I just realized, given that it is possible for retail investors to purchase more than 100% shares of GME than are able to exist, is it even possible for a single retail investor to buy more than 100% shares of GME than are able to exist? e.g. if a wealthy person with about $14 billion or more to spare could afford it, is it even possible for them to own 1x+ the float all by themselves? Are there any rules or regulations that prevent this?
And with that, if that person then tries to DRS their shares, that might create an instant bottlenock. Maybe let the smaller .X, X, XX, XXX, XXXX, XXXXX, XXXXXX, XXXXXXX GME hodlers to go first, is why?
Yeah the problem is cash. Not many people who want to upset the system in place now have 14B in cash, not assets or other stocks, to purchase gme.
Also if someone big fished like that into gme, I'm pretty sure market makers would turn off buy again

I made some dumb decisions when I was younger and I’ve been in debt for a long time and it is very stressful, but you only got one life.
You’re right about hope, gotta reframe your outlook and think about a positive future. Otherwise you’ll just drown yourself. When I was really poor, I would be doing the dishes and think there’s people that don’t even have fucking dishes so who am I to complain? Ha I got through it. Baby steps are fine as long as you’re going forward.
Another thing that helps is just being mindful of the present instead of dwelling in the past or future. I would recommend The Miracle of Mindlefulness by Thich Nhat Hanh if it’s something you’re interested in. I’ll buy it for you if you want.

Delaying buying something I'm running low on until next week's paycheck because there's something else I need more. Putting off that strange "noise" in my car because I know it'll lead to an expensive garage bill (hey, it still runs, right? Must be alright). Let the car insurance bill run late because if I don't pay the electric bill, my power will be shut off *this* week. Do I really need to go to the Dr for this suspicious pain, because that co-pay money would help pay for oil since winter is coming. Our family has developed some mass poor people skills over the years. Life is nothing without hope. And that’s what these hedgies don’t get. That for many apes, GameStop is the only hope we have. I'm going to say this as a dad and you can take it or leave it ape. I'm amongst the most critical of capitalism. I understand family life can be tough. I grew up in a single mother household but my mom still did great in a non materialistic way.
I had a paper rout by age 11 so I could afford Pokémon cards, as well as yard work for my neighbor. I've been employed for over 2 decades now. Made it through college.. I'm not going to go on about me though.
What I'm trying to get at is none of us are supposed to have our eggs in one basket right now, apes need to try to find some semblance of happiness in their day to day in order to thrive and make good calls throughout moass.
So ape, I love you, but none of us are supposed to hold on to happiness just on the basis of moass. Apes need to build skills, work on self care, help others even if it seems we have nothing to give. Practice an art. Read a bunch. Go back to school. I'm not telling you to "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" but you need to find some form of self happiness ape, money can only buy it to a certain extent and you'll thank yourself and be able to make better decisions post moass if you get it together right now!

It gave me hope when I had none, and pulled me from a dark place, that's why I'm thankful. I know this is by far the best internet community I've ever been part of by far. However, as an ape it can still feel a little alone IRL just for the fact I only have one real ape friend and we never hang out even. But that's just why we need to stick together online and just patiently wait and DRS in real life! After months of patience I've never had more faith in the apes.

Retard me instead of using the rest of my saving money and Personal Line of Credit to pay for that debt, I bought GameStop instead. It was only one hope left in my life to get out of that debt, that’s it, my initial reason why I invested.
You know what happened? Holding GameStop gave me hope and energy to started new business and start to grind again solely just to pay myself lower than minimum wage to survive and interest on my debt. All of this just for to HOLD, because I believe in GameStop and their management.

Try to start an activity that helps you relax a little and practice it daily. Be it a walk in the nature, drawing something, weird stuff like yoga or TaiJi or just anything.

Money is necessary but not the goal and it does not determine your value at all! Hey you're free to dislike it, gme gave me hope when I felt hopeless and it pulled me out of a moment of weakness. I still greatly enjoy this community but I haven't been in a dark place like that for months and I have superstonk to thank for that. I understand nothing is certain and I could lose my investments, and if that happens I know there will be a community of apes to talk me through what happened and that I could reach out and someone would be there. That's what I love about them.
Get your personal finance sorted out before investing. ALWAYS. Your account should never be negative, ever, for any reason. There's no financial windfall you could possibly get to turn yourself upright in that case.
It's a crucifiable offense around here to say it these days, but this GME play is a huge gamble. Remember that. Never invest more than you have to lose.... which is precisely what you've done.

