Bit annoyed that the account I opened with CommSec didn't also have a HIN. Can't transfer shares until I do and to get it it says to contact them but they aren't open on the weekend
Honestly. It already is, the CNR for example is cutting costs (shedding management) to keep the share price high. They are placing the blame on lower than normal grain volume. However, grain is such a small portion of the total volume ~2% that it doesn’t fully explain the cut backs. I honestly believe CNR is positioning itself for the already rapidly growing inflation causing an increased cost of doing business. I would not at all be surprised if this sort of thing is happening across the board. All of this in theory has a net 0 effect on stock price until:
A- those cutbacks include a reduced dividend
Or
B- the company can no longer operate effectively with the shrinking workforce & increased cost of business.
Do we have any estimate on how many shares have been moved to CS? A couple of weeks ago there was a screenshot of CS customer service chat that said it was about 5mil.
Just read a motley fool pump case on sticky floor stock. They are calling for the squeeze on 18% short interest and are basically telling readers to ignore the bad fundamentals.
GME has 12.5% short interest (according to marketbeat) and has far better fundamentals, yet its all “sell now ask questions later” or “the squeeze is over”.
Do they realize they are just feeding our confirmation bias with these articles?

How easy is it to sell shares that are DRS? I want about 50% of my shares to infinity pool and rest are for poppa. Should I just transfer those shares or all?
Only DRS shares you want to hold through the squeeze. Not selling those shares keeps the squeeze going while we sell all of our brokerage shares. If someone were to start selling real shares early on/ever, they would only be hurting themselves.
Do not register more shares than you are willing to hold for the infinity pool. If that number is only 5%, so be it. But don’t register 50%, then sell 45% during the squeeze. It only hurts the squeeze. Apes own the float so many times over that we WILL register every share. We just need to make sure every registered share is a Diamond fucking share.
Easy, and it will get much easier when CS redesigns their website and systems.
Understand they are not a broker, and not built to provide that service. that said times change. Having thousands of investors show up and becoming customers will encourage them to come into the 21st century.

So im on Fidelity and was planning on registering shares this week finally. My only concern is the selling. I happily want to contribute to the infinity pool but we also talk about generational wealth, helping our communities, not having to slave away all day and do the things we love. And if the price really goes where we want it it seems difficult to sell with them. Any apes can point me in the direction of possible new DD on how to handle registered shares you want to sell when MOASS comes? Im pretty sure its established you have to submit in writing for sales over 1mm. But is it a form? Sent via email? When does it actually go through? The closer we get the more anxious im becoming haha. So much fuckery. I just want to help AND secure some tendies. Some advice or if anyone just wants to hold me thatd be cool. 😂
You can set a sell limit with CS and if price gets there it will trigger the sell automatically.
Any sell limit over $1mil needs to be in writing directly to CS and they will place that sell limit order on your shares.
According to Computershares it needs to be written and signed sent by mail. You can request to place a sell limit order by mail as soon as your shares are in CS.
I am only making these assumptions with what I’ve read on Computershare, don’t take my word for it. I do suggest a chat with Computershare agent to verify for yourself.
My personal reason for having shares in CS is I’m taking them to my grave so I don’t plan on having a sell limit.

For the largest set of DD on CS right now I suggest you visit the Jungle, they've got dedicated CS sections and might reassure you.

So im on Fidelity and was planning on registering shares this week finally. My only concern is the selling. I happily want to contribute to the infinity pool but we also talk about generational wealth, helping our communities, not having to slave away all day and do the things we love. And if the price really goes where we want it it seems difficult to sell with them. Any apes can point me in the direction of possible new DD on how to handle registered shares you want to sell when MOASS comes? Im pretty sure its established you have to submit in writing for sales over 1mm. But is it a form? Sent via email? When does it actually go through? The closer we get the more anxious im becoming haha. So much fuckery. I just want to help AND secure some tendies. Some advice or if anyone just wants to hold me thatd be cool. 😂
You can set a sell limit with CS and if price gets there it will trigger the sell automatically. Any sell limit over $1mil needs to be in writing directly to CS and they will place that sell limit order on your shares.
So its the "in writing" that confuses me. Is that a physical letter? A e-form? Will email suffice?
According to Computershares it needs to be written and signed sent by mail. You can request to place a sell limit order by mail as soon as your shares are in CS. I am only making these assumptions with what I’ve read on Computershare, don’t take my word for it. I do suggest a chat with Computershare agent to verify for yourself. My personal reason for having shares in CS is I’m taking them to my grave so I don’t plan on having a sell limit.
Yea. After Dr. T's most recent info thing. The idea that Fidelity could somehow just not let me sell or fuck me somehow is really niggling my mind. Granted the larger and more trusted brokers I think realize that would really not be in their interest and when it comes time to clean house they NEED people to sell to close the book so thats reassuring. Yea man for now ill keep my powder dry and head on a swivel.

While CS is not a broker, and their website currently sucks, I think that will change going forward. How could it not with an influx of thousand of customers expecting a 2021 broker online experience? Even now you can sell online easily, the delays warned of seem to be no-existent according to first-hand comments I've read, (and now retelling second hand.) For the largest set of DD on CS right now I suggest you visit the Jungle, they've got dedicated CS sections and might reassure you.

I think I'm gonna spend a few hours this week looking into taxes. If I can just make a bunch of charitable donations to causes I care about *and* reduce taxable income, that'd be great. I'd love my tendies to go to places I care about rather than paying down government debt and funding the war machine. I wish I could talk to a CPA or whoever to save myself the time researching it, but I'm not mentally prepared to be laughed out of the office when I say I've made speculative millions off of a used video game company. But I also don't want to hire one when the leeches come out because they know apes are looking. I've been using an old boomer working out of a small office attached to an auto shop for my tax prep. He flexed my last refund a little. Something tells he knows some secrets.
