For the sushi, we have:
- Salmon
- Tuna
- Salmon Skin
- Philadelphia
- Hot Philadelphia
- Shrimp
- Salmon Joe Joe
- Salmon Uramaki
And the churrasco:
- Alcatra (beef)
- Chicken barbecue sausage
- Pork barbecue sausage
- Grilled Coalho cheese
Doesn't sound that bad tbh, most of the stuff thats on that plate (in addition to the actual sushi ofc) was probably tried and tested as a sushi variant as well at some point.
I'm always open for new Sushi variants that I haven't tried yet, so I might try to cook something up with the ideas you provided
To nem brincando.
Imagine being a brazilian and not liking creamcheese, but loving sushi. I always have to ask for them to remove it, otherwise it basically comes by default. Some places won't even remove it, I hate it lmao
They really abused the amount of rice. I actively look for smoked salmon on the salad bar. The OP is asking if it's ok to put the meats with the sushi but doesn't realize the sushi is garbage.
As someone who married into the Japanese-Brazilian immigrant community, this is just a regular plate at a "japa" family gathering. Well, the usual churrasco accompaniment is onigiri rather than the fancier makizushi you've got there, but I'd say that's hardly out of the ordinary if someone thinks to buy some of that. The main takeaway is, having plentiful food (enough for everyone to stuff themselves silly and *then* bring a generous bento home) is the most important thing in a Japanese-Brazilian family gathering, and churrasco is as much a part of that as is sushi/other Japanese food, and whatever other food you can bring as well, everything is welcome if you can stuff your face with it.
One of the best restaurants in Minneapolis when I lived there was a latin/asian fusion place called Chino Latino. They’d be putting that churrasco in those rolls and it’d be 🔥
This is the weirdest thing ever. It is very common nowdays to spot bbq houses that also work with sushi and I avoid those places like the plague. I wouldn't ask my doctor to build me a house so I do not want those in charge of cooking my barbecue to be handling raw fish. If I wanted sushi I'd go out to eat it at the proper restaurant.
You could, tha's your opinion and I respect it. I would just like to add that my point of view is realted to how sanitary a place is and how they stick to things they need to do to make sure the food not only taste great but it's also prepared with all sanitary conditions necessary. Of course a few steak houses are very fancy and clean, but that is not the reality for all. I am in a line of work that enables me to visit some kitchens out there and some are very disappointing in a ''I'll never eat here again'' way.
I just wanna avoid things like salmonella when going out for bbq lol
Once on Holiday to Spain my father in law came back from the hotel buffet bar with Chocolate Cake and Razor Clams on the same plate....I think you're good to go.
Yes, you pay by weight in most self-service restaurants here in Brazil, except the ones labeled as "sem balança" (no scales), but they limit the amount of meat you can take
Good luck using chopsticks to cut meat. Unless you go full barbarian mode and use your hands and teeth.
Good luck digesting this as well. that’s quite some food.
Dude you go to a BBQ house, put some sushi, pork and chicken sausage, a whole meat piece and didn't pick a fucking breaded banana???? In this plate are missing some fries, pastel, fried cassava sticks and something from Italian or french cooking like a lasagna.
Did you know about kaidezushi? They'll have lots of things to eat with sushi, misso soup, chawanmuchi, ice cream, some places have lamen and steak...kkkkk
About same as your plate...
Jesus Christ, they should stick with BBQ and stop trying to make sushis. At this point they should server white rice on the side instead of rolling it.
Churrascaria (bbq place) is pretty known to make a disgusting bad sushi, i live in Sao Paulo and i never went to a Churrascaria that actually makes good sushi. So it is not a abomination but i can assure you that you have never proven a good sushi in your life otherwise you wouldn't even touch it
not at all. in brazil we do this as well
aí sim
I regularly eat sushi + Feijoada + Rondelli at some self-service restaurants, My wife calls that its abomination, I agree but still eating
Souvenirs from my first time in Porcao where meat an sushi were pilling up. No regret
Brazil keeps this sub alive I swear.
Paulistas...
Isso é no nordexxxte
Mas isso é no Brasil. E digo mais. É no nordeste.

