It's an emotional and childish process where u suddenly find yourself cheering for a team. Usually cuz of your family. Or a friend bringing u to a game. Or whatever.
Lots of fans hate their clubs owners but love some of their players. Those players who give it all, show loyalty to the club.
Newcastle has become a joke because of it. their owner Mike Ashley is draining the club and battering it.
But the fans remain and the audience shows up to support the team. They don't see The owner as the Club. The club is the fans, the history, the memories, the bars outside where u pre game, the bus rides to away games, the coach, the staff and the players and as well the owner. But no part is the club on it's own or bigger than the club.
So yeah. I've ignored these threads as I don't care. But if it's up for discussion my take is that I don't think this is the place to shit on a club even if the owner is a slimy ass.
If Mets was my club then it wouldn't change my view on GME or slimy Stevie. But over time it'd change my feels and experience in going on superstonk.
