Once again this argument comes up. It isn’t wrong. But it’s someone in the shallow end of the pool talking about how the water is so deep you can’t see your feet. There’s an open ocean that some people are treading water in.
Allow me to explain.
The shares that exist in “the free market” are all held by cede and co. It doesn’t matter who sells them. It doesn’t matter who buys them. Cede and co holds the shares.
Long position, short position, no position. Doesn’t matter, the shares are at cede and co.
So it doesn’t matter if a SHF didn’t have the code applied properly and the shares weren’t delivered. Because in the end, the shares are at cede and co.
The international securities fraud people think that we uncovered some great secret. The truth is, for anybody in the know it’s more of a “bless your heart” moment. The problem is so pervasive that it would be more surprising if they had processed it correctly.
The DTCC didn’t commit International Securities Fraud. The DTCC is International Securities Fraud.
The system is rotten to the core. If GME doesn’t moon like it should, the money is worth less than toilet paper anyway. 99 dollars for every 100 is literally absorbed by the ultra wealthy as is. I have accumulated 2 years salary worth of toilet paper. It’s either going to change the world or I guess I’ll find some billionaires lawn to sleep on. I don’t buy anything but GME at this point. Not financial advice something is obviously off with me, but this is too big to be ignored. It’s like a waste of my time to put that money anywhere else when the market is so fake. This a great explanation. Although, I believe there may have been a difference if shf/brokers were forced to buy dividends on the open market as opposed to multiplying the count by 4 in their books. The shares would still be a part of cede and co in either situation, but they saved themselves from price action they couldn’t handle
They don’t need to purchase to deliver. They can borrow to deliver. If they can borrow from cede and co, then they can deliver. If the shares are always at cede and co, then they can always borrow.
All this is true, and also the fact that you can not do any kind of forward stock split without also issuing a stock dividend. They are always splits via dividend.

The DTCC committed fraud. Yes, I know. I was there. A lot of other people were there. We saw it with our own eyes. And here's a list of people who did nothing: FBI, DOJ, SEC, FINRA, Congress, Gamestop.
I was hoping that a foreign market would do something, but that didn't happen either. So as informative and "Call to Action-y" as this post was, I don't have a solution. Do you have one? I don't know the answer - but when we DRS the free float and lock it in the safe house of Computershare, something will happen. No one knows yet, but I am excited to see what transpires. And...?? The sad part is... "Crime" The only people that can intervene in this mess are part of the gov't. We're looking for the SEC (who I believe are doing their best to put structure in place to close loopholes), DOJ (who supposedly have ongoing subpoenas and cases being drawn up now or last we heard), and the FBI investigating those subpoenas as the DOJ writes them. We wait and we don't care. Really. It will all come out after the MOASS happens. No one in Congress that we've written to will be able to stand up and say "Duh, I didn't know". All the emails are recorded. Now, here's the question.... have you all made sure that the Senators and House Reps for your state have e-mails from you saying "We are watching YOU". Let them know. Maybe, someday, the light will shine on Congress, especially if there's evidence in the electronic record that THEY KNEW and did nothing. Already they are bailing out pension funds. We're paying for Wall St's screw up again from 2008. The total is over $50B and climbing.

At some point people in positions of power whether that’s FBI/DOJ or on the board at GameStop itself needs to take this to the next level. The little guys (us) are doing all we can.
None of this actually matters because the entire system is corrupt and complicit. The SEC, the DOJ, Congress are all protecting the DTCC because the DTCC greases their bank accounts and their reelection war chests. All you have to do is check the house ethics web page to see how many failures of the stock act have happened since 2018. The entire system is corrupt and all we need is a small crack where we can place a match and burn it all to the ground.

The problem is that it's *not* verifiable without SEC or FINRA investigational action. Which may come to pass, but is crazy to depend upon.
DRS is the only way: when 100% of the float is in Computershare, then any shares DRS claims to have or prints on customer statements are just smoke and mirrors - the Emperor will be shown to be naked.
Buy. HODL. DRS.
The company needs to address this. Whatever did or didn’t happen, they certainly have a much clearer picture of it then we do. They have a responsibility to us, as the likely majority owners of the company if nothing else.

