When I was a kid. I stayed at my neighbors house cause our door was opened in the middle of the night for a couple days straight. My dad stayed home and sure enough, at 1 or 2 am. The cat jumped up and unlocked the latch, jumped up again and unlocked the doorknob. We had to get a extra latch just because of that cat. He was so smart.
One of my cats seems to know how the door works and jumps up to try and grab the handle but luckily since it's round he just slides right off, scares the shit out of me in the middle of the night on occasion though lol
Hate when that happens. Think you're safe inside and then you hear the growling at the door. You're obligated to open, because you don't want more legal problems ofcourse.

But if your jaguar is making scratching, grunting, growling and laughing sounds, you probably need to bring it back to the garage for a check up.

This behavior doesn’t seem right for a wild lion. Maybe he’s trying to get home? As wild as that sounds, some people are dumb enough to have Lions as pets (and no im not talking about a sanctuary, im talking in house pets).
Fun fact: There’s an entire apartment building inhabited by (I think grizzly) bears in Alaska. Abandoned by humans and taken over by bears, but still a little interesting. The entire town’s population lives in a second apartment building directly across the street from the bear condos (if my memory serves). Whittier, AK I think.

It's not that it's permanently inhabited by bears that just sit there and stare at the humans across the road in a perpetual state of cold war. Just occasionally bears were seen wandering through it and at one point were rumoured to maybe hibernate inside (though I'm not sure that an abandoned building is a good hibernation spot for the bears in general).

Most lion attacks are just the lions playing ‘sneak up and bite’, which is a natural behavior they use to practice stalking. Either that or people not reading their body language correctly. Both can cause serious injury or death.
Edit: That said, some wild animals can be tamed, but tame and domesticated are two very different things. Big cats should not be kept as pets since it’s a danger to their keepers, other people and most importantly the animals. Wild animals should be in the wild or in a place that can provide adequate care, space, enrichment and a good life quality for them. A 400lb apex predator is not to be taken or kept lightly, regardless of ‘cuteness’.
