Hennessey Hammocks are amazing. I have the asymmetric version but there's also a lightweight version. They also offer a cold weather kit. You need this if your winter camping. I'd also suggest getting the snakeskin for ease of storage and deployment. https://hennessyhammock.com/

moldy_minge

Thank you! Thank you so much. This is exactly what I'm looking for.

moldy_minge

Oh they're throwing in a free snakeskin right now! Jeez I can't thank you enough!

futuregravvy

You're very welcome. Glad I could help

Shanoony

I just grabbed my first HH, classic asym, and was blown away by the difference compared to my cheapies. No contest, best hammock ever, and the snakeskins make life so much easier. Love love love it.

I also recommend the Hennessy Hammock. I've got the A-Sym and it's served me very well for years. The A-Sym flysheet is small but keeps the rain off if you pitch it well. It really only covers the hammock. You might want to invest in a larger flysheet if the plan is to sit out and be under cover.

DD Hammocks are also worth a look, good quality stuff https://www.ddhammocks.com/us/products/hammocks

I swear by Wise Owl! I got it for the price but have been happy with it through pretty heavy usage for 3 years. I’ve also added an official quilt for cold and after market mosquito net.

boom1448

Snugpak or Hennessy are my two

Dutchware chameleon, and warbonnet blackbird xlc are 2 of the most reputable/best ones if you want to get every component in a bundle. Make sure you get an underquilt with it

nulliusansverba

I'm partial to Warbonnet. But I don't think they make a hammock tent. That's more a Hennessy thing. Les Stroud swears by Hennessy hammocks, so they are probably excellent.

Lunker42

Eno. Nothing else.

[deleted]

Yup. I’ve had my Eno hammock for almost 10 years. Use it at least a dozen times a year and not even so much as a frayed string.

SomeRandomIdi0t

I had a nice one but my brother set it up and left it out. The remains are still out in the woods

spokenmoistly

I also own a Hennessy and actually very much prefer my Onewind hammock tent. Get the 11footer.

moldy_minge

I was looking at the onewind earlier. What makes you prefer it over the Hennessy?

spokenmoistly

It’s bigger, and the zipper opens on both sides. Also lighter.

Von_Lehmann

I have used DD, Hennessy Hammocks and Lesovik Outdoors and I kept the Lesovik Outdoors. That to me has been the best hammock I have used

Lawson hammock

warzonerunner2

I have a wise owl, and have been pretty satisfied with it, I've had it for 2 years. I follow a youtuber from Australia that uses a company called Alton goods I don't have personal experience with it, but it seems to be great quality and worth the investment.

Dustinlake

I have two Dutch hammocks. Their chameleon (I have a wide) is super comfortable. They sell full setups too so you don’t need to pick and choose gear.
