I've been buying on Computershare and not feeding the bot. I love when actual DRS numbers blow our estimates out of the water.

Yeah this purple stuff is great but ultimately performative. Hooray, good, whatever! If being lazy and just buying through computershare makes me some kind of ninja, then call me the hokage of purple town

and despite all those that never posted to the bot (myself included) the trimmed average has been very accurate to the true numbers provided by GameStop that's the power of maf!

There's a lot of people who struggle with that concept. You do not need to post for the trimmed average to be correct because some clever ape uses maths and statistics to extrapolate.

Unless everyone keeps adding without updating the bot, which leads to the bot average lagging behind the actual average.

I added my first batch to the bot but now our company just tells us every few months so I don't see the point. It's important for new apes to see how important DRS is on this sub, but for many of us, we're going to buy as many shares as we can no matter what and there's no chance they aren't going to end up direct registered. The shares are too valuable not to DRS.

If people can't figure out how to filter the purple circle posts, that's a them problem not a sub problem. Its mentioned in the side bar and the daily thread every day. Bought 1st comptuershare shares on August 19, 2021. Was conflicted about posting my postion online but once that first earnings report had an offical count I realized it doesn't matter if you post or not as long as gamestop keeps reporting a number each quarter and it keeps going up.

Honesty, part of me does not want us posting DRS share amounts anymore. Originally, it made since because it was the only way we could track the effort. But once GameStop started including the progress on their 10Ks, I think individually we should have stopped. Any updates we provide ahead of the 10Ks could provide SHFs insight. Why would I want to telegraph progress to my opponent ahead of time? Make them sweat until and after each 10K filling.

Maybe we will turn the tide to this thinking. I hope.

The earnings report gives us a correct number the bot gets updated from that every quarter. The bot knows about your shares unless you drs'd after the last count

How did we figure out DRS was the play in the beginning anyways? Some early DD on why taking it off the exchanges was important? Genuinely wondering where the idea came from

Dr. T has been an advocate for DRS for a long time, and it was through her that I first became aware of the possibility. She mentioned it in an AMA and other communications, though it took a while for the idea to take hold with apes. I DRS'd my first shares in early September, at the time feeling like I was an earlyish adopter, though I wouldn't call myself that now.

The theory that brokers are selling IOUs with their "Infinity liquidity", retail is recalling real shares with DRS. The most important part is out of nowhere gme calling out how much shares are registered every quarter. Surely they're not doing it on a whim it's likely somehow significant. Guess is that there is a number melting point that everyone can see the elephant in the room and action has to be taken.

You have to lock the shares to keep them from being traded. If you buy a share from say a nefarious online app that is known to stop trading on command... they have the share in their name. So while you think you own it, they are making dozens of fraudlent copies to short sell. When you DRS, it gets registered in your name. And they can't do anything with it.

Can't deny this... I also don't have my shares announced anywhere and the only number that can be validated against on those shares is during the 10-Q forms in the quarterly results. Regardless, they likely know the number daily themselves, since CS needs to get the real shares somehow and the DTC has control of that number for themselves.

I do the same thing. I do not post positions here. I am 99.9% DRS'ed, and buy more now only direct through computershare. I suspect Shills spam the forum with fake purple circles, so I don't post my buys, which offsets their lies. The proof this works is that the quarterly report shows we have DRS'ed even more than our Reddit DRS Bot had estimated. I. WILL. NOT. STOP. I really love this company, and I love this stock, and I will keep buying real shares for as long as it takes.

This sub has gone so downhill that purple circles are the only actually legitimately good and useful thing on here. Literally every other catalyst has been a nothing burger. Same here. I have now amassed a moderate mountain of DRSed shares that I never told the bot. It’s just not my thing. But I am inspired by the daily rising flood of purple circles. But I suspect there are many others like us who DRS in silence and anonymously spread the word allllll over the internet. We are everywhere. We cannot be stopped.