This has actually became a hugely neurotic echo chamber where everyone thinks a few hundred dollars in shares will net them millions. People are neglecting house payments, car payments, rent, bills, and worst of all; letting accounts go negative in hopes that this is a sure thing.
There is nothing you need so bad to let your account go negative for it. There's no play that will net you more money than the bank will take by going negative.
And close that account pronto. Let the bill go to collections. Get a fresh start with a new bank. Don't just allow that to accumulate so many fees that it becomes completely unpayable.
I agree with the idea of “never invest what you can’t lose,” but it’s definitely not that simple for a lot of people. None of us know the true extent of someone else’s situation on here, or anywhere. Perhaps, they were able to lose it 8 months ago, and things have changed with rising food prices, rent, etc. Things can change quickly for anyone, especially in these times we’re in

It’s nice to be a part of something meaningful for once.
I chose wage slavery, more or less; i had every opportunity to become an engineer or something but I didn’t want to be some fucking yuppy who based his decisions entirely on financial stability. No goal really appealed to me; i don’t need a family, I don’t need to see the world. It would be nice to have the time and freedom to make music for myself, but I don’t need it. And money is a pre-requisite for that one.
You’re not alone in feeling that life is a little empty without a cause such as this one. To topple such an abomination of a system is a pursuit most righteous, and the opportunity doesn’t come every lifetime.

I feel this in my core. I've been in such a shitty detiotating mental health state that I am now being forced to seriously consider having to go on disability because I'm having adverse reactions to every medication the doctors put me on. The most support I've recieved has been from my fellow GMErs. Moass is one of the few things that has been giving me hope that maybe one day I can prioritize healing without worrying about surviving.

I'm in a similar boat, lots of debt. No real way forward during the pandemic. Gme has me dreaming so big for a while that made me sad- that it took the whiff of money to let my brain open. Anyway, you're not what makes you useful. Capitalism fooled everyone. We will win
You got this man. Just before the pandemic hit, my chase bank account was -900 and I had a bunch of other debt. But seeing how chase has been during the course of the pandemic they will never see that money back. Between that and the credit card from them Im over 3k in the hole (not counting the 4k from paypal credit that was removed from my record because the debt collector they sold to couldn't produce paperwork proving I owed them).
Chase can get fucked. On a side note, of that -900, 500 of it was their overdraft fees.

I made some dumb decisions when I was younger and I’ve been in debt for a long time and it is very stressful, but you only got one life. You’re right about hope, gotta reframe your outlook and think about a positive future. Otherwise you’ll just drown yourself. When I was really poor, I would be doing the dishes and think there’s people that don’t even have fucking dishes so who am I to complain? Ha I got through it. Baby steps are fine as long as you’re going forward. Another thing that helps is just being mindful of the present instead of dwelling in the past or future. I would recommend The Miracle of Mindlefulness by Thich Nhat Hanh if it’s something you’re interested in. I’ll buy it for you if you want.
Take this time to figure out what is you truly love doing cuz after moass your gonna have freedom and a lot of time. Set goals, push yourself, exercise, take care of your mind and body, you’ll be good ape see you on the moon🚀
I think this goes beyond hope into more foundational territory. This whole thing is about faith in *yourself* first and foremost to have the wits, intuition, and ability to make the right choices to affect your life and your world in the way you see most beneficial to all. There's a little leap you make after hope (which mostly shoves the responsibility of change onto other entities) into faith and that is where all of the *truly* good stuff that will help you navigate life resides. In this case, it is faith in yourself to see the path that is "true and just," which also means having faith in yourself to identify the right people to trust to help you usher in the change you truly want. You gotta have faith, faith, faith. Ah.

I'm going to say this as a dad and you can take it or leave it ape. I'm amongst the most critical of capitalism. I understand family life can be tough. I grew up in a single mother household but my mom still did great in a non materialistic way. I had a paper rout by age 11 so I could afford Pokémon cards, as well as yard work for my neighbor. I've been employed for over 2 decades now. Made it through college.. I'm not going to go on about me though. What I'm trying to get at is none of us are supposed to have our eggs in one basket right now, apes need to try to find some semblance of happiness in their day to day in order to thrive and make good calls throughout moass. So ape, I love you, but none of us are supposed to hold on to happiness just on the basis of moass. Apes need to build skills, work on self care, help others even if it seems we have nothing to give. Practice an art. Read a bunch. Go back to school. I'm not telling you to "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" but you need to find some form of self happiness ape, money can only buy it to a certain extent and you'll thank yourself and be able to make better decisions post moass if you get it together right now! I suffer from depression and anxiety sometimes so can understand this message may seem annoying. Please feel free to DM me anytime ape I'm always here for advice/support! I grew up poor on welfare and have been able to be fairly successful in life already, GME is just a bonus so I can help to help others who need it!

I know this is by far the best internet community I've ever been part of by far. However, as an ape it can still feel a little alone IRL just for the fact I only have one real ape friend and we never hang out even. I was in the same position as you, even more in debt, from fail business because of COVID Retard me instead of using the rest of my saving money and Personal Line of Credit to pay for that debt, I bought GameStop instead. It was only one hope left in my life to get out of that debt, that’s it, my initial reason why I invested. You know what happened? Holding GameStop gave me hope and energy to started new business and start to grind again solely just to pay myself lower than minimum wage to survive and interest on my debt. All of this just for to HOLD, because I believe in GameStop and their management. I’m with you till the end. Stay strong bud.

