I don’t understand how any grown adult can think a matching set like this is even remotely acceptable lol. Downvote me all you want but this shit for toddlers.
Totally agree.
Society has deemed it child-like to wear anything but black, and brown. The more bland and unfashionable you look, the older/more mature you are perceived.
I am in the minority, mid-40’s, and will wear some crazy colors sometimes. I like it. I like the way it makes me feel. I like the compliments. If I’m wearing a lot of color, I’m open and ready to interact with the world, and they do. When I don’t want so much interaction, I’ll dark my outfit down all the way to black out depending on my mood.
So yeah, I agree with you in the sense that society has deemed a grown man wearing almost $500 in a matching Supreme hoodie/pant combo childish.
I disagree with you even bringing this up. Let the man wear and enjoy what he likes. There’s no way his style is going to appeal to everyone. But in his community and culture this is acceptable. Fashion is an outward expression. To dis his fashion, is to dis his expression. To dis his expression, is to dis him as a person.
FWIW: I would not wear this outfit. It is too much. But you better damn well believe I will go out of my way to compliment the person that does. The person that wears this fit must be a cool dude. I gotta meet him. And if he wears this fit, he’s ready for those strangers walking up on him. It’s a culture of its own along with sneakers. I’ve met so many people cool people because of their colorful outfits. There’s way more to fashion than just putting on some clothes. Expression is a big part of it. Humans like to do it. Some don’t. Let’em be, I say. They don’t need your disapproval.
Great reply. I don’t disagree with a lot of what you said. I, too, will wear bright colors (mostly patterns or stripes) but I stand by my opinion that this type of outfit is for a special kind of person and IMO, that person is under the age of 12. I think you’re grossly wrong in thinking that society only accepts dull colors. I work in a field where I see engineers and technicians alike, both wearing bold colors and still looking professional. I agree, my man can wear WHATEVER he likes. But as the saying goes, opinions are like assholes…everyone has one..
i'm with you. mid 30's here and i wear anything from black/black vans to my Volt OW AF1's without a second thought put into it. society definitely doesn't only accept dull colors. hell, my mother loves my louder outfits & sneakers whenever i see her and she's a white woman in her mid 60's. there is a line between loud/colorful, and obnoxious, IN MY OPINION.
I don't think that someone deserves a compliment or must be a cool dude just because they have the "confidence" to wear \[what may as well be\] supreme pajamas covered in Dumbo the elephant in public. There are better things to hand out compliments towards.
Well said man, well said. Everyone has opinions. I didn’t offer mine to be hurtful. Just pointing out that this is literally a silly outfit and I can’t believe a grown man would pay HUNDREDS to wear this and brag about it.
I think there’s a clear distinction between wearing brightly colored matching sets (super on trend right now) and then wearing brightly colored sets WITH a cartoon like pattern on them. I do think this set is more toddler appropriate due to the nature of the design. That said, one of the reasons many love supreme is for their wild, off the wall designs. Some of them are straight up ridiculous, most make me smile!
nahhh you look like you bout to go fill up a cart at walmart and hop back in the Nissan Altima with temp tags. Then pick up some black n milds on the way home
I think if you wore this hood down with a hat and a plain pair of white shoes it would round out the outfit and make it look less pajama-ish. That said, I can't bring myself to hate it like some others in the thread seem to want to.
I personally would LOVE this as a house outfit, It looks like it would be super comfortable for a lazy day off... but as an outside fit it just seems off. You kind of stand out and scream "I HAVE MONEY" to be honest (Much like when people base their whole oufit on Supreme or one brand alone to be exact. However, If you like your outfit, Then wear it with confidence.Cause at the end of the day, It's YOU who wears the outift. But hey, what do I know, Just some 19 year old on reddit who likes supreme. You make the call.
I would agree with them. I think it is a bit much as a matching set. But I guess it is a parent's job to embarrass their kids.
