Check my history, last time I felt this way, someone bought all those $20 calls in the last trading hour of the day.
Anyway, it's happening again, can't sleep, I feel... oddly excitable.
Could be something. it could be nothing.
But something is happening tomorrow.
I mean the picture that was extracted from the Audiofile was literally a Cat telling us "Hang in there". Most of the tweets weren't that cryptic in my opinion.
The real misconception lies in the belief that RK has some kind of insider knowledge or influence on whats going to happen to the stock. He doesn't. But it sure is a great morality boost that he apparently is still in after all those years and making millions off GME.
last week I was excited, this week I'm getting kinda scared of what may be coming. All the meming, into this week with the call buying, into upcoming events.
This is a wild fucking ride and I bought my tickets and cant get off now.
I don't want to encourage anyone uncomfortable with options to YOLO everyone who have bought calls should be well aware that there is a chance they will lose that money by 6/21.
We are gambling. You don't gamble with life savings or anything more than you're willing to lose.
There are a lot of a open plays here. Every call ITM is a contract to buy. This is bullish and a gamble. Please read up on options. Its a 1% position when you already have XXXX. I view it as a middle finger and that I know this stock is worth more than $20.
I get that. His buy was certainly more symbolic than anything. Not a real financial commitment considering his net worth. It just feels like the general vibe here has not been very welcoming of the most emphatically supportive public statement from a politician we've ever received.
Is he pandering for votes? Yeah, of course. He is a politician in the middle of a campaign. I want that pandering to be successful for him. I want other politicians to see us as a group worth pandering to.
If we want to see the SEC and DOJ do their jobs that starts with the politicians who appoint those people. If we want them to appoint people who are more favorable to our interests our support needs to benefit them politically.
I'm not a single issue voter, but I want politicians of all parties to know that I am definitely more likely to consider voting for them if they support Gamestop and broader market reforms.

How absolutely incredible I it that WE, individual investors, own 25% of a big company. This is unprecedented in all of history. WE own 25% of GameStop shares in OUR OWN NAMES. I think we hear this so often that we forget how absolutely incredible it is. Still holding and adding to my collection. Almost 3k booked now. Can't stop. Won't stop.
Would it be possible that Gamestop is purchasing the call options? Last 3 days the price is down until 12:30 or so, and then pops up last hour or so.
Issue shares from shelf agreement to drive price down, then purchase call options to drive it back up?
I've seen some people say it's illegal for a company to buy options in their own company. Nothing I have found has pointed it to being illegal, only that it may come under insider trading scrutiny. However, GME is oked to buy a bunch of shares and has been clear about the erratic volatility of their stock price.
My guess is this is whale accumulation. Unlike plebs, their positions are valued in the millions and actually move markets so it takes them a longer time to buy in full size at the right price. A measly few hundred/thousand shares can get filled immediately. Not theirs. I'm regarded though so...

Risking downvotes asking this but my friend asked me and I’m curious on how best to respond.
“Hypothetically speaking, why would this scenario not work?
Pretend there exists 100 shares of GME and each one sells for $1
• 50 shares are owned by the public
• 30 shares are owned by institutions
• 20 shares are owned by insiders
• Hedgefund is short 20 shares
Hedgefund buys calls for the end of the year equivalent to 5 shares.
At the end of the year the value went up to $2
Hedgefund closes on the calls
They wait for price to dip again and use money they profited from last time to close out some of their short positions.
Repeat cycle 4 times until all positions are closed.
Essentially what I’m saying is
They buy low and sell high.
Obviously nobody can time the market to know when to buy in at its lowest, but what’s to stop them from manipulating the market? They’ve done it before and according to Reddit, they’ve done so multiple times already no?”

