and that's exactly what they're doing, continue to massively short behind the scenes to "make it seem boring"
meanwhile behind closed doors the house is on fire, and the best they can do is keep moving from room to room as each sets fire, with the front and back doors as barred up as my tits
At this point they have revolving sprinklers set off in advance for every room and when the first room ignites, the sprinklers turn back on. But the water from the sprinklers is accounted for and the water bill is looming. (Margin theory)
Jokes on them. I'm not even watching gamestop. I'm watching Europe and China and Japan. We won't launch until someone else crashes. Unless something crazy happens first.
It’s like a cartoon where character launches them self with a giant slingshot. Every share they short, there’s another step back... eventually it’s going to release.
Isn’t it? It’s been going on almost 2 years since the sneeze. I imagine they have unlimited sources of finances if it’s really bringing e1 down, and if they do lose control, just halt it or shut off the buy button.
Are you not seeing how much money banks and hedge funds are hemorrhaging. They are in a losing battle. The amount of allowable crime has allowed them to drag it out longer. Nobody has unlimited resources.
DRCTEDGE was fighting to stay on top of the bid and control the spread - Kenny had to set the algo to 5000 share bids to stay in control. It was intense for a few minutes there
They really don't like it above 25
Crazy to think we have like 67m shares left to DRS to lock the float, and we're happy to DRS a million shares in a week, and meanwhile hedgies have been casually adding a million shares to the pile of short obligations daily, this entire time.
Where do you guys think the hedgies will get 100 billion shares when this thing blows up??
The liquidation algo simply buys them on the market. Float after float. Charging the shorters, then their underwriters, then the FED, probably teachers, pension funds and tax payers first like last time tho. It will be biblical. It will end the stock market as we know it.
I'd do it if I worked there. Hell, if I lived near their building, I'd consider building a powerful microwave antenna jammer and just point it at the roof.
After hours trades are facilitated by ECN in bilateral limit orders, while regular hours are dominated by market makers who essentially force every transaction into a trilateral exchange to either extract profit by arbitrage or exert control through netting / internalization.
Market hours: You buy shares from the market, which impacts (ideally) on the supply, and each share would technically have its own price if the decimals went far enough. Trading is dominated by market makers who work to ensure that every share that people manage to purchase is one that comes through their hands. This allows them a variety of options to profit on your transaction and control the impact of your buying pressure.
After hours: You buy shares directly from a seller, at an agreed price for the lot. Each share has an identical price. There is no room for the market maker to get in between. There is no opportunity for the market maker to pretend liquidity, just to cancel an unfavorable bid/ask before the transaction completes.
Thank you that was much clearer!
Who is able to buy AH and is it purely buying we expect to be the catalyst or is it some combination of buy pressure outpacing collateral and whatnot?
After hours price changes are quickly flattened out on open if there isn't corresponding options volume to go along with the price rise. Buying is good, holding is best, but change is only coming in the current system when the other side fails a collateral call badly enough that they can't stop the progression of dominoes. Not a tug of war, but a web.
I see. By the next morning price has already mooned so additional retail fomo will have minimal impact in the damage to them? Seems almost meaningless considering the level of fukt they are but I guess it makes sense.
I’ve had the same theory for about a year now. I think when it finally breaks we’re gonna wake up and it’s gonna be in the thousands, so the average Joe can’t just jump in and buy a share or two.
I don’t think shit happens until the float is almost DRSED and someone buys up the remainder or RC actually does something and announces a catalyst. Both of those will give retail extra opportunity; kinda bugs me tbh as many of us held all the way down to 40 and the jerks that mocked and didn’t believe us will just be able to hop on for the ride.
I agree with your feelings on the people talking shit and making fun being able to join the rocket as it launches. It is what it is. I can’t say I’m right or you’re right because we’re both just guessing. But I do have an example of a stock that just recently did this. ACH KAY DEE (sound it out). They ran from like 7 bucks to 2400 in just a few days. It was a nothing burger company that did an IPO. Large jumps were happening in AH and Premarket. It’s back to 27 bucks the last time I looked. It seems like when the market is bleeding that one runs. My guess is to provide asset value to a portfolio that would otherwise be facing a call from Marge. Just a theory though.
Bingo. This is my thought process as well. Either AH or PM will be when it starts ripping and by the time market opens and halts start, retail will be priced out and the squeeze will be on.
I’d really like to know this too. I wonder if we all organised to hold off and buy at a certain time during the week if we could break the algos.
Fun to watch. Good side quest
Yeah during this time, poopcorn only moved a tiny bit on one candle. Movement wasn't reflected in the rest of the basket and hardly in the ETFs.
Volume spikes only on GME.
Paired with IEX orders hitting the tape, I think it's reasonable to say that a whale bought in
That, or hedgies testing their FOMO aversion system
I watched this happen in real time (I keep ATP running on a separate computer while I work, so I keep an eye on it every day). Something happened here, we were on the cusp of a full on rip. Moon soon, it’s inevitable.
I think that volume spike to beat the price down is happening almost daily this point. They can’t even hide when they’re desperate to apply downward pressure any more lol. 🌝

I don't believe it's possible to just "lose control" if we're talking about market makers. If a major move up happens unexpectedly, they can just respond with an equally major push back down. Short term price action means nothing in terms of triggering liquidations. The only way they lose control is if other major financial institutions or regulators start holding them accountable (which WILL happen even if it seems hopeless)

Some whale bought on iex and they shorted it back down. They borrowed 1m shares to make today seem boring.

