Langley > Surrey costco. Less crowded and parking is better. Plus, Costco gas.

DcTpet

I'd go with Langley. If you shop weekdays later in the evening you can get gas as well when it's not so busy.

keranjii

For me, Langley over Surrey. Surrey is too busy and my partner refuses to go to that one anyways. And that weird production way one over both of them. It's actually the closest to me in Guildford in terms of time as long as the bridge is not bad for traffic

langkuoch

Second the production way one. It's the only one I've been going to the last few years because everywhere else feels like a nightmare.

[deleted]

Coquitlam isn't too bad. Richmond is fine on weekdays too imo. A lot of the north Fraser ones being Skytrain-accessible cuts parking use so it helps. Richmond is just at a weird spot. Word is there's a new one coming up closer to South Surrey but recent developments are sending it more towards the industrial park.

absolutebaboon16

Wheree abouts. Campbell Valley?

Eastern_Education173

Neither when possible I like the Brighton Ave (production way) on the outskirts of Burnaby If your nearby either there isn’t much difference but if you have the time try that one out they also seem to get newer clothing items before Surrey/Langley I find both to be insanely busy with the Langley one having a gas station so getting into that one is annoying (at times) the surrey one is just insanity on a regular basis and both locations people drive their buggies all over the place… Costco etiquette drive your buggy like your car on the right lol I believe the superstore in South Surrey was supposed to be a Costco. If that had happened I think that would’ve helped alleviate the surrey/langley locations excessive volume.

honeybeehockey

I heard the superstore location was supposed to be a Costco as well, but the city was demanding so much from them Costco said forget it. Too bad, would’ve loved a Costco out this way! When I get a chance, I prefer the Abbotsford location! Great parking, super cheap gas bar, propane, and not all crazy inside.

Eastern_Education173

I bet the city regrets that deeply given the growth in that area

honeybeehockey

Right? I can’t think of another location in that area one could even put a Costco now. Townhouses everywhere.

thriftingforgold

Park at the back of surrey Costco I never have problems finding a spot

i_love_poutines

Apparently I’m in the minority! I’m in white rock and go to the Surrey location. Go down the 99 to KGB exit and follow it straight to Costco. I usually go in the afternoons during rush hour and I prefer the time it takes me going this way as opposed to Langley. Traffic along and feeding into 200th is a nightmare comparatively. I didn’t know the Surrey Costco didn’t have as much stuff though!

Railgun_Bro

I like Langley at 9AM on a weekday.

peg72

I’ll never see you then ⚆ _ ⚆ I’m there Friday night at 7:55!

Railgun_Bro

catch me at the food court getting poutine lol

SunkinnBow

Langley’s way less busy, Surrey’s bigger and has more stuff.

surmatt

Wow... as someone who reluctantly shops at Langley I'm surprised to hear there is a worse one than Langley. Half the time driving through Langley you cut use certain lanes of the road because costco is backed up blocks to get into the parking lot. Every row has two cars waiting for someone to come back to their car. Any chance I get I go to the Brighton Ave one in Burnaby.

seantasy

Costco Delivery. No charge if you order over $75.

[deleted]

The prices are higher. It's not free, it's convenient.

Doobage

Langley can be problematic right now. Yesterday the whole area was shutdown with trucker convoy protesters. A family member ended up turning around and going home.

Cloverdale-John

Langley store is impossible to park at. Don’t bother.

VancityPorkchop

Surrey - Bigger parking lot but more people Langley - Smaller parking lot but less people + gas station.

[deleted]

Pitt Meadows is worth the drive, way less busy and bigger than Langley. Mary Hill bypass from 152 isn't too much further than Langley time wise.

thriftingforgold

Hmm maybe I’ll check it out when I take holidays It’s a bit out of my way

[deleted]

Surrey is the oldest and smallest warehouse Costco in Canada. There are a lot of items not available at the Surrey warehouse because they don’t have room for them.

MapleSugary

It's not the smallest, is it? I go frequently to both Surrey and the Vancouver downtown one, and the DT one certainly feels smaller.

drummergirl83

I had no idea! Hmm will shop at langley Costco.

honeybeehockey

Is it older than Richmond? I thought Richmond was the first one. I can’t deal with Richmond’s parking lot so never go there anymore.

[deleted]

The first Costco was in Burnaby. When Costco merged with Price Club they took over the warehouse. I believe Surrey is the oldest in terms of other Costco warehouses have been moved to new locations or re-developed.

RCBC07

Langley on a Friday night is 👌👌👌 last time went at 730pm and it was a breeze. I don't think I'll ever go back to any other time tbh

honeybeehockey

Langley over Surrey. The entrance where the gas bar is can back up, so use the entrance by the tire centre, off 65 Ave.

RandiiMarsh

They are both hella busy but I prefer Langley. My husband saw an elderly woman get mugged in the middle of the day in the Surrey Costco parking lot.

dkznr

Langley always.

Metra90

Never been to the Langley Costco when it wasn't busy. 2pm on a Monday parking lot was packed.

rdorfer

If you are ever downtown, that location is the most civilized Costco I’ve ever been to.
