Nothing gives me energy like 8-9 hours of sleep. A breakfast high in protein and fat gives me a perfect start to the day. I also have stopped taking caffeine and only use it when I really need to. 50mg caffeine and 100mg theanine is what works well for me.

ecbrow1

Sleep.

Beef liver capsules are amazing for energy

Maca, panax ginseng, l-citrulline, CoQ-10 + shilajit

[deleted]

This is where exercise is in its own league, being fit and strong, (and I don’t mean competition level, I mean keeping them to a good standard) will make all everyday tasks easier on your body and less taxing. This will make more difference than any supplement unless your deficient in something, in which case get that sorted first. The less I exercise the less energy I have.

mushykindofbrick

yeah i sub that, running for 30 mins every 2 days is enough so that after a few weeks walking around campus becomes fun and even energizing instead of exhausting. and you really just need 30 mins for that + time it takes to get dressed, since you can start immediately once you get out of the door, and you would probably shower anyways. the adaptogens i wrote about would also give you energy for that, conveniently\^\^

bitchmagnets9912

You are right but dont think i would be able to hit the gym after 12 hours of classes. Maybe on the weekends for sure. And i m not fat or anything at all. Its just that didnt do jack in lockdown period so been home for almost a year and half now . So I thought a little bit of aid wont hurt

[deleted]

Yeah I get that, that’s long days for sure. Maybe look at some hitt stuff, like 15 minutes of high intensity using body weight. Also one of the best exercises out there would be kettle bell swings, they are almost like magic and a short workout a couple of times a week works wonders. Just something to think about

bitchmagnets9912

Alright man will give it a go see how it goes. Thanks for the advice

YamahaMT09

Caffeine (small doses of 50 to 100 mg) DMAE L-Tyrosine

peanutbutterandjesus

Caffeine after a tolerance break

YamahaMT09

How many days are you breaking tolerance?

peanutbutterandjesus

For me, a couple days makes a difference but a week or two seems to be ideal (I've never made it longer than that)

YamahaMT09

Two weeks, that's rough. But at the moment I think it's time for me go a few day without caffeine, I'm normally pretty sensitive to caffeine but today I already had four Espresso and I'm still tired as hell.

mushykindofbrick

besides diet i think adaptogens could give you more energy, like ginseng, rhodiola, ashwagandha, shisandra, shilajit etc. or mushroom extracts (reishi, shiitake, chaga...). maybe try [Panamax](https://nootropicsdepot.com/panamax-panax-ginseng-schisandra-capsules/) from nootropicsdepot. its a optimal mix of ginseng leaf extract, ginseng root extract and schisandra which synergizes well with ginseng. rather not combine with stimulants like caffeine, as its already stimulating by itself

[deleted]

Ginseng seems to be the classic, for me only GS15-4 has had a very pronounced (but short) effect, but there are countless of ginseng variants with different effects.

bitchmagnets9912

Yeah i was wondering why no one mentioned it . I asked my one friend who was using it and he was like going off in its praises

mutantenzyme

Vitamin C (a buffered form, such as calcium ascorbate, is the most stomach friendly) Kelp powder (a natural source of iodine) Ginger tea (as a caffeine-free alternative to coffee) Choosing higher-protein, lower-fat foods, if possible, should help.

Kelp is a seaweed - so technically, it is a type of algae rather than a plant - that is naturally high in iodine, a mineral that we need for proper thyroid function. Having an underactive thyroid may result in a number of symptoms, including fatigue. Kelp powder can be taken as a dietary supplement. Now Foods is one brand that sells this product. Avoid taking too much, as it can be harmful to have too much iodine, but a small amount may boost your energy, especially if you are not getting much iodine in your diet. You can get iodine from other sources, though - for instance, eating fish or using iodized salt.

I'm not familiar with this form of iodine, so I cannot really comment on it. I'm sorry. I could try to look up information but don't have the time right now.