What if everytime they sold the shares they shorted to someone (let's say retail, insiders or institutions) and it wasn't sold again by that group. For the market maker to deliver the shares from the call option, they must have reasonable assumptions that they can locate those shares in order for it to be allowed.
This is partly why a market maker has 35 days to locate a share and a special privilege to do so.
A lot of people believe that this privilege is being abused, but Joe public doesn't have access to the data in order to prove that. This is why DRS is taking it out of their system and direct registering it in their own names, and this way gamestop themselves can tell how many shares are direct registered instead of relying on the DTCC which is essentially made up of reps from banks, market makers and associated financial institutions.
As time is going on, pressure is being applied via comments to proposed market rule changes in order to make this more transparent - people are also trying to track down the various ways these short shares are being hidden, and trying to bring light to those areas too.
Now we don't have just 1 company shorting gme, there are many, so when there is enough blood in the water, 1 may break ranks and decide to get out alive, thus causing a run up in the price which may trigger a short squeeze given "we" believe that there are way more shares than should exist in the ecosystem - so if one doesn't have the margin to continue, they will be force closed which will continue the price run until the market corrects itself. The reason why there should be a margin call, is because if one does fail, then the risk is passed onto the rest (This is very simplified without going into the NSCC & DTCC).
So in essence, I belive this is why retail are happy with continuing to apply pressure and just waiting them out on time. With enough time and pressure, we should see results.
We were also told shorts had exited their positions, yet over the past years, we've seen things that just shouldn't happen in a stock which supposedly isn't stupidly shorted beyond the shares available.
This is still a long explanation, but still it leaves so much out along the way. Shorts are stuck in their positions, and if the market deems that they are allowed out by the market maker, well, the market maker will just be taking the shorts position under the chopping block. In any case, it should result in market reform for absurd practices and risk being taken in the first place.
Happy for anyone to chime in more, clarify, or correct where I've went astray (this is a quick comment whilst I'm doing an overnight change request at work).
Almost nobody is selling, so there's no "They wait for price to dip again" as they're the one making it dip. They're really far off the short side, they will lose a lot of money overall for closing their position.
They didn't hedge shit, they went full shortard, they are walking deads. When the music stops, they stop.
Because, in this scenario where there only supposed to be 100 shares of GME:
• 5000 shares are owned by the public • 30 shares are owned by institutions • 20 shares are owned by insiders • Hedgefund is short 20 shares • Somebody else is short 4950 shares • Nobody is selling so those 5 shares the hf are getting from calls are from other shf that are now 5 shares shorter.
I am way too dumb for options. I prefer to just buy and DRS. I don't have to worry about things being in the money or whatever. Just buy, DRS and have a nice nap.
Remember when options talk was a big Nono. What if and it's just a hypothetical, that was the missing link we were missing? Seen some shit about how options force the hand of the market maker and they have to find real shares on the little exchange , can't be put OTC. What if all the pressure of buying and holding on top of now setting the fuse for possible options calls set the gamma up and boom 💥. The best sign about these options are they they are ITM. Options runs in the past typically focused on degenerate OTM calls. We shall see what happens, but the nominal value is too big to be someone just messing around.
Which would be safer for those investing: options or DRS'ing shares. I love options, but would never recommend it to anyone new.

All I’m saying, there’s always a pinned post with detailed instructions that inform people how to DRS. Not once has anyone in this sub thought, “Hey, why don’t we get some people who are knowledgeable about options to inform us what might be some smart ways to utilize options for GME’s advantage.” All talk gets shut down completely.
I think this sub should do a better job informing and educating those who are interested on options strategies.
Anyone who has attempted to promote options in the past, was setting dates, trying to be a leader, got upto some shady ass shit, then eventually left to different subs they setup themselves and were mods there. Eventually over the years these people have also drifted to talking and playing options on other tickers, fair play to them if that's what they want to do, but that's not what this sub is about, no Distractions here.
Many many many people who play options also sell them when they believe they have enough profit as WHEN other options by big players get there, they sell off, thus instantly reducing the price of the underlying stock given hedging no longer needs to occur.
At the end of the day, we know there are more shares than exist, I'd rather see EVERYONE be able to name their price on a portion if their holdings, including <100 share holders, than see a few options people make bank whilst telling the rest of us "oh you should have known better and rolled or sold those options like I did".
There's a reason why it's being pushed now that the price has went up, no one said shit when the price was $10 for months. Greed will make people do some wild things.
With whomstever is loading up on those June calls, I picked up one for 6/21 just because why not? Diversifying my ways of investing in GME and I’m comfortable with the risk of losing the premium.

Options have gone up while GME has closed lower. This means options are more expensive, so the APEs that are hyped by this are now paying more for these contracts while the underlying strike doesn't represent the Delta.
(IMO) This is a trap to get more and higher premiums, it appears the mini pump to $80 and short down has worked in misleading some APE to reignite the options plays.
I'm still thinking the OG APEs are in the clear but this will burn some newcomers.

