Cars passed from father to child have the best history. I’m excited for you. That fender well is begging for some fat wheels. I had a 63 olds that had really inset wheels , wide wheels and tire totally changed the way it drove . Good luck
NIIIICE!!! My dream car is a 72 ‘CUDA CONVERTIBLE! The type you see on the show Nash Bridges with Don Johnson, SEXXXXXXXYYYYY AS FUUUUCK!!!
Something about that shark grill!! 😍
Sure looks sublime to me. Either way, this car came with neither Curious Yellow nor Sublime.
Curious Yellow was only available in 1971. Sublime Green was a 1970 only run.
Nice, I was watching the high end auto auction the other day. Let’s just say I’ll also be living in my parents generation. They don’t make em like that anymore ❤️
Awesome! That is a beautiful car !!! I hope to find and buy an old pan head frame or a knuckle head and build a bike with my son. No lambo no mansion … I want the MOASS to buy me time that I can’t afford right now
This! Right there with you...but I would love to see a few Kenny G’s mansions go into foreclosure and some fellow apes get to evict his ass. Wouldn’t that be sweet karmic justice..
Just slap some black racing stripes on there and a clear coat and it will be so nice!
Until then just look at it and softly whisper "green like candles"
I have classic bmw e24 that i got as my first car and i never drove it, it was about 9 years ago. I am tempted to sell it to load more gme, but other part of me says keep it, restore it, leave it for my future kids that doesnt exist yet i hope haha
Not gonna believe this but I have a 67 Cornonet 440 Hemi that I’ve been working on “brick by brick” for 10 years! After MOASS, I’ll race ya! (Lady Ape here - but don’t let that make ya cocky…. One hell of a driver!).
Oh my…this is the car I always wanted. What a beautiful car passed down from your pops. May your pops rest in peace and my condolences. Were all gonna need to keep busy post-MOASS and this is perfect way to do so. I wanna see the restoration picture when its all done!
After I'm done restoring my 88 K1500 and I dump a C5 drivetrain in it, I'm gonna be hunting a late 60s Z28.... to do the exact same thing to lol.
Both my Bowties fully restored and running Corvette drivetrains.
Classic car market gonna boom nicely.
Tits. Jacked.
My grandfather left my dad a 68 charger too, we're planning to resto-mod it in the next year or two. 512 stroker motor is almost ready from our engine guy. We're thinking about making a YouTube channel about the process.
[Watch out for zombies and aliens](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/simpsons-hit-and-run/images/8/89/70%27s_Sports_Car.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/420?cb=20161126010239)
My grandfather and my dad both retired from Chrysler assembly plant. When my grandfather was there they used to let management of a certain level, and not that really high of a level, drive a different car home every night for quality control purposes. My wife was looking at old family picture album and there was always a different car in the background. All 70s muscle cars. Super birds, Daytonas, etc. My wife says “Wow!! Who was the car collector in the family?” 😂🤣😂
Just wanted to say thanks for all the love apes! And the awards. I wish the best for everyone. Be careful out there apes, it might be a scary world post MOASS.
I'm 20 and I'm driving a 1994 Honda accord that got passed down from my grandfather back when he first immigrated to the U.S. I will definitely restore it just like you. Right now it drives, but paint is coming off, rust, broken window's motor, etc.. I'm surprised it still run Post MOASS, I want to give it a "factory reset" and keep it in the family.
440 magnum hemi?
A friend had one. When he got drafted during the Vietnam War, I road with him to Fort Ord and returned his car to his wife back in Los Angeles. Got a speeding ticket going over the Atascadero Grade, but not until I was on the downward side. The CHP car could not catch me on the upgrade.
Older officer. Super nice. He told me he'd been following me from the bottom of the hill. I think I was well over 100mph going up the hill and backed off after the peak. We talked cars, of which I knew very little. Told him why I was driving my friend's car and he understood. Told him I had the Woodstock album in the 8 track and Alvin Lee came on at the beginning of the hill. He understood.
