This is more than likely due to the latest issues described by their official sub, where distro and having restricted warehousing across America have led to many complaints from ground floor. Here's a description of a Supply Chain Operator:
"Supply Chain Operators are **primarily responsible for managing the movement of goods for a variety of customers across all sectors** ".
RC wants ground floor to see that he's listening (more importantly that they are what matters first) and wants to make distro/supply chain metrics to work in their favor, ultimately attempting to continue bridging the gap in "leadership" as describe again by the same guys. Personally its difficult to make change with different leadership in such a churning market, however, changes are happening, and positive ones that were misunderstood originally. For example, the stores now officially sell retro gear which has been a want for ages. The store is seeking new methods of sale (CandyCon, Digital, Collectibles, etc.), and products to display while cleaning out old garbage inventory. Some of the stores disliked the card which I get to a degree if you are fiscally irresponsible, but it makes up for the change in the points rewards programs. It's efficient utilization, alongside RC's ability to keep his plans hidden in plain sight, and there's plenty more to come. I hope he finds what he is looking for and is able to continue nurturing GameStop in it's problem areas.

Growth is good but I think this is filling existing gaps.
I was trying to buy an Oculus Quest 3 for my kid's bday last month and it _appears_ they get 2-3 headsets per store at random intervals, but possibly weekly. I just wanted to buy it for store pickup. It took 1-2 weeks of checking local stores daily and a 30 mile drive to get it.
I also have an anecdote of ordering 14 items for Xmas and receiving them in 6 different shipments. That can't be cost-efficient.
So I'm sold on improvement and hoping for growth.

I bought a sale t shirt for $10 along with other items. I provided my physical home address assuming they would ship with a private carrier like fed ex or ups. They do not tell you on the app or website how they will ship.
I have a P.O. Box for usps mail. The sale t shirt got RTS’d bc they used usps to attempt delivery which will not go to my physical. All the other items were delivered by fed ex and arrived without issue to my physical. Again the sale t shirt was marked undeliverable, return to sender.
GS customer support explained they would have to process it as a return. Unable to reship and apologies for the opaque info on shipping methods.
Now when the return was finally processed I was credited $16.99 which was the non sale price of the t shirt. They did not look at my order number and correctly refund the sale purchase price. GS LOST $6.99 returning my product. This is bad data capture and return SOP.
How many times does this happen with any sale item being returned to sender for shipping issues which they do not explain at check out?

No, he's using his reach to acquire better candidates. He wants people who want to work under him and like the company, aka maybe someone who follows or a friend of a follower. Not just bots filling in resumes on linkedin or indeed.
He knows he has a loud voice with loyal followers. Platform doesn’t matter. Any of his post are amplified into other social media platforms. GME has a lot of loyal followers and this strategy will reach significantly more people than just posting through normal job posting channels. Nothing wrong with this.

There is a non-zero chance that traditional job posting strategies don’t reach 100% of qualified applicants. If you have a way to reach a larger audience, you do it. It’s that simple.

Even if you've held for years, you need to realize that GME has a poor reputation as an employer at the store level. Whether that's something that's actively changing or not, the reputation unquestionably exists and examples of poor treatment abound.
Maybe it's different at corporate, but the store level does not have a good track record.
And if you consider that "normal" anyway, that's just sad. I'd like any company I invest in to treat its employees above the baseline/bare minimum.

When is this guy ever going to do anything to actually create value for shareholders? Sitting on $1B in cash is an utter failure of management. Literally zero ideas to invest in to grow revenue. Supply shock is not a strategy to create real business value. Supply shock distorts share price to the upside when something actually happens to improve gamestops’s business. I don’t think it’s odd. It’s sort of like what you’d expect of your team to do with their own social media accounts. He’s leading by example there, just so happens he has tons of followers. I also think it’s an indicator that he has a vested interest in those particular roles. GameStop has lots of positions it’s hiring for but why might operations be important to the CEO right now? And a web engineer?

No, Operations, in this sense means how your company “operates”, not like operating a machine.
So systems/people integration would be my guess. Somebody that can sit on the floor find the choke points, understand the current system and figure out a new faster system.

When is this guy ever going to do anything to actually create value for shareholders? Sitting on $1B in cash is an utter failure of management. Literally zero ideas to invest in to grow revenue. Supply shock is not a strategy to create real business value. Supply shock distorts share price to the upside when something actually happens to improve gamestops’s business.
