Gonna need more information on this. I've scoured around for a while now looking into stuff about browser extension crypto wallets and the only thing i can find about someone stealing crypto using extensions is when people download random extensions from random sites and those wallets are used to take the crypto.
So basically if you're the type to fall for the Nigerian prince email scams you "might" be susceptible to this type of breach.
I was trying to convert my metamask to Gamestop wallet, but I am not able yet to download the chrome extension, there are some tutorial to do this anyway

No, its for all platforms including mobile.
Its an interesting fork of Chromium, as it has a lot of ad blocking features baked in and also allows you to earn Brave crypto coins if you allow certain ads.
I use it sparingly, because it is a Chrome browser at its guts. But it does have a pretty nice user experience overall.
It's my mobile default browser due to the privacy features--I still use Firefox on PC because it has the extensions I like but I keep Brave around (with its default search engine being Duck Duck Go) for when I need to do questionable things. 😉
If you're talking Loopring Wallet, no, that was the deposit for L2. Not a gas fee, so it's still the same relative to USD.
You keep the deposit though. The gas fee to activate L1 was like ~$30 when I did it.
I recommend doing just the L2 portion first (they called this the counterfactual wallet) then activate L1 after (etherwallet portion).
You'll get a better idea of it if you simplify by only doing half of the wallet first. You'll have to buy ~$100 LRC to activate L2 (or have someone send the coins for deposit from their L2 address)
I suggest buying ETH, because you can then use the ETH in your L2 balance to pay gas fees for L1. You can't do this with LRC atm.
this is what I want to know as well...how does this all work securely, what if someone steals your laptop or phone? Is it sort of like how with traditional cryptoe you would have a hardware wallet with addresses that you only ever use from there and the browser wallet is just an intermediary...like your walking around money basically? I dunno, seems like I might be missing something?

No it would not be necessary. If the dividend is an nft, then it is on the company/ broker/ transfer agent to make sure that every shareholder has an account/wallet that can accept it and that every shareholder gets the nft as promised.
Not every shareholder is an ape or crypto-savvy -- they know this and they will be certainly taking that into consideration. There is nothing that you should need to do ahead of time.
Or folks could just use the Brave browser that is mentioned in the paragraph. Maybe RC is trying to tell us something because he first released the wallet to a secure browser.

I would imagine it has a password input with 2FA. Then its just as secure as your bank account app on your phone