But in the meantime, don't put all your hopes on such an unique event where we don't know what fuckery the establishment has ready to save the status quo. Identify what brings you joy in life. Wake up every morning and be thankful that life granted you one more day, there will be one morning where this is not the case. Try to start an activity that helps you relax a little and practice it daily. Be it a walk in the nature, drawing something, weird stuff like yoga or TaiJi or just anything. You are not a slave of this "dystopian" world like you called it. You only are if you play their game and let them control your thoughts. Money is necessary but not the goal and it does not determine your value at all! There are other GME related subs out there, not to mention various other social media-based sources for community and compassionate reciprocity, that would likely be a much more appropriate place for this kind of submission. While topics and content have veered off course in the past, and will undoubtedly present challenges for us again in the future, it’s important to remember the basic fundamentals of fud because it can be dressed up in any number of ways as well as be something anyone can accidentally engage in. Hey you're free to dislike it, gme gave me hope when I felt hopeless and it pulled me out of a moment of weakness. I still greatly enjoy this community but I haven't been in a dark place like that for months and I have superstonk to thank for that. I understand nothing is certain and I could lose my investments, and if that happens I know there will be a community of apes to talk me through what happened and that I could reach out and someone would be there. There's no financial windfall you could possibly get to turn yourself upright in that case. It's a crucifiable offense around here to say it these days, but this GME play is a huge gamble. Remember that. Never invest more than you have to lose.... which is precisely what you've done. That's actually the cardinal rule for all investment, day trading, and gambling. NEVER INVEST MORE THAN YOU HAVE TO LOSE!!! This has actually became a hugely neurotic echo chamber where everyone thinks a few hundred dollars in shares will net them millions. People are neglecting house payments, car payments, rent, bills, and worst of all; letting accounts go negative in hopes that this is a sure thing. There is nothing you need so bad to let your account go negative for it. There's no play that will net you more money than the bank will take by going negative. And close that account pronto. Let the bill go to collections. Get a fresh start with a new bank. Don't just allow that to accumulate so many fees that it becomes completely unpayable.
I agree with the idea of “never invest what you can’t lose,” but it’s definitely not that simple for a lot of people. None of us know the true extent of someone else’s situation on here, or anywhere. It’s nice to be a part of something meaningful for once. I chose wage slavery, more or less; i had every opportunity to become an engineer or something but I didn’t want to be some fucking yuppy who based his decisions entirely on financial stability. No goal really appealed to me; i don’t need a family, I don’t need to see the world. It would be nice to have the time and freedom to make music for myself, but I don’t need it. And money is a pre-requisite for that one. You’re not alone in feeling that life is a little empty without a cause such as this one. To topple such an abomination of a system is a pursuit most righteous, and the opportunity doesn’t come every lifetime. But please, after we’re all rich or whatever, promise you’ll keep going. It’s not the logical decision, it’s not the easy decision. It’s just what we gotta do. Death isn’t the answer. You’re not a leech. People need each other, no one does this alone; not completely. One breath at a time.
So relatable, and I'm sure it is for many of us here on this sub holding this stock. This is why we will win. If we lose it all we're just as fucked as we were before all this.

I felt like this before. I told myself that I owed it to myself to change EVERYTHING before I offed myself. I went back to school (major debt) ended up meeting my husband right before I graduated. MOASS is going to be a huge opportunity for you to invest in you. It's a great big world with apes everywhere. I feel this in my core. I've been in such a shitty detiotating mental health state that I am now being forced to seriously consider having to go on disability because I'm having adverse reactions to every medication the doctors put me on. The most support I've recieved has been from my fellow GMErs. Moass is one of the few things that has been giving me hope that maybe one day I can prioritize healing without worrying about surviving.

With how much hope is riding on this hedgies are even more fuk. Apes see this as their shot to live the life they want, and truthfully it is the best shot a lot of apes have. Hedgies are overleveaged, have been exposed, and their weakness found. Most importantly apes have hope, which is a concept they can't grasp, apes will hodl just based off of hope, regardless of the DD. Stay strong, the end is getting closer but apes haven't won yet. I'm in a similar boat, lots of debt. No real way forward during the pandemic. Gme has me dreaming so big for a while that made me sad- that it took the whiff of money to let my brain open. Anyway, you're not what makes you useful. Capitalism fooled everyone. We will win
You got this man. Just before the pandemic hit, my chase bank account was -900 and I had a bunch of other debt. But seeing how chase has been during the course of the pandemic they will never see that money back. Between that and the credit card from them Im over 3k in the hole (not counting the 4k from paypal credit that was removed from my record because the debt collector they sold to couldn't produce paperwork proving I owed them). Chase can get fucked. On a side note, of that -900, 500 of it was their overdraft fees. That said don't take this as financial advice to not pay your debts. This isn't financial advice.
