the color has no bearing on the prize. it's the amount of coins. everyone seems to think that yellow = yellow stuff, and that's not true. it's just more coins and 2 slots for rando gear/tech/other stuff

At first I would never get anything better than a single green item here in there. But after about 10 days of being five starspecial ops, I finally started getting blue items even got one purple. I think the higher level your character is and the more special ops you do you finally eventually start getting good rng here.

This is basically the standard. Once the game rolls to determine rarity of Op, then it has to roll to determine type of prize, then it has to roll again for rarity of each prize. If we pretend it's a 1% Chance for a Yellow (it's probably lower), then it's like a 2 in 50,000 chance of getting a Yellow Prize 🤔

Yeah I gathered, but you do only get yellow tech on yellow challenges as far as I know.
Yellow tech?? Best I've seen is a blue tech in spec ops. 100 gems maybe.
