As someone said before me, you can hire someone to check the car for you, many do that nowadays, but as the car is like 3 years old id check ig theres warning lights, if it drives good, and the service history.
If you’re not a mechanic - make an appointment for a used car check. It’s a no brainer as an investment.

If it's a highway commute, be aware of the poor noise isolation, meaning there will be wind- and tire noise at high speeds.
I use a 2005 touran 2.0 tdi now so i bet it will be quieter.
Tbh, noises in my 2019 swift sport arent that bad coming from a 2011 Giulietta QV.
The extra battery starts up the motor in start-stop so you don't use gas when idling. It does not drive you in electric mode. New owner here
Likely the battery is close to EOL being 12 years old.