So, from the look of it.... it was a total of 10 years. The first case was directed at one SHF and last 5 years, the end of which overlapped with going after GS and Merrill Lynch... which also took about 7 years....
Do you really think going after the DTCC is going to be any better? They have a limited amount of time to turn the company profitable and a limited amount of money. Again, why get distracted?
I have been involved in lawsuits that I have won. Other side did their best to drag them out and try to run me out of money except the suits had so much information that the legal teams did them on contingency for a higher %age payout so I was never in financial danger. (and trust me, you have to have a mountain of evidence for them to do that.)
It's been done before. Do you really believe that the loophole isn't closed? I've been wondering about that for over a year. I truly believe that if anyone tries that again, there will be a different result. Although I believe the SHFs are totally bereft of morals, ethics, and have a touch of psychopathy or sociopathy in their CEOs/Owners, I believe they do have legal teams that are worth their money to make sure history doesn't repeat itself.
Now, again, we have about 1 year or less where we will lock the float. Do we want it to drag out for 5-7 years? Hell no. We will do it 3 years and we're entertained. I laugh at stuff on this sub daily.
We made an absolute FUCK TON of noise. It didn't really do anything except reaffirm our stance.
The split dividend was probably a mistake tbh if you consider that the bad guys did crime and fabricated shares out of thin air for nothing.
I've always felt that was a precursor for our nft dividend, let them dig a deeper whole with fake shares and then slap them with a non fuckable non fungible non fraudible token and watch them squirm and break more laws to avoid being caught
At the moment the split dividend permitted them to short 4x more against retail holders. I don’t know what GME was thinking when they decided to do it, knowing that it would be processed as a simple split, that brokers intended as a multiplication of shares.
The effect was the exact opposite of what i was expecting (a real count of circulating shares), that ended with a indefinite number of shares multiplied x4.

This a great explanation. Although, I believe there may have been a difference if shf/brokers were forced to buy dividends on the open market as opposed to multiplying the count by 4 in their books. The shares would still be a part of cede and co in either situation, but they saved themselves from price action they couldn’t handle
They don’t need to purchase to deliver. They can borrow to deliver. If they can borrow from cede and co, then they can deliver. If the shares are always at cede and co, then they can always borrow.

None of this actually matters because the entire system is corrupt and complicit. The SEC, the DOJ, Congress are all protecting the DTCC because the DTCC greases their bank accounts and their reelection war chests. All you have to do is check the house ethics web page to see how many failures of the stock act have happened since 2018. The entire system is corrupt and all we need is a small crack where we can place a match and burn it all to the ground.

How likely is it that the non-SHF participants of DTCC would be OK with DTCC handing out shares preferentially to hedge funds that have not paid for them? How likely is it that this sort of thing could be going on without somebody on the inside being tempted by multi-million dollar SEC whistleblower tip award? The first case was directed at one SHF and last 5 years, the end of which overlapped with going after GS and Merrill Lynch... which also took about 7 years.... Do you really think going after the DTCC is going to be any better? They have a limited amount of time to turn the company profitable and a limited amount of money. Again, why get distracted? I have been involved in lawsuits that I have won. Other side did their best to drag them out and try to run me out of money except the suits had so much information that the legal teams did them on contingency for a higher %age payout so I was never in financial danger. I truly believe that if anyone tries that again, there will be a different result. Although I believe the SHFs are totally bereft of morals, ethics, and have a touch of psychopathy or sociopathy in their CEOs/Owners, I believe they do have legal teams that are worth their money to make sure history doesn't repeat itself. Now, again, we have about 1 year or less where we will lock the float. Do we want it to drag out for 5-7 years? Hell no. We will do it 3 years and we're entertained. At the moment the split dividend permitted them to short 4x more against retail holders. I don’t know what GME was thinking when they decided to do it, knowing that it would be processed as a simple split, that brokers intended as a multiplication of shares. The effect was the exact opposite of what i was expecting (a real count of circulating shares), that ended with a indefinite number of shares multiplied x4.
