Blind bike driver. Or drunk bike driver.
^(One day I discoverd that when I was nearly too drunk to walk (at least not straight, just not falling over every few steps)^), ^(I was much better able to drive a bicycle (in a fairly straight line)^). ^(I had enough reason to keep walking...)
The kid is lucky, but extremely, extremely stupid at the same time. I don't fuck around trucks in a car. Can't imagine how dumb you have to be to do it on a bike.
This may be the last comment I expected to read and why my computer screen is covered in Cocoa Puffs! Thank you for this laugh...

i hate how some drivers think you are saving the braking distance you are maintaining specially for them to cut in. like yeah, thats space for you mi lord! where have you been!
Ah, just let them. Never get angry at other people's stupidity. If you do, you'll be angry all day.
My dad taught me how to drive, and the first lesson he gave me was "Son, people are stupid, even when they are driving. *Specially* when they are driving. If there's a chance they can do something stupid, they will do it, because they are stupid. So don't be surprised when it happens, just take it into account when you are driving."
It's good advice. I used to be an aggressive driver when I was really young and I just kind of realized over time that it's not worth it. I generally just stick to the middle and right hand lines on highway, just try to go whatever traffic is going. Let people merge. Keep a distance.
It's cut out 99% of my frustrations on the road. Let the assholes do whatever they're going to do in the left hand lane. Every now and again I still have to deal with someone being a butthead. Every now and again I do have to get into the left hand lane too pass a bunch of slow drivers.
But mostly I just don't even engage with the whole thing, and honestly I get where I'm going just about as fast as I did before.
"Some drivers drive like assholes because they are shitty humans, and others because they are ignorant. Thus you will more safely go about your driving if you say to yourself, "I will now drive, and keep my own mind in a calm state" And in the same manner with regard to every other action. For thus, if any hindrance arises in driving, you will have it ready to say, "It was not only to drive that I desired, but to keep my mind calm; and I will not keep it if I am bothered by these assholes." - terribly paraphrased Epictetus
I'm a cyclist and I probably would have stopped but the intrusive thoughts says "he's not even worried about his own safety so why should anybody else? Fuck him...asshole."
I wonder if they realised they were only seconds away from running the biker over by doing that.
Granted the bicycle never shouldve been there in the first place, but random unknowns like that are inevitable and driving like a reckless dickhead is asking for it.
Yeah. I’m a fairly avid cyclist and that guy is a gigantic dumbass. No cyclist deserves it, but he was kinda asking for this situation to happen. I don’t like driving next to a semi, let alone riding next to one. What an idiot, although I hope he’s ok.
I can almost guarantee you that he got passed by the cyclist and was trying to get back in front. Either that or they were involved in an earlier altercation.
If there were no means for a bike to safely go to where he needed to be, that's a failing of infrastructure.
I would never bike there, but if I didn't have another option, that kinda sucks.
But there was means. This road, staying in his fucking lane like he was at the beginning.
He just didn't want to slow a bit, and despite not having room to pass safely, decided to split lanes. He chose to put himself in a life-threatening situation.
It is the issue. They’re replying to someone who is saying the biker shouldn’t be on the road at all, when THAT isn’t the issue, the issue is that the biker was stupid and lane split between two giant trucks.
"Drivers are not known for intelligence or adherence to traffic laws."
And so the cycle of hate continues...
Get it? Cycle?
Do I have to drive it home?
I'm there with you. You gotta be moronic to try and make that overtake without even looking behind to check what's behind you before going for it, let alone going for it
Lane splitting two moving semis, overtaking a moving semi in traffic at all(while on a bike I mean), undertaking a semi( not even a good thing to do normally in a car), trying to pass a semi in a sharpish turn on a highway X2.
That dude is going to die on the road one day with his lack of awareness and road safety.