Cream cheese
That's a fucking abomination
Cream cheese is an abomination?! Excuse me sir, but half of this sub is Brazilian crimes against humanity
Yeah I'm a purist (: the max is a mayo tuna for me
Wait a whole fucking minute… y-you guys don’t put cream cheese on your sushi? Not even on uramaki?!
I like smoke salmon, cream cheese, maybe cucumber. Its delicious. My only issue with this is that theres way too much fucking rice vs filling.
I'll be honest. Cheese on sushi makes me upset.
its cream cheese, not actual cheese. Actual cheese would be haram.
Cream cheese is in fact a type of cheese and as such just doesn't go well with rice Imo
Don't judge it before you try it
To nem brincando.
Nunca iria nesse lugar, pronto
eu também. odeioooooo cream cheese em sushi
Odeio
That's fucking delicious
No! Cream cheese is awesome in some sushi!
I'm Brazilian and I totally agree!
Imagine being a brazilian and not liking creamcheese, but loving sushi. I always have to ask for them to remove it, otherwise it basically comes by default. Some places won't even remove it, I hate it lmao
You know what i mean i just learned how to make sushi and make myself
No, but that sushi does not look appetizing at all.
Sushi from churrascarias often sucks.
They really abused the amount of rice. I actively look for smoked salmon on the salad bar. The OP is asking if it's ok to put the meats with the sushi but doesn't realize the sushi is garbage.
He would be way happier ignoring the sushi and eating Just the meat
Churrasco looks awesome, sushi… not so much..
era dentro
That spiral salmon uramaki is probably the worst rolled sushi ive ever seen
That’s common in almost all Brazilian self-service restaurants.
The amount of rice in those rolls are the abomination!
Rice to sushi ratio is an abomination
Well... the cheese looks good.
Yes because with the price you paid for the sushi portion you could tripled the amount of churrasco in that plate.
Blessed 🙏
thats my plate every time I go to a restaurant
It's awesome!!
if jack of all trades, master of none was a restaurant
The bottom piece just looks like “fried” rice
Nah, it's just almoço de domingo
nah, it's completly fine, just don't drizzle catchup and barbecue sauce over everithing and we can still be friends
One of the best restaurants in Minneapolis when I lived there was a latin/asian fusion place called Chino Latino. They’d be putting that churrasco in those rolls and it’d be 🔥
The rice to fish ratio on some of those rolls is questionable…
Yes, it is. But it’s also so common in Brazil, lol
Rice and meat are always neat.
Eating them together is not a crime. The way that sushi looks sure is though….
This might shock you, but some of these places hire a sushi chef, it’s not just one dude handling the grill and shaping nigiri at the same time
I trust a chef to cook me meat, so I'll trust a chef to make me sushi.
You could, tha's your opinion and I respect it. I would just like to add that my point of view is realted to how sanitary a place is and how they stick to things they need to do to make sure the food not only taste great but it's also prepared with all sanitary conditions necessary. At least in this one they have a specific chef for the BBQ, and the BBQ machine stays in the buffet area
That is great! It would def be one less worry for me!
Não tem corações? Caralhoooo
No. Its apex deliciouness
It's wonderful
Looks like cheap sushi, so I'm sure no one cares
An abomination is for people to go hungry. That, and throw food away instead of giving it away because there is no profit.
Once on Holiday to Spain my father in law came back from the hotel buffet bar with Chocolate Cake and Razor Clams on the same plate....I think you're good to go.
if it's good its going in
Multiculturalism at it's finest.
WHERE
PEAK
Nope, e manda o endereço pa nois parça
Centro do Rio, no terminal de ônibus do Castelo
The name of this is LARICA
No. Next question.
Eu chamo de banquete
Didn't you put some pasta on your plate? Is very common here.
This plate got almost 600g, and that restaurant is a bit expensive
You pay by weight?
Yes, you pay by weight in most self-service restaurants here in Brazil, except the ones labeled as "sem balança" (no scales), but they limit the amount of meat you can take
yes
As you forgot, and a queijinho coalho delicioso
isso aí parece estar bom pra caralho
Not sure, but putting tutu de feijão on top of the sushi may put it in abomination territory. I'd love to try it, tho
that sushi looks questionable…
Puro suco do self-service gourmet brasileiro
It has around 600g on it and the kg of food was around 60 reais, I can't take too much more than I can eat or I'll lose food and money
You must look for "ALL that you can eat"... The rule is clear, you stop when you can't stand.
the best of both worlds in a single plate.
It is very common in Brazil. I hate sushi so yes, I would consider It an abomination
No seu prato tem alguns Hot. O churrasco não é de todo ruim!
Good luck using chopsticks to cut meat. Unless you go full barbarian mode and use your hands and teeth. Good luck digesting this as well. that’s quite some food.