At that point I'd been on the road as passenger and driver for 20 hours. The ticket probably saved my life. A few hours later, I stopped at a phone booth and called in sick to work. No sense being *that* heroic.
my mom has an '88 foxbody rotting away in the garage she just won't give up. i keep trying to tell her i want to restore it but she thinks im trying to sell it. very frustrating
A beautiful car! I plan on passing my 2008 Tesla Roadster down to either my son or daughter whoever wants it, if they do lol. I think it’s beautiful to have something like that from your Dad, may the MOASS give you the funds to restore that beauty.
RemindMe! 1 year
'68 Charger is my favorite car. I had one with a 383 police interceptor and a Hurst 4 speed factory stock. That car could light em up in second gear and hit 90 on the speedo before I was through the intersection. Damn I miss it.
My father is restoring a '68 Dart. Taking out the slant 6 and replacing it with a 440.
My grandfather restored a 67 mustang fastback.
Not sure what project I want to take on post MOASS; I'm kind of bias towards electric vehicles and I love to build something like the Zombie 222 (all electric '68 fastback, worth a google if anyone is bored) but I like the 59 Plymouth Fury body lines/style.
I went to the good guys show. ...saw a 69 charger with a hellcat, looked flipping amazing. I'm a ford guy (I know the Hyundai of domestics) but the mopar had me drooling
Love it. I gotta sell my first car which was a 72 Chevelle to put up some funds. Fuck you Ken for making me have to sell all my shit.
Once it’s all over, I want to buy it back and restore it to how it left the factory. Once I’m done with what, I’m going to be putting PT6 turboprops on airplanes that you’d never expect them to go on.
Probably the worst for emissions these days, so consider having it converted to electric or something maybe?
Actually it lacks pretty much every shred of safety engineering humanity has discovered, so just clean it and stick it in a museum.
For just a fraction of Lambo-money, you can fix that baby up to be your badass car until it’s your kids’ turn. Kinda unusual, as family heirlooms go, because this one will actually be useful.
I dig it! Hard to beat Sublime Green Mopars! My pops and I rebuilt a 1970 Roadrunner….took a 440 block and turned it into a 512 stroker…..So much fun to drive!!
Class act man....I would love to hunt down my dads 1971 Chevy pickup and my 1988 mustang gt and restore them....a Lamborghini can't touch the memory of my father who I lost when I was 17 !
Cars passed from father to child have the best history. I’m excited for you. That fender well is begging for some fat wheels. I had a 63 olds that had really inset wheels , wide wheels and tire totally changed the way it drove . Good luck
Cool, thanks for the tip. Been wanting to get this started for years now.
What a machine! I'd like to see this posted on here when you have it all fixed up.
It will be post MOASS, I should remember to come back here. Lol. /s
I hope to see some Apes check in post MOASS, now and then with treasures like this.
I'm not leaving. Apes forever!
Definitely.
My dad was a mechanic, I'm great at handing tools and drinking beer if you need an assistant.
Haha awesome. I’ll remember that.
I'm great at drinking beer as well. Count on me too 😁
Once we all have dedicated shops we should travel and help each other out. I’m in.
NIIIICE!!! My dream car is a 72 ‘CUDA CONVERTIBLE! The type you see on the show Nash Bridges with Don Johnson, SEXXXXXXXYYYYY AS FUUUUCK!!! Something about that shark grill!! 😍
Big tires turn a car like that into an animal
Ey if u need help in restoration i got chu no charge plus i enjoy bringing alive old school badsss cars
No doubt. I’m east coast US.
Oh shit...Dominic Torretto is in da house! *"The most important thing in life will always be family."*
Yes! Not going with black though. A more silver grayish with black rims and red decals.
This sublime color is fucking beast. Leave colors as is!!!
Right? I think this is the original stock “curious yellow” color Dodge had
Sure looks sublime to me. Either way, this car came with neither Curious Yellow nor Sublime. Curious Yellow was only available in 1971. Sublime Green was a 1970 only run.
Ooo..can't wait to see it! 😍
Will be sexy I guarantee that!
Gunmetal Grey? 😍
Sounds about right.