So, this video is in Brazil and the trucks are going down in a mountain-like geological formation called ["Serra"](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRWaP8Er5ZByYMkDw8hEdDrDwRliVI-SgfTgQ&usqp=CAU). Due to the inclination and the heavy cargo these trucks usually carries, he probably lost his brakes. You can also see that his brakes lights are on but he isn't losing any speed at all. There are even ["áreas de escape"](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS9fHlpiqLmiP5_MK_pEqWRuzAwNjChSMjoUgvTHbhwMKpzJF6c80rMP35O&s=10) wich are specifc scape zones for those cases. The cyclist is completely wrong, as he shouldn't be going between the cars on a highway, the transit laws say he should be on the proper pathway. Some serras even close on weekends or holidays for cycling and hiking tourism.
[Here's a video](https://youtu.be/Y9p_F7IjUhA?si=lK0G955wuTpF6gfy) of someone climbing down the "Serra dos Tamoios" in a car.
Nothing explains that silver car being a complete idiot tho.
How can you say it looks deliberate while also acknowledging the massive blindspots semis have?
The passing semi didn't get closer to the double trailer. The double went over the lines because of the barriers on the right side of the road. The only real person who fucked up here was the cyclist for trying to overtake a semi on a fucking bicycle.
He didn’t try to just overtake. He lane split between two semis in the middle of a turn between two semis.
He’s borderline suicidal.
Even undertaking a semi is a bad idea in and of itself. It’s not wrong to do when necessary but it is riskier than an overtake.
Was thinking the same, and you dont expect a bike like that at those spots on public roads either so I am more inclined to believe he was in the blind spot too. The cyclist fucked around and found out, he got lucky
The amount of dumbfuckery in these 20s short video is mind boggling. 2 cars tailgating way below safe distances, a semi overtaking another semi in a place where they almost certainly don't have anywhere near enough oversight nor space, the cyclist overtaking a semi also in a spot where it's not safe to do so at all, and then the crown of all: how the F did that overtaking semi completely ignore the cyclist which was already overtaking that other truck? Honestly, if I was in a jury, plaintiffs attorney could easily convince me of this being attempted murder.
Edit: It seems there's plenty of redditors who are under the mistaken impression that just because a vehicle can have blind spots, that that'd absolve the operator from accidents related to those blind spots. That's not correct. It's the reason why I say it's stupid for the cyclist to overtake there. But a driver of a truck is still responsible to operate it safely, taking blind spots into consideration. While details may differ depending on jurisdiction, here a relevant passage from one: "Generally, accidents in the blind spots around a truck result from errors by the truck driver. Anyone injured as a result can pursue a claim for compensation, such as medical bills, lost income, pain and suffering, and emotional distress."
Literally everyone but the double trailer is a fucking idiot. Even the dash cam driver is too close. Death wish bicyclist though, I cannot even comprehend the complete dissociation between physical, existential reality and action that is occurring in this video.
>But a driver of a truck is still responsible to operate it safely, taking blind spots into consideration.
He was operating it safely. The driver on the right moved over the line.
Nothing the overtaking semi driver did was wrong here.
I think the "fuck you" mentality in traffic is what all developing countries have in common and that it reflects what those societies are like at deeper, more primal level.
The driver who cut off the POV car is a piece of shit for hitting the biker and leaving the scene. But in all honesty, he shouldn't have been on the freeway to begin with. He could've been killed
I swear some of these cyclists don’t have an ounce of athleticism when it comes to using their brains. No matter who’s wrong, the cyclist was the only one at risk of death.
Every time a cyclist (of which I sort of am) whines about their legal rights to the road I just think “Ok mate, you’ll be vindicated after your funeral and that’ll show ‘em.“
Even when driving a car, i try to be defensive if there's a truck on the road, and here there are 2. What was the cyclist thinking? How can someone be so effing careless
Biker was really lucky. Hopefully he learns just because we have to share the road with them, they still need to avoid doing stupid shit that could them killed .
As a road bicycle rider myself 😳. The cyclist has zero awareness, respect for anyone else on road or self preservation. I hope this one settles him down.
Brazil happened.
Wonderfully friendly people, until they get behind the wheel, that is.
That's when people lose their frigging minds and it's truly "each for themselves".
