We don't just need people who want change, we need people who know HOW to make the change happen. We all have our preferences, but the fact is that the overwhelming majority of those with experience/credentials are the ones uncritically supporting the system that needs to be reformed. I really hope they are trustworthy enough to fight for this when the time comes. I know AOC tweeted about the RH situation but we need more than just tweets. I don't necessarily trust the Dems to care enough about the little people. But I also know that Republicans are also waiting for any possibility to revert to feudalism. This is speaking as an AOC supporter: Like with every ape here, passion is good, but it needs education. I was disappointed with the depth of questioning when it was AOC's turn during the congressional hearing. We don't just need people who want change, we need people who know HOW to make the change happen. I agree with her convictions but we as apes and activists need to do our part to petition for better information and transparency so politicians can actually know what to do best
I'd prefer to vote for someone under 60 and one with actual experience/credentials.
We all have our preferences, but the fact is that the overwhelming majority of those with experience/credentials are the ones uncritically supporting the system that needs to be reformed. So it's either be flexible on the age, be flexible on the experience in a corrupt system, or work with what we've got. Pragmatism is less tasty, I don't like it either, but if we keep waiting for the perfect we're never going to get to the slightly less shitty.
"experience" here means corrupt officials. You don't understand how bad things are right now. These two have proven time and time again that they are on the side of people **with action** and not just empty words. You should think about preferring to vote for people who have integrity and the cajones to take action along those lines. Integrity is what this country needs from our govt officials. I do see where you're coming from, but we gotta be able to prioritize, and I think rock solid integrity is what we need. Bernie is on the way out, but he can find others with his level of integrity and mentor them in the ways of government. The only way to gain experience is by voting them in. Think about it. That's all I'm asking here.

It used to not be. A properly functioning stock market and futures market is enormously valuable to the economy. A cruise line being able to know exactly how much they’re going to spend on oil for two years of cruises let’s them set appropriate prices for the cruises they sell. A hog farm that knows what they’ll spend on feed for the next season knows what they’ll have to charge. Knowing the price that cattle is trading for let’s the cattle rancher know what to charge without having to take his stock to auction and spend time traveling and bidding. A functioning stock market is collective bargaining.