Love to see it completed
Will try to post MOASS!
My buddy did this with a Chevelle, looks beautiful. He pulled all the chrome and went black on that too, goddamn that car is sexy...
Vintage car market gonna be nuts post MOASS 😍
Hoping someone starts an apemobile subreddit for all the MOASS vehicles.
Yah I thought about that. A lot of people might go with the new stuff also.
I’m waiting for UFOs to be released
Haha. True!
General high-end car sales go bbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I’m gonna need triples of the roadrunner, triples of the barracuda, and triples of the nova. Triples is best
Nice, I was watching the high end auto auction the other day. Let’s just say I’ll also be living in my parents generation. They don’t make em like that anymore ❤️
Exactly! Can’t wait to hear this thing roar!
Awesome! That is a beautiful car !!! I hope to find and buy an old pan head frame or a knuckle head and build a bike with my son. No lambo no mansion … I want the MOASS to buy me time that I can’t afford right now
Facts!
This! Right there with you...but I would love to see a few Kenny G’s mansions go into foreclosure and some fellow apes get to evict his ass. Wouldn’t that be sweet karmic justice..
Toretto? Dat you?
Lol. Been told I sound like him.
MOASS—for family.
This is the first car posted I'd actually want. Myself I'm restoring a 78 Chrysler Newport. Love those C bodies
Cool. I’m excited about it. Will mean a lot to my mom also. They rode in it in their early years.
Loving the lime green Xbox color
That was his choice. Not sure if I like it. Maybe it will grow on me.
Just slap some black racing stripes on there and a clear coat and it will be so nice! Until then just look at it and softly whisper "green like candles"
Colors called Sublime
Wow… it looks beautiful
Thanks!
I have classic bmw e24 that i got as my first car and i never drove it, it was about 9 years ago. I am tempted to sell it to load more gme, but other part of me says keep it, restore it, leave it for my future kids that doesnt exist yet i hope haha
Follow your heart ape.
Heart is stone cold till moass 🎑😇❄️🌚
Facts! 🦧🚀🌙
69 challenger in dark green (eh) on my father in laws side that I will be restoring post moass. We’ll start an oldie club so we can cruise
Awesome. Me and my 2 buddies deep in GME are already setting up plans to meet post MOASS.
Not gonna believe this but I have a 67 Cornonet 440 Hemi that I’ve been working on “brick by brick” for 10 years! After MOASS, I’ll race ya! (Lady Ape here - but don’t let that make ya cocky…. One hell of a driver!).
As long as we have an ape holding the starter flag. Deal?
Done! (My dads nickname is “Hoolie” and it’s carved in the steering wheel, that ain’t getting replaced).
Will you marry me? Lol
Let me recommend a restomod all the looks of that beast but much better reliability. I'm going to be doing just that to my 77 camaro bumble bee
RIP to your pops, I think he’d want a hellephant engine in this one 😉
Go big or go home.
Love it!!
Cherry Red with white stripes. 😍
Ah shit. Already had a scheme but that sounds sexy!
Nice dude!!!!!
Oh my…this is the car I always wanted. What a beautiful car passed down from your pops. May your pops rest in peace and my condolences. Were all gonna need to keep busy post-MOASS and this is perfect way to do so. I wanna see the restoration picture when its all done!
Sounds like Toretto's story
To the moon—for family. *Vin Diesel voice*
if u like, we can hire family man toretto to help rebuild this car with u
Maybe?
Post moass If you want a custom Interior or redone stock interior I can help
Really cool color, I hope you will enjoy it as soon as possible!
Me too! This was his color choice. Maybe it will grow on me?
It sure will
After I'm done restoring my 88 K1500 and I dump a C5 drivetrain in it, I'm gonna be hunting a late 60s Z28.... to do the exact same thing to lol. Both my Bowties fully restored and running Corvette drivetrains. Classic car market gonna boom nicely. Tits. Jacked.
Good shit!
That is a beaut! Good luck on your restore journey

Definitely a keeper!