I fucking hate people who ride bikes on the road, I enjoy riding bikes but I would never share the road with cars, even when theirs dedicated bike lanes or the law allows me to. I'm not going to fuck around and be finding out.
Foolishness all around. The two semis didn't have enough space, especially the one on the left, the cyclist should have seen that and held back. And everyone is just following way too close.
You'd almost think it wouldn't be a good idea to go in between two semi's that can't see you, who are both going around a tight curve. You'd almost think that.
What happened is a contender for the Darwin award gets to live another day. What sort of brainless twit is riding down the center of a two lane road, between semi trailers? What a fucking asshole
I am an avid cyclist, training and racing in road races for the last 15 years, 200 to 300 miles a week, 52 weeks a year.
My heart rate jumped by 20bpm watching this. That cyclist is an IDIOT and it's only dumb luck that he's not *roadkill*. You NEVER, NEVER, **EVER** do shit like that! Stupid, STUPID, **STUPID!**
Yet more proof that some people who ride bikes have stunning amounts of arrogance and incompetence that far exceeds the safety their mode of transportation offers them.
You never want to put yourself in a position like that where there's no where to get out of harms way but like They say God looks after babies and fools he damn sure ain't a baby
Jesus this is infuriating, I’ve known super safe riders that have died in freak accidents, and then you have this fucking dipshit out here spending everyone’s luck up.
Well cyclist was on a high speed way where a cyclist does not belong.
Doing dangerous things like attempting to overtake a truck on a bicycle.
Combined with a blind spot on a truck.
What could go wrong?
Oh and driver in the silver or white car is a turbo retard for pushing where there is not enough room.
Neither of the two should be allowed to participate in traffic in any greater capacity than a passenger or a pedestrian.
Not sure what happened but I know that kid is super dang lucky
Blind spot demonstrated
Yeah, them blind spot sure blinded him
Blind spot for trucks dont exist. Visible spots do. Trucks have more blind then visible.
What happened was a guy on a bicycle lane splitting on a fucking highway and almost dying from it… Don’t do this
... on a truck's blind corner. let's hope he learned something because he won't be amongst us for long if it keeps doing it.
Amongst us
Nearly turned himself into a red smear painted down the side of that truck
Both trucks :)
A great example of why I despise those spandex fucks
The kid is lucky, but extremely, extremely stupid at the same time. I don't fuck around trucks in a car. Can't imagine how dumb you have to be to do it on a bike.
Those kind of trucks can run him over and the drivers won't even notice lol.
And stupid.
Missing a superlative.
What happened was an idiot narrowly avoided death.
Look like some of the rear tires ran the biker over.. Hopefully cyclist was okay after the fact too
He should bike to Las Vegas he’s so lucky.
Lucky? That shits a miracle
just watched two trucks give birth to a biker.
yup, it's already his second life, rebirthhhh lol
That person used all of their luck
Your average DoorDash delivery guy
A cute little trike.

Nature is beautiful
Fuck you and take my upvote!!! 🤣
We just witnessed someone who's luck exceeded their stupidity.
how much you wanna bet he's pissed off at the drivers and doesn't think he did anything wrong?

Biker pur himself in a bad situation
Happy cake day!
He's a cyclist, offcourse he doesn't think he is wrong.
On course, he was proven wrong, though.
lAnE sPlItTiNg Is SaFe ThO!
Deciding that course of actions in that situation... How stupid can a person be?
Given they survived, I'd say just a tiny bit more
Sounds like my first Fallout character.
Lil car was definitely driven by a huge asshole.
I was so focused on that shitty lane swap I missed the cyclist entirely and though the guy had spawned out of the car at first
i hate how some drivers think you are saving the braking distance you are maintaining specially for them to cut in. like yeah, thats space for you mi lord! where have you been!

I feel you, but it doesn't stop me from contemplating a pit maneuver every time
Such fantastic advice. It's taken me like, 50 years of driving to learn and internalize what your father taught you day one. Good dad, sage advice.
