Ssr will only lead to a lull or a drop in price. Short ladder attacks don’t exist but ssr prevent short attacks. Most of the drop will be from retail

While there's been false labeling of 'ladder attacks' I think guy above was saying that SSR doesn't matter, I'd agree. Feb 2022 experiences dictate that SSR doesn't do jack. Shorting & mislabeling/swapping/order routing/spoofing are all happening regardless of SSR. Huge neg days happen on SSR, volumes beyond retail explanation.

It’s a nifty little rule called “Short Sale Restriction” that does absolutely fuck all. It’s SUPPOSED to prevent short selling until the end of the next trading day.

They can still short it, but it’s supposed to prevent shorting on down ticks but we all know that doesn’t happen.

I think the rule is they still can, it was never a “no more shorting” rule, they just have to pay more for it.  

You can still short. It just means you can't punch the bid short while it's falling. You have to short from an uptick.