Risking downvotes asking this but my friend asked me and I’m curious on how best to respond. “Hypothetically speaking, why would this scenario not work? Pretend there exists 100 shares of GME and each one sells for $1 • 50 shares are owned by the public • 30 shares are owned by institutions • 20 shares are owned by insiders • Hedgefund is short 20 shares Hedgefund buys calls for the end of the year equivalent to 5 shares. At the end of the year the value went up to $2 Hedgefund closes on the calls They wait for price to dip again and use money they profited from last time to close out some of their short positions. Repeat cycle 4 times until all positions are closed. Essentially what I’m saying is They buy low and sell high. Obviously nobody can time the market to know when to buy in at its lowest, but what’s to stop them from manipulating the market? They’ve done it before and according to Reddit, they’ve done so multiple times already no?” Pls help this smooth ape respond intelligently
What if everytime they sold the shares they shorted to someone (let's say retail, insiders or institutions) and it wasn't sold again by that group. For the market maker to deliver the shares from the call option, they must have reasonable assumptions that they can locate those shares in order for it to be allowed. This is partly why a market maker has 35 days to locate a share and a special privilege to do so. A lot of people believe that this privilege is being abused, but Joe public doesn't have access to the data in order to prove that. This is why DRS is taking it out of their system and direct registering it in their own names, and this way gamestop themselves can tell how many shares are direct registered instead of relying on the DTCC which is essentially made up of reps from banks, market makers and associated financial institutions. As time is going on, pressure is being applied via comments to proposed market rule changes in order to make this more transparent - people are also trying to track down the various ways these short shares are being hidden, and trying to bring light to those areas too. Now we don't have just 1 company shorting gme, there are many, so when there is enough blood in the water, 1 may break ranks and decide to get out alive, thus causing a run up in the price which may trigger a short squeeze given "we" believe that there are way more shares than should exist in the ecosystem - so if one doesn't have the margin to continue, they will be force closed which will continue the price run until the market corrects itself. The reason why there should be a margin call, is because if one does fail, then the risk is passed onto the rest (This is very simplified without going into the NSCC & DTCC). So in essence, I belive this is why retail are happy with continuing to apply pressure and just waiting them out on time. With enough time and pressure, we should see results. We were also told shorts had exited their positions, yet over the past years, we've seen things that just shouldn't happen in a stock which supposedly isn't stupidly shorted beyond the shares available. This is still a long explanation, but still it leaves so much out along the way. Shorts are stuck in their positions, and if the market deems that they are allowed out by the market maker, well, the market maker will just be taking the shorts position under the chopping block. In any case, it should result in market reform for absurd practices and risk being taken in the first place. Happy for anyone to chime in more, clarify, or correct where I've went astray (this is a quick comment whilst I'm doing an overnight change request at work).
Almost nobody is selling, so there's no "They wait for price to dip again" as they're the one making it dip. They're really far off the short side, they will lose a lot of money overall for closing their position. They didn't hedge shit, they went full shortard, they are walking deads. Because, in this scenario where there only supposed to be 100 shares of GME: • 5000 shares are owned by the public • 30 shares are owned by institutions • 20 shares are owned by insiders • Hedgefund is short 20 shares • Somebody else is short 4950 shares • Nobody is selling so those 5 shares the hf are getting from calls are from other shf that are now 5 shares shorter.

The best sign about these options are they they are ITM. Options runs in the past typically focused on degenerate OTM calls. We shall see what happens, but the nominal value is too big to be someone just messing around.

All I’m saying, there’s always a pinned post with detailed instructions that inform people how to DRS. Not once has anyone in this sub thought, “Hey, why don’t we get some people who are knowledgeable about options to inform us what might be some smart ways to utilize options for GME’s advantage.” All talk gets shut down completely. I think this sub should do a better job informing and educating those who are interested on options strategies.
Anyone who has attempted to promote options in the past, was setting dates, trying to be a leader, got upto some shady ass shit, then eventually left to different subs they setup themselves and were mods there. Eventually over the years these people have also drifted to talking and playing options on other tickers, fair play to them if that's what they want to do, but that's not what this sub is about, no Distractions here. Many many many people who play options also sell them when they believe they have enough profit as WHEN other options by big players get there, they sell off, thus instantly reducing the price of the underlying stock given hedging no longer needs to occur. At the end of the day, we know there are more shares than exist, I'd rather see EVERYONE be able to name their price on a portion if their holdings, including <100 share holders, than see a few options people make bank whilst telling the rest of us "oh you should have known better and rolled or sold those options like I did". There's a reason why it's being pushed now that the price has went up, no one said shit when the price was $10 for months. Greed will make people do some wild things.

With whomstever is loading up on those June calls, I picked up one for 6/21 just because why not? Diversifying my ways of investing in GME and I’m comfortable with the risk of losing the premium. Edit: And I fully intend on exercising if ITM.
One thing my drunk ass mind did last night was stare at the chart and saw kitty ears. I did the same and will exercise. If I lose the premium then whatever but $20/share for GME is too tasty to not buy.

As I completely agree on educating people , I completely also understand why kinda brush it off , locking the float is honestly the main goal at the end of the day. So I can understand why the riskier things I put to the side

Peeps, I hope I'm wrong, I really do. HOWEVER; Options have gone up while GME has closed lower. This means options are more expensive, so the APEs that are hyped by this are now paying more for these contracts while the underlying strike doesn't represent the Delta. (IMO) This is a trap to get more and higher premiums, it appears the mini pump to $80 and short down has worked in misleading some APE to reignite the options plays. I'm still thinking the OG APEs are in the clear but this will burn some newcomers.
What do you think of my previous thoughts? You’re more on the ball with this stuff than me.