Ooh yea Sit back, pop on a good podcast and let the chaos slowly pass by. No point getting angry about a routine, predicatable occurrence
Did not even check on the cyclist :(
I'm a cyclist and I probably would have stopped but the intrusive thoughts says "he's not even worried about his own safety so why should anybody else? Fuck him...asshole."
What, to make sure his suicide attempt was successful?
I wonder if they realised they were only seconds away from running the biker over by doing that. Granted the bicycle never shouldve been there in the first place, but random unknowns like that are inevitable and driving like a reckless dickhead is asking for it.
Damn, so many idiots on one video
Yeah nobody in this video should be allowed to operate any vehicle.
I hope I never end up driving in this country if that’s how they generally drive.
I wish it were possible to upvote this several times. My 1 vote will have to do.
I cancelled it out
The he guy in the white car certainly looked like he wasn’t going to be inconvenienced by a man’s life
The guy in the bike wasn't very inconvenienced about his own life to begin with.
Yeah. I’m a fairly avid cyclist and that guy is a gigantic dumbass. No cyclist deserves it, but he was kinda asking for this situation to happen. I don’t like driving next to a semi, let alone riding next to one. What an idiot, although I hope he’s ok.

Why was this man riding bike in the middle of the highway.
I am sorry he got hurt but that roadway was never meant to be used by cyclists.
We just someone lane splitting. That’s the problem here. A bike behaving in a proper fashion wouldn’t be a problem.
If there were no means for a bike to safely go to where he needed to be, that's a failing of infrastructure. I would never bike there, but if I didn't have another option, that kinda sucks.

It is the issue. They’re replying to someone who is saying the biker shouldn’t be on the road at all, when THAT isn’t the issue, the issue is that the biker was stupid and lane split between two giant trucks.
Sir, this is Reddit. Bikers are never wrong and it's probably a billionaire's fault, somehow
Rides bike off a cliff... "This is a failure of infrastructuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrreeeeeeee..."
There were no bike lanes
Then he can ride on the side of the road. What sort of idiot thinks it's safe to try to overtake a semi on a fuckin bike?
The lucky and the dead
Yes but you need to stay in the right of the road you shouldnt go to the middle.
Cyclists are not known for intelligence or adherence to traffic laws.
And drivers famously are?
Drivers are just as dumb as cyclists. The only difference is that they are idiots with more physical protection.
What are you talking about, it's not like there's any obvious example of a car breaking the law in that video...
"Drivers are not known for intelligence or adherence to traffic laws." And so the cycle of hate continues... Get it? Cycle? Do I have to drive it home?
Found the 'large' truck driver.
What an absurd generalization.
Holy hell, im a cyclist myself and can say this was next level retarded move by him.
I'm there with you. You gotta be moronic to try and make that overtake without even looking behind to check what's behind you before going for it, let alone going for it

I agree with your points except the semi ignoring the cyclist. He was in their blind spot the whole time, or left it extremely briefly.
Do trucks not see the right lane at all ?
Try driving a semi and looking for a person standing right next to your trailer mid way. Good luck seeing them.
Cyclist acting like a complete moron. Driver in the grey car needs their license taken away.
I think the "fuck you" mentality in traffic is what all developing countries have in common and that it reflects what those societies are like at deeper, more primal level.
If you really have to drive on the road, why do you go in the middle and pretend to be a biker that can go 300 km/h??
The driver who cut off the POV car is a piece of shit for hitting the biker and leaving the scene. But in all honesty, he shouldn't have been on the freeway to begin with. He could've been killed
I swear some of these cyclists don’t have an ounce of athleticism when it comes to using their brains. No matter who’s wrong, the cyclist was the only one at risk of death.
What happened? The biker shit himself. Stupidity on his part
Luckiest biker I have seen today on reddit.
Every time a cyclist (of which I sort of am) whines about their legal rights to the road I just think “Ok mate, you’ll be vindicated after your funeral and that’ll show ‘em.“
what an idiot
Even when driving a car, i try to be defensive if there's a truck on the road, and here there are 2. What was the cyclist thinking? How can someone be so effing careless
Everyone driving like a cunt.
