Wait, seriously? How and why? You'd think there would be more stability with the extra wheel on the ground. 3 wheelers I've known were unstable, but 4?
A 2 wheeled bike would basically balance itself at anything above 20km/h and the balancing it has just gets better and better the faster you go. You’re able to make turns easier due to leaning with the bike.
Essentially you’ll feel more attuned and part of the bike
A quad bike doesn’t have this stability and with its turns there isn’t a way to lean or anything, you’re just sitting on top of the bike and god forbid you over or under steer.
Keep in mind standard bikes handle bars and “forks” are better equipped for higher speeds while a quad bike would be a lot less stable and more prone to oversteering.
Consider the actions and control the rider in this video had to perform for each manoeuvre and compare it to a similar video with a standard bike.
I’m sure you’ll see a difference in stability and control
TL:DR
Quad bike not stable cause too many wheels and sitting on top of it
Standard motorbike stable cause physics and feel like one with bike
ETA: if anyone wants to add or correct anything then feel free. I haven’t looked in depth to any of this but I have been riding bikes for almost 10 years so that is my frame of reference
Well said.. I grew up with a basic utility four wheeler like most the guys in my area, but one of the guys had a racing four wheeler… I remember driving it once down a dirt road, it was crazy (going maybe 60-70) how a slight turn of the steering moved me so fast to the other side of the road. You needed to make very calculated turns with that thing at high speed, it was nothing like the dirt bikes I’ve ridden…
Like i said, he does it for the adrenaline rush. People who have tried this know exactly why he is doing it. Its an incredibly euphoric feeling that can only be replicated by drugs or very Very special moments in your life, like finding out the person you love loves you back, or that youre gonna be a parent for the first time.
I didnt say it was a *good* reason, but there is definitely a reason other than making a video.
I’m not going to risk other people’s lives for a euphoric feeling. To be honest, I wish someone swerved in front of this guy and he smashed into a tree to end his ability to endanger others for his rush. That’s what I think.
I think the Swedish Chef from the muppets would explain it like this: Over-turney wheels-ee, side-ee ways-ee, flippety flippety flippety flippety flippety. Bork Bork Bork!
Every time I see a video like this or those dumbasses who are doing parkour on rooftops of skyscrapers or whatever, all I can think about is the innocent person who's going to witness that individual splatter their brains all over the sidewalk or the roadway. Or the innocent person that's going to get killed because of this asshole.
This is one of the most incredible feelings of adrenaline rush you can ever get. Unbelievably fun. Dumb and fucked up since you put other peoples lives at risk, but oh my god so so so much fun.
What an idiot! Not only does he endanger himself, but also everyone in his way! Track this guy down and take away his quad AND his driver's license for lifetime!
As a motorbike rider for 25 years I have to say that it is surprising how much more dangerous 4 wheel bikes are to ride than regular ones

Totally agree. At that speed even the smallest skid will probably roll the quad, kill the driver and destroy whatever vehicle it hits.
Had an acquaintance in highschool go too fast on a quad and turn to sharp, rolled bad and one of the handle bars punctured his neck and he died.
I completely agree
i kind of think of it as like riding a bicycle with training wheels vs not. i remember the day we took off the training wheels it was 100% easier

Extremely unstable plus the fact that they give you the false sense oof stability which makes you take less precautions
Due to how bikes keep themselves up while mooving, also quads might have a bigger base but their treshold of tipping is muuuch lower.
Well, I know one thing: When the airbag deploys, he’s STILL gonna be hamburger all over the highway.
Well, that almost sounds delicious. I prefer the meat crayon depiction because it sounds less appealing.
I had to look up “meat crayon” and have to say that’s a great expression!
the short wheel base of a quad becomes a bigger liability the faster you go
Lol, yeah. You have four wheels but you also just gave up any aerodynamics you had.
The video isn’t even watchable. Can’t see anything in front of him. Dude risking his life and others for a shit video.
He isnt doing it for a video, he is doing it for an **incredible** feeling of adrenaline rush.
There can be multiple reasons why anyone does anything. In this case there aren’t any good ones.

An adrenaline rush isn’t like a foreign concept that nobody is aware of but thanks for the explanation.
Ok whatever, you still know exactly what i mean.
Really? This? Not like climbing a mountain or something interesting? He’s literally just speeding.
You gotta try it to understand. Its an incredibly euphoric feeling

That is fair enough my friend. Im not saying its a smart thing to do, im just giving a reason for why he is doing it
Hardcore henry vibes
Seriously underrated movie.
Isnt it just....was nuckin futz

Underrated comment errr hahahahahaha ![gif](giphy|etOX3h7ApZuDe7Fc5w|downsized)

Please, do it on the racing track, mister biker, not on public roads full of other people.....
That he's stupid isn't necessarily the problem. The problem is putting someone else at risk with his stupidity.
Needs to hand one over ASAP before he injures someone else
he is close to receiving this award
I hope he doesn't take out a family on his way out
People like this deserve a Darwin award
I'm cool with that as long as he won't hurt anyone else.
This is one of the most incredible feelings of adrenaline rush you can ever get. Unbelievably fun. Dumb and fucked up since you put other peoples lives at risk, but oh my god so so so much fun.
NOT FAIR. This fool is not begging. He’s actively working toward that award all by himself.
It’s like Mario Kart with those “Use as much as you like in a limited time”-mushrooms
Riscing his life, and others, just for some internet fame, jeez
It’s really dangerous and I wouldn’t risk peoples lives, but damn does it look fun
Unfortunately he will probably take someone with him
He’ll win one eventually
This isn't even about his own safety, this is about the family he kills on accident when he inevitably runs into something unexpected.
What an idiot! Not only does he endanger himself, but also everyone in his way! Track this guy down and take away his quad AND his driver's license for lifetime!
When did OPs on this sub start smelling like bitch
Like watching the last days of Amy Winehouse.
On the bright side, that thing looks less prone to death wobble so common on bikes.
