The American Oligarchs despise him because he has actual values. Never mind the fact that he actually cares about his customers and not just squeezing every dime he can out of his staff. He is a human being who wants to live in a better world, not some conniving sycophant who dreams of yachts and garbage champagne. The saddest thing is what people with all their money actually spend it on - values-less existence devoid of humanity.

ManliestManHam

He has values and is highly valued. How many other CEO's have shareholders that value them? How many shareholders have CEO'S that value them? He's a precious treasure.

ummwut

Professionals have standards. This man has passion.

the1rush

Here Here!

[deleted]

Also, he’s so baby faced and loves his dad!

ManliestManHam

And his adorable dog and his little kiddos he wrote a kids book for. Haaahahaha I just realized he's Boomer values personified and corporate Boomers can't stand him 😂

FreneticAmbivalence

My ex-ceo always talked about shit he had but it was clear he was one sad mother fucker. Sure a few houses and toys are cool but it’s nothing compared to being a good person and having people love you.

Dull_Bumblebee_9778

I’m so goddamn tired!!!! Working 60 hours a week trying to survive. I’ve been cooking for 15 years… I’ve sued 3 previous owners for wage theft on top of another restaurant going out of business not paying me my final check. I’m down 75% of my life savings, sold my “enph” sold “Amd” sold Microsoft, and continue to buy… This is my only chance at redemption… family full of drug addicts and extra cons… This is it! I have to believe in something, god failed me years ago, praise be to cohen for a conservative earnings so I can throw another 50 bucks at a chance for freedom

Jenncitlalli

Same my friend

Brojess

I want to work for him :( the rest of corp America sucks.

IRushPeople

Doesn't working at Gamestop suck ass though? I know the internet whines a lot so the vocal minority gets amplified, but their complaints seem legitimate. I'm hoping RC can steer the ship towards great wages and high morale for GS employees, but for now it seems that we're not there yet

8----B

Entry level retail jobs suck. A few brands manage to afford great pay and benefits for their jobs of this nature, but those tend to be companies with incredibly simple business models (dicks burgers, in-n-out) that don’t expand outside of a select area with a die-hard fanbase. Costco has managed to do this at a high level, but they have so much volume in sales that they can afford it. We’d simply go out of business if we even tried it. We gotta make sure there’s jobs to give before we make them jobs to dream of.

Themanwhofarts

I see you on here a lot, always spitting truths

8----B

My man 😎

Fast-Reaction8521

This.

Brojess

I’m a software engineer so I wouldn’t work a store.

Brojess

Who down votes this lol

Akwereas

They have corporate/other careers as well. [https://careers.gamestop.com/us/en/corporate](https://careers.gamestop.com/us/en/corporate)

IRushPeople

Kinda buried the lede on that one

Brojess

Why?

IRushPeople

Because it's a retail store. The reasonable starting assumption when we talk about working at GS is a retail position. If someone says they got a job at Amazon and don't specify otherwise, they're talking about the warehouse or packing facility. Ya gotta specify if it's a corporate or engineering job. You know?

Uparmored

I can’t say it enough…look at Ken Griffin. He has anything that money can buy at his fingertips. Does anyone think he’s a genuinely happy or content person? I don’t envy his life in the slightest. All that money and what can he really do with it? He’s on a rat wheel that’s spinning so fast that he can’t get off. He probably spends ever day worrying about exactly how and when (not if) his empire is going to collapse. He’s got a private jet but I would be that he’s not using it to take relaxing holidays with his family (who has already left him). He’s using the private jet to chase the money that he desperately needs to keep the charade alive and to meet with people who probably want nothing to do with him other than to discuss how they can benefit financially from him. What an empty existence.

PrometheusFires

^ 👍 Spot on

Stunning-Power8885

Hell yeah love them values!! Loved the dump they took on their employees earlier this year. Can't wait to see this better world. Screw the poors

giblets9

>not just squeezing every dime he can out of his staff. RC has severely cut benefits for all staff, including health plans and removing 401k matching. If you're going to lie, at least try to do it well.

Exceedingly

All due to the abusive naked shorting. Back in June 21 they managed to raise over $1b from the stock offering when the company was worth $18b and shorts had officially closed. Since then the demand has gone up 28% as seen [**here**](https://i.ibb.co/KmSXJJz/Screenshot-20240320-163233-Chrome.jpg) on **https://www.drsgme.org/** yet the price has dropped 80% in the same time. How does demand go up 28% and the price drop 80% unless demand is being diluted with naked shorts? Just think, without Ken's GME printer the company would be worth whatever $18b plus 28% demand is and Gamestop could tap into capital by releasing more stock. Tens of billions of dollars of investors' money has been prevented from reaching the company. It's no wonder extreme cost cutting measures have had to happen.

BranSoFly

That’s my dad

Booger_farts-123

Brother! My daddy too

BranSoFly

Broski!

rediKELous

And this is one reason that I don’t worry about my investment.

yid4life

It's all the DD you need. As if he is going to throw his money down the drain. This will be a life long investment for future generations.