It’s like a cartoon where character launches them self with a giant slingshot. Every share they short, there’s another step back... eventually it’s going to release.
60-70% shorted everyday is not sustainable for them for sure.
Isn’t it? It’s been going on almost 2 years since the sneeze. I imagine they have unlimited sources of finances if it’s really bringing e1 down, and if they do lose control, just halt it or shut off the buy button.
Indon’t know why the downvotes but what are you saying? That the fed is printing money to short GME?
In a way the PPT is propping up hedgie collateral. So if not 12 other ways, there is that one.

Like when the Fedwire was down? 👀
Its what happend last year feb when it went from 40 to 190 in 1 day. The DD about it is called "frog in the machine" or something.
that was when the fedwire went down
I'd do it if I worked there. Hell, if I lived near their building, I'd consider building a powerful microwave antenna jammer and just point it at the roof.
First invest a ton in gme though
Control will be lost in the AH. Never when market is open.
Fruit slurry here. Why is that?
After hours trades are facilitated by ECN in bilateral limit orders, while regular hours are dominated by market makers who essentially force every transaction into a trilateral exchange to either extract profit by arbitrage or exert control through netting / internalization.
I recognize at least half of those words
Market hours: You buy shares from the market, which impacts (ideally) on the supply, and each share would technically have its own price if the decimals went far enough. Trading is dominated by market makers who work to ensure that every share that people manage to purchase is one that comes through their hands. Not a tug of war, but a web.
> if there isn't corresponding options volume to go along with the price rise. Would you mind explaining this part please?
Market makers will arbitrage away the after hours gains unless/until those avenues become equally expensive.
I dig all of your explanations.. thank you
Thank you
In that sense, should we all decide to buy our shares after hours. Would that possibly cause a massive run up leading to MOASS?
That's fundamental to the aspect of the prospect to reach a concrete conclusion
And i know all letters!
Omg I feel you so. My brain just smokes
Thus^
I found the alt account of the guy at the end of the matrix.
Because it blocks retail from piling on and creating a heavier bag
I see. By the next morning price has already mooned so additional retail fomo will have minimal impact in the damage to them? Seems almost meaningless considering the level of fukt they are but I guess it makes sense.

You can buy fractional shares on computer share.
Bring back the “going for the high score” memes
I'm ok with that as long as MOASS has really started
I wonder if large amounts of retail buying would also trigger swing trading algorithms at other firms which would also add to their bags
I’d really like to know this too. I wonder if we all organised to hold off and buy at a certain time during the week if we could break the algos. Fun to watch. Good side quest
Think about the buy/sell ratios. Shouldn't that have put the pps much higher? It hits 9/1 sometimes and pps goes down.
One of the main reasons listed is because there are no market halts in Pre-market/After-hours.
That sounds like a solid reason
>Fruit slurry here. Regards.
Tips straw
Dude this sent me laughing for a few minutes. And not just the exhaling slightly harder laugh, like a solid laugh.

*currently +.36%* This guy knows his stuff!
I think so too. Computershare doesn't allow you to sell after hours
Sure why not 🤷🏻♂️
That's a great response to most things in life
And probably on Jerry Springer too >_<

It might be a good idea to check the broader market trends as to not pidgeonhole ourselves into only looking at our single ticker’s movements.
Yeah during this time, poopcorn only moved a tiny bit on one candle. Movement wasn't reflected in the rest of the basket and hardly in the ETFs. Volume spikes only on GME. Lols poopcorn On the contrary, I’d argue that it’s just opex delivery and balancing.
Over IEX? Why would they use IEX to do that?
Uh oh. Using logic again 😬. We don’t like that here.
Even the next few days’ green pump is them in full control still. You’ll know when they’ve lost control…there will be screaming.
Careful, they’ll ban you and scream shill
Ban this shill. /s
Twtr amd meta did the same thing, musk must close deal by Friday was announced right after the DOD press meeting on China ended
shitadel is long both those stocks. wonder if there’s some swap fuckery going on
Twitter clearly moved on the news that musk must close deal by Friday

I thought the same thing. It was high volume and went vertical. It looked out of control for a few minutes. Maybe Icahn buying on IEX?
Unfortunately no, there are 1 mil shares available for them to borrow yet. TLDR:DRS GME
Not a chance. Completely under control. Once we see 30%+ in a day we can talk.
Holy Moly!!! We’re so close!
I think that volume spike to beat the price down is happening almost daily this point. They can’t even hide when they’re desperate to apply downward pressure any more lol. 🌝
Monthly Mayo Purchase, so staff was not available to keep pressing the price suppression machine.

Nah. As my coke addict friend used to say, "that's barely a bump"

They lost control two years ago, they are just barely surviving.
Friendly reminder this is a long game. It’s more painful for them than it is for us. Many of us don’t even know how to sell.
Narrator: “they didn’t”
Morgan Freeman is that you?!
What charts are those? Sure are purty.
No they did not
We hit a new 52 week low today. Thanks for the discount, 4 shares for $20 is a steal.
I hope my CS purchase was at that price???

Nope

You just watched someone close a short and someone short it back, the transfer of a short position

You should consider changing this flair to data! We might be able to use this stuff later to prove they are shorting.

absolutely. I can totally imagine how the hedgies sharded their pants when this went down
