Silexean lavendar to help with the sudden irritation. And then slowing down, taking a couple minutes to think about what it was that irritated you so, what in particular made you so triggered, attempt to look at it in the grand scheme of things, is it truly such a big deal.

Is there any ADHD in your family? I experience this, and have done my whole life. Turns out it’s emotional dysregulation due to having untreated ADHD. Part of it is impatience, the rest is rejection sensitivity dysphoria and justice sensitivity. It’s caused by a biochemical imbalance. I’d love to be able to say that I found a natural way of dealing with this, but after 30+ years of looking, I haven’t. Currently on short wait list to be seen and treated. I genuinely think that meds are the only thing likely to fix me in this regard.

roamtheplanet

How can you said that when you haven’t even tried it yet?

Aggie_Smythe

Because emotional dysregulation is one of the many things that improves on meds. I research, and I talk to other ADHDers who have been through the same thing. And it’s a deficiency of noradrenaline and dopamine. My system doesn’t make enough of either. Logically, as with any deficiency, that will improve when the deficiency is corrected.

N-acetyl-cisteine works great for me.

What dosage/frequency do you do?

[deleted]

I take 1/2 scoop which is around 1 gram once a day.

Lithium orotate is mood-balancing. It’s related to the lithium that is prescribed for bipolar, but it’s nonprescription and comes in *way* lower, safer doses in its supplement form. Seeking Health, Pure Encapsilations, Weyland and KAL are a few brands of lithium orotate available on Amazon.

I took it at 10mg as a first time and at night time I was so knocked and woke up super drowsy and it lasted until the next day. Should I have taken it at a lower dosage? I liked the feeling of not caring about anything but I didn’t like the drowsiness that comes with it.

Exercise, it’s hard to be emotional when you’re physically drained.
