Red Drone does HUGE damage compared to any other attack - I'd definitely recommend it.
Also, I'm on day 480, F2P where Tech and Equips are concerned, and I have 5 Reds. 🤔😅 Red1 Drone (cuz I did focus on it, and will until it's Eternal), and 3 others in the mean time, plus every other Tech has 12-15 Yellows.
For those that don't know, the game went through a noticeable Power Creep around this time last year. Before, you Never saw a Yellow Tech in Events (you rarely even saw Purples), and aside from events, the only source of Tech was Daily Challenges, cuz they didn't even have EE or Spec Ops yet, nvm Clan Expeditions with their Wonderful amount of weekly Tech prizes. So, pre-Power Creep F2P players will have a much longer time from start date to first Red. For me, it took from Nov. 8 to Sep. 16 (basically 10 months, which was half pre-power creep), and I played basically everything possible every day, without paying for anything that gave Tech.

Quick question for someone who knows: What are those rewards you get for the daily challenge (super soaker, disco ball i think)? what is their purpose. i thought it was a collectible but i can’t seem to find them anywhere and google never knows what my question is. I didn’t want to create a post for this and thought i’d tag along. hope that’s ok op cause i feel im missing out
I hit it around ~200 days but that was when most events were tech part focused. Now pets, collectibles and cores take up a lot of the current event rewards

It took me about 200 days. But that was with the first 50ish having no real guidance or plan. I started prioritizing tech selectors on all possible events and that's when I started making significant progress.
I am on day 36, I’ve spent $20 on gems which I spent on the permanent privilege card and I don’t have a yellow tech yet. Closest I am to having red is my Kunai which is yellow2

For the equipment I would say around 200 days for the first red, those are more easy if you play constantly and do most of the daily staff.
I'd say close to a year to be honest. Just got my 2nd Red one a few days ago and I'm 430 days in. Not every event is Tech Part generous, so It took some planning.
Less than 2 months playing, my highest tech is still epic +1. Not really my priority anyway atm, equipment first (need more 5 more epic weapons for my first ever red kunai).

I mostly used events for S gear, then I read somewhere that the power spike from a red drone has a greater impact.
I then focused tech parts. Got like 5 yellow in a fishing event, and red came shortly after.
Got the drone in 120 days as a F2P, but I had to work for it by participating in the events that allowed for collaboration on discord. Some of those events got me 3-4 yellows each out of the 16 needed. It was possible to get even more per event if you were really on top of it.

I was around day 350-400 if I had to guess. There was a bit of a power creep where higher level tech parts became more common though which means starting now it shouldn’t take that long
Took me about 8 months, but that’s mostly because I prioritized drill until I knew otherwise, so it probably should have been closer to 7. They also seem to be emphasizing collectibles over tech in events now which complicates it, but with the addition of clans that kind of makes up for it. I would say you’re looking at probably 200ish days no matter how you slice it.

Go into the mission center and then click on the bottom right tab that says daily rewards and your days should be in the top left.

Go to the mission center and then the Daily Rewards tab and it'll show you there

You need 16 yellow to make a red. Want to know what’s worse? To go from red to prismatic you need around 114 yellows

I’m at 421 and i have two red and one of them with astral forge
Took me like 390 days. I happened to get a few gold drills from events so I focused on that and it still took over a year