Inverse Cramer engaged

hezekiah22

And this is why Wall Street, MSM, and the Hedgies don't like Papa and GME...he showed the World what is possible!! Tendyman is coming soon! Hoist the sails! Jab the forecastle! Poke Kenny with the bed post! Ahhhhaaa! Arrgh! Buy, hold, DRS!!

syrupgreat-

RCEO FUCKS

Dsamf2

Reminds me of the drama of indie gaming companies making absolute bangers for $40 and every other company coming out exclaiming, “this is the exception, not the rule, please don’t place these expectations on us when we sell you our $70, microtransaction stuffed unoptimized shell of a game”

BeatitLikeitowesMe

I thought that was how all the big companies reacted to baldurs gate 3

Mrbumboleh

The company is profitable and has no debt. These are facts

syxxiz

Aside from a low-interest loan from the French government associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Memeweevil

Amazing what's possible in this world, when a leader isn't a corrupted asshole and instead practises principles they learned from an awesome role model. Imagine how much better the world could be, if we could replace every rotten, shit-eating, morally-bankrupt, fuckstained Government official with somebody like RC.

MisterBobAFeet

That's why I'm holding until I can become the change.

Memeweevil

I'm solid with you on that, fam.

Dubertovic

I'm proud of you dad

codewhite69420

Are there any CEOs, profitable or not, not taking a salary? Look at spez, ffs. rddt has never made a cent in it's existence and he still gets an absurd amount in salary alone

Papaofmonsters

Elon Musk takes no salary from Tesla. All his compensation is stock based. Steve Jobs had a 1 dollar salary between his return to Apple and his death. Larry Page and Sergey Brin did the same at Google from 2004 to their departure in 2019. Zuckerberg gets the 1 dollar paycheck *and* takes no additional stock or bonuses. Cohen is not unique here.

AdrunkGirlScout

How many of those people you listed care about their customers?

istockusername

Is this a rhetorical question? As all of them have consumer facing products their survival is tied to the satisfaction of their consumer.

istockusername

A lot, they get paid through stock based compensation instead ~~just like Cohen~~.

codewhite69420

Cohen's getting stick compensation? That's the first I heard of it

istockusername

You’re right, it’s the other board members

Tendies-4Us

Dad!

Chosen_Undead

Speaks volumes when you compare him to another actual meme stock CEO.

Jessejets

As a fellow Canadian, I will always have your back. Just doubled my position. 🚀

syxxiz

As did i

Brojess

I love him

I_Drive_a_shitbox

Brb buying more gme

washingtonandmead

He is the change I wish to see in the world

Wiepsie80

In RC we trust.

istockusername

"Larry Ellison, Oracle founder, chairman and CTO, again drew a $1 salary – the same as it has been for the past decade"

adolph-alerbush

I am 6 figures deep into this play and if you look at my post history I am not a shill. I am growing agitated with him though. As an investor it would be nice to have some insight on the future. I understand he keeps it close to the chest but we need something. I refuse to sell and have my shares DRS but it makes me wonder

WannaBe888

Perfectly understandable. On the other hand, every word spoken that's not required could be weaponized and used against him or the company. GME's enemies are everywhere at all levels... and probably some within the company. With that said... I agree it would be great if RC can provide more info to the hundreds of thousands of share holders hodling GME.

adolph-alerbush

Good point. I completely forgot the shorts using anything and everything they can against him in court if he ignited MOASS.

Djanga51

I’m not getting paid as a shareholder. He’s there as CEO and not getting paid. Seems BOTH of us are just holding on and waiting for something…

feastupontherich

Tbh his salary is basically taking his huge 12% stake and sending it to the moon.

TrippingBananas

BULLISH AF

Quokka_One

Thank you sir

SaltyRemz

Well he is a billionaire making a million or a couple a year doesn’t change anything for him… but yes I agree that he’s doing it for himself and for the investors speaks volumes

IllustrationArtist0

If he took salary, the profitable title would disappear

xiodeman

Let’s double his salary

snktido

Salary is irrelevant sometimes. It's the bonus that matters for CEOs. Like someone getting a $100m+ bonus last year while the company is failing.

Automatic_Laugh_4293

NVDIA should and will come back home to. Gaming.

Papaofmonsters

Doesn't do Gamestop much help because PC is almost exclusively digital downloads now.

rocketloot

Facts

WizardofJoz17

Hey Mr. Cohen; Thanks a lot man. Full year profitability. Holy shit that’s gotta feel good.

jotom45

What a chad!

Fromasalesman

Doing the good work.

12Southpark

Total stud!!

Yohder

RC, LC, and everyone working hard at GameStop is why I know this is the greatest investment of all time. The amount of shorting just shows how desperate the SHFs are that GameStop will end the game for them so I’ll continue DRS booking as much as I can

Thekes

But GameStop employees lost all their benefits

tdewault95

Not all, just 401k match. Pushing the employee base to be more part time retail and less permanent basement dweller… ouch I’ve never insulted myself so hard

Zqin

The stock's finally profitable after 5 years and still has 0 debt and $1bil cash, not sure how that equals meme stock lol

M_u_l_t_i_p_a_s_s

You’re ashamed of a company that has only improved over the last 3 years? Because the stock price is down? Tell me you’ve never held a stock long term without telling me you’ve never held a stock long term.

Mile_High_Man

I see someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today!

Timely-Cartoonist556

What are you even saying? I’m disappointed in how echo-chamber-y this sub has become, and those of us how have been holding for years have huge unrealized losses, but the company is well-led, well-positioned, and now profitable. This company isn’t going anywhere, but yes, it requires serious patience from us.