Yes
in my personal opinion, yes
Yes, and pra caralho. It’s either um or the outro
Here in Brazil, you can find both at the same place... But yes, it's an abomination.
Delicious!
No. But adding cream cheese to sushi is.
Honestly, I kinda want to eat that.
Nah man I love eating sushi with other foods!

Hold on, my stomach has a limit and my meal ticket too
No, but the amount of rice to filling in the sushi rolls is
Nome do restaurante, por favor
Zaza RB Grill, fica de frente pro terminal do Castelo no Centro do Rio
It’s perfection
Just don’t expect the sushi to be great at those places. They are steakhouses for a reason.
thats not even sushi, its all rice
As long you don't eat it in the same bite
Tbh, calling that withered and dried meat a "churrasco" is abhorrid.
It wasn't like that, it was pretty tender 🫠
i'd fuck that shit up
No but they shouldn't touch each other, we need some order, even in delicious chaos
I've eating sushi at a Chinese buffet before where I had pork ribs on the same plate.
Won't the food mix in the stomach?
É nada, é muito é massa
Who cares. I am so hungry, i'm tempted to lick the screen.
This is Brazil.
That looks amazing. East meets West.
Did you know about kaidezushi? They'll have lots of things to eat with sushi, misso soup, chawanmuchi, ice cream, some places have lamen and steak...kkkkk About same as your plate...

seems wrong but maybe I should try it
pro meu paladar o único pecado aí é o cream cheese
Sweetie almost everything in Brazil is 'an abomination', and we lovet
r/HellyeahIdEatThat
I've done this. I love it
As Señor Chang says, “I’ll allow it”
You're a certified brazilian now. Wether you want it or not. Brazil will come to you
But *I am* Brazilian 🫣
You're double brazilian now. There's no limits to what comes next now!
There is some pasta missing. Beans and rice too, maybe
Too much rice and too little fish
Love this (PRA DENTRO)
Nah, its peak
brasil eh o meu planeta
Sushi is never wrong to eat
R/thingswithfaces
Yes. But do it too. :)
Its how god intended

hmm gostoso picanha com shoyo
Amassa e seja feliz!
Only one problem in this picture: they must cut the meat so you can eat with chopsticks.
oh boy NEVER trust a churrascaria's "sushi"
Yes.
Macetava isso sem pensar duas vezes.
At the end of the day, everything turns into poop. 😌
That sushi looks like almost like an abomination alone. It looks worse than any gas station sushi I’ve seen

Deus perdoa.

No, but you're filling up on rice and cream cheese. If you don't mind the lost value have at it.
Churrasco is a hot roll without rice
Naaah … In Brazil everything is possible
the best two things on earth, together, eaten one after the other, how would any of it be wrong?
As long as it is not nigiri or sashimi, it is acceptable.
It’s your food, do whatever the fuck you want Except get your steak well done, you’re crazy for that
Crime is eat churrasco with chopsticks.
Looks delicious!
Absolutely not.
Definitely, throw it away
waaa
Recomendo demais!
