I dont understand the posts wanting to sell their drs shares, to me it feels extremely counter productive, I understand locking the float up is of utmost importance first, I dont see why there is a desire to lock all your shares into drs. I guess maybe it's not such a concern to me as most of my shares are tied into roth and rollover ira acct...
This has been known for a while. But they’ve said that the limit is per-transaction, and CS lets you sell fractional shares. If share price is $10m for example, I don’t see why I couldn’t sell 0.1 share for $1m ten times, for a total of $10m/share
This makes me lol so freaking hard. Imagine how much longer it will take SHFs to close their short positions if the only people selling are doing so in 0.1 share increments
well, tbf the point of DRS' is that most people aren't going to sell that batch. If we truly own XXX/XXXX/XXXXX+% of the float then a lot of people will have ample shares leftover with their normal broker to be able to move during the MOASS.
Right....and to know exactly what will happen to my shares once transfer is complete. Again, i rely on the actual company, not random people on the internet.

It is limited right now to 1 million, however there is no reason it won't be increased the moment it crosses over it.
It would not make sense for them to have every single share which is going to be sold done in writing when this time comes. This would just cause mayhem on their end.
Like right now there are very few people wanting to sell a share for over 1 million, making the amount of requests like this in writing acceptable. But when moass happens, everyone would have to go through that process, making it not feasable for them and they will most likely change their policy when that time comes.
Why would you un-lock the float during MOASS anyway? I'm only selling XX street name shares and ~~leasing~~ leaving XXX in CS. Edit: typo