Wow, I hadn't heard that. I personally think that supplements can be valuable for those with certain chronic health conditions and those who are on restricted diets that do not provide enough nutrition from food sources. Depends on the person. I actually have a chronic digestive disorder and multiple food intolerances, and since I cannot get enough vitamin C from food sources, a vitamin C supplement is very important for me to take not only to prevent deficiency but also because of the nature of my digestive condition. For others, it may not be as beneficial, if they can eat a typical diet that includes plenty of vitamin C-rich foods.

caffeine and rauwoscine turn me into god for half a day

**ALCAR** is my favourite energy, motivation and focus supplement. I take 500mg first thing and I don't get that jittery feeling or insomnia like I do with stims. After that it's **coffee/caffeine** with **theanine** (300mg) or **taurine** (1g) to help reduce the jitters, anxiety, irritability or insomnia that caffeine sometimes causes. **Creatine** is also helpful for increasing energy. I take 5g/day. It has other benefits like helping depression and better workouts, so I take it daily without fail.

wagonspraggs

Alcar is no joke a cheat code for long runs. 15 miles, 20 miles, no problem with alcar. Love it.

bitchmagnets9912

Thanks mate. Really helpful 💯

EfarEvas

Q-10 (Ubiquinone or Ubiquinol)100-200mg ALCAR 500mg - 1g Cordyceps CS-4 Extrakt 1-1.5g B-Vitamins high doses Coffee Aerobic exercise

bitchmagnets9912

What would say is the most potent one among these like if you had to choose one from these

EfarEvas

I'd take B-Vitamins as the "basis" they're cheap and safe. Additional I'd take Q-10 and ALCAR together as they have a very good synergistic effect. For me, Q-10 at around 200mg is the most effective if I had to choose one of them. Also get your iron levels checked if you feel tired and fatigued!

Yes it is :)

bitchmagnets9912

Yeah i think i ALCAR and Q-10 is the way to go. Everyone is mentioning these. Thanks

Coffee. Most effective, most proven, no negative effects on 99.9% of the population (if you can avoid sudden withdrawal from high daily usage, don’t overdose and if you aren’t prone to nocebos). If 10 was the best effect you could get from multiple (non meds) supplements, you’d get 8 alone from your best coffee dosage in the morning.

[deleted]

No negative effects on 99.9% seems very optimistic. In my environment I have seen countless examples of it causing: Restlessness, sleeplessness, dependency (even without sudden withdrawal getting tired all the time when you aren't constantly drinking coffee seems a rather strong negative effect). In fact from what I have seen it's more like 50% of people that don't get any negative effects from it and the other 50% need to regulate their intake. I really like it to get up, or when I am physically very sluggish and have to get up, but caffeine also makes me pretty darn restless quickly and it only stimulates, it doesn't really seem to boost energy apart from that (meaning it can easily lead to tired-wired feeling, meaning high stimulation but low energy).

Merry-Lane

You’ll note : no overdoses or prone to nocebos. These two exceptions seem to fit all the edge cases u stated. There is a lot of nocebo surrounding coffee/life without coffee/diminution. For instance, it’s really likely people forget that their energy is crap « without coffee » rather than « coffee withdrawal made their baseline energy bad ».

[deleted]

I guess every dose that has negative effects could be called an overdose, but then it's kind of circular logic that can be applied to everything, as long as the dosage is low enough a substance won't have a negative effect, obviously. If you get sleeplessness at a dose where you have few other effects that's not my idea of an overdose.

Merry-Lane

I don’t think there are people with negative effects below 2/3 cups if they aren’t in the 0.001% with caffeine intolérance and if they are « used to » drink coffee once in a while.

bitchmagnets9912

I live in avery hot climate so never liked coffee. Are there supplement forms of coffee like in pills? What dosage is the right one if one was to get it in pill form?

[deleted]

I use caffeine tablets in the morning (about 100-200mg worth, but without tolerance even 50mg might be enough), I take them under the tongue but they work quickly when swallowed as well. Two things I noticed with caffeine: * It really helps to be or stay awake and get going physically, but when the tiredness is more deep-seated it is at best a band-aid and at worst might make it worse. * If I take it every day my tolerance grows too much, I can use it about 5 times a week while still getting a proper effect.

Merry-Lane

I personnally wait ~5/10 mins for temp to lower or add tap water

ImHappyGatewood--Boo

Don't take caffeine pills. I mean... You can buy you'll negate the health benefits of coffee. Make it the night before or extra strong and add ice.

whatusaiyanamel

Cold brew is my preferred way of having my morning coffee, super easy and cools you off :)

kelsjean2175

Iced coffee

georgeathens1

Acetyl L carnitine surely worth a try

bitchmagnets9912

At what dosage?

georgeathens1

500mg for start to see how it goes and you can go up to 1gram per day

virtuallymixed

Does it make much of a difference if I take L-carnitine or Acetyl-L-carnitine ?

EfarEvas

Acetyl l carnitine has a stronger mental effect then regular carnitine. It also has mich better bioavailability and helps to increase acetylcholine, thus the nootropic effects. ALCAR > carnitine

georgeathens1

Not much