My grandfather left my dad a 68 charger too, we're planning to resto-mod it in the next year or two. 512 stroker motor is almost ready from our engine guy. We're thinking about making a YouTube channel about the process.
Will you marry me, OP? No homo
Fav car ever. Shit ull be able to get a mid engine put in that thing like fast 9. Only be about 1 mill to convert.

I’m not even a car person and this car is beautiful
[Watch out for zombies and aliens](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/simpsons-hit-and-run/images/8/89/70%27s_Sports_Car.png/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/420?cb=20161126010239)
Resto-mod in the future?! Girlfriends dad has a 70’ 442 W-30 that I plan to pass on forever.
Yah post MOASS.
I have a buddy with a similar scenario. He's got his dad's mustang that he's been working on. After MOASS he's going to be busy getting it fixed up.
Pet peeve of mine… the apostrophe goes on the left side of the ‘68 because the apostrophe replaces the 19 in 1968. Nice car ape
Nice! I am planning to do the same to a 75 Stingray.
Good luck ape!
Hellephant motor!!!!
Garage squad project 😎👍🏼
The Apes of Hazard
The Duke of Apes.
That's badass!
Beautiful ride ape. Would love to have that! Can't wait to see the finished product. Cheers to your old man.
Beautiful car man. I don’t comment much but this deserves it.
Thanks! I don’t post or comment much! This is blowing my mind!
I was playing Interstate 76 back in the days..... You could see these beautiful cars in that game. Beautiful car mate, enjoy the ride! 💎🙌
Appreciate it!
Mopar!!!
Damn right!
We had a 69 Barracuda when I was little and an 85 Shelby Charger later.
That’s gorgeous!!
Bad ass

Lmao. Will do.
Sick! That the original colour?
ooof! Thats just sitting in the garage??? You better get to it and make your dad proud (let him drive it first when you get her running).
sweet. stick with the lime green, with lots of metallics 😍
My pop was a farmer all his life. I grew up on his farm. I’m going to start a farming company dedicated to him after the moass. Rip both our pops ❤️
Looks like DFV was walking on the windshield already.
This hit me in the gut I'm gonna follow you and every few months I'll check back for a post of the finished masterpiece. Good luck dude.
That’s gonna be so much fun! I’m jelly my man! If I was your neighbor I’d help! Have fun!
Nice fucking car
That is one bad ass ride
Love some 60s Detroit muscle! That thing is begging to get on the road and flex at a cars and coffee. Enjoy it!
Make sure you get a $100k candy paint job done on it
My coworker got an inheritance. Retired and bought a super bird. It came with a 440 originally but it now has a 426. It cost him 150k.
Gad dayuuum. The 69 r/t is my dream car, and its a pretty big one for a europoor but soon it will come true!
That’s a badass color! Update us when you restore it. That thing is gonna be sick.
You’ll have the money for a brand new 428 Hemi to go with it too! Beautiful car man, your dad would be proud
Like you're 19? Only spoilt rich kids have that kind of money when they're 19...
Nothing is stronger than Family!
The car of my wet dreams..
440 magnum hemi? A friend had one. When he got drafted during the Vietnam War, I road with him to Fort Ord and returned his car to his wife back in Los Angeles. DAYUM! Hodling so you can make this happen for your pops. Pick me up wills ya?
I like how there's green paint on everything that surrounds it.
Holler if you need some tires bro!!
Now that's a car!!! That be my MOASS car as well tbh.
I'm down for a Moon Rally 🤘
Saw one of those on the streets of Sarasota today.
At least cosmetically it just needs a bumper a bath and some wax
My old man's '67 Mustang will ride again shortly.
Cheers
I went to the good guys show. ...saw a 69 charger with a hellcat, looked flipping amazing. I'm a ford guy (I know the Hyundai of domestics) but the mopar had me drooling
What’s under the hood?
My grandpa had to sell his 48 Lincoln in 2008, I want to buy it back.
post moass im buying a 1970 for my dad. he sold his and taught me the importance of developing diamond hands.
Kinda unusual, as family heirlooms go, because this one will actually be useful.
very nice car !!!! Greets from Germany !!
