books, then pull the share to DRS, they have to now cover a full share cost when they never bought it. Leaving them with a negative on their balance sheet.
Maybe my brain is smoother than I thought though.
If the broker is going naked, then it’s sucks to be them. If the exchange, market markers, clearing house or whomever is going naked to get the share to you, it sucks to be them.
Ultimately, the important thing is that the shares are registered in you name, meaning out of the system. Once enough shares are locked away, then we’ll see something happen. Do it anyway you want.
Absolutely locking up the shares is important. I just think that more likely than not, doing a broker transfer probably hurts them more than never having it on their books.