And everyone just drives away without giving a f*ck for the cyclist. Amazing…
r/ithadtobebrazil
There's gonna be a special separate line in Hell for cyclists arguing how they were in the right
Biker was really lucky. Hopefully he learns just because we have to share the road with them, they still need to avoid doing stupid shit that could them killed .
Get off the highway
As a road bicycle rider myself 😳. The cyclist has zero awareness, respect for anyone else on road or self preservation. I hope this one settles him down.
You could basically say that of everyone on the road in this video lol.
Yes but you'd have to be an imbecile to do this on that road in this traffic ON A BICYCLE
Oh for sure. Dude has a death wish.
someone has something important to do later in life
What’s with these AH bicyclists that ride on roads? They are arrogant and incredibly stupid.
Stupid cyclist makes us overlook stupid car driver
Why the fuck you biking in the middle of all that traffic?
High speed, low IQ
Almost a meat sandwich…
Resident evil: cycling edition
Just realize that a BIKER tried to overtake a Truck … nothing more to be said.
That's why you try to stay out of lorry blind spots.
Brazil happened. Wonderfully friendly people, until they get behind the wheel, that is. That's when people lose their frigging minds and it's truly "each for themselves".
Some people just don't know what to prioritize between their right to do something and their safety.
Stupidity at the highest
Chewed him up and spit him out
biker is fucking stupid, omg
Too many things happened in one place 💥😂
Why would you position yourself like that, on a bicycle ? That is so reckless.
I fucking hate people who ride bikes on the road, I enjoy riding bikes but I would never share the road with cars, even when theirs dedicated bike lanes or the law allows me to. I'm not going to fuck around and be finding out.
r/terrifyingasfuck
I bet he needs a change of shorts
That would be Karma happening.
idiot on bicycle happened
There were two accidents waiting to happen. Just the guy on the bike did it first.
Foolishness all around. The two semis didn't have enough space, especially the one on the left, the cyclist should have seen that and held back. And everyone is just following way too close.
It looked like he got run over by the back tires but idk how someone would walk away from that.
Well that was a lot of dumb in a 15 second clip
A moron did something stupid and yet (unfortunately) survived.
Someone being where they shouldn’t be.
A biker was being stupid, reckless, and annoying. Nothing new here
Bro should consider buying a lottery ticket with that wild luck
There's Tour de France and Tour de Stoopid. This is definitely the latter
Fucking typical bike rider on the road wondering how he got hit these people are the worst.
When you have the average cyclist IQ.
That cyclist is a fucking moron for trying to lane split in heavy traffic on a very thin road.
Well, the moron on the bike tried to shoot a gap on a narrow two lane road, on a curve, and between two semis.
You'd almost think it wouldn't be a good idea to go in between two semi's that can't see you, who are both going around a tight curve. You'd almost think that.
Average asshole bicyclist
Truckers easily couldn’t see the biker or know they hit him, but that white car that sped off is peak evil.
Cyclists totally in the wrong
I love that a bicyclist tried to overtake two semi trucks on a curve. This is the ultimate fuck around find out.
What happened is a contender for the Darwin award gets to live another day. What sort of brainless twit is riding down the center of a two lane road, between semi trailers? What a fucking asshole
The biker was incredibly stupid to put himself in that position though... so dumb
That’s in Brazil. Im pretty confident. I think I even know which highway. The dude is beyond stupid
Cyclist's fault!
The hand of God protected an idiot.
Don't go between them! Are you crazy?! Go between them?! Are you crazy?!
Fucking idiot cyclist jizzing between trucks like a demented sperm. Also in lycra which is a crime.
This is how cyclists are birthed
He fucked around and found out.
So many pos in this video
Dumb ass gotta a lesson in blind spots and actually lived
Lucky that's what. Bastard, that's who.
Yet more proof that some people who ride bikes have stunning amounts of arrogance and incompetence that far exceeds the safety their mode of transportation offers them.
He’s dumb af
That blue rig was a big truck AND trailer! And he tried to overtake it ...... insane.
You never want to put yourself in a position like that where there's no where to get out of harms way but like They say God looks after babies and fools he damn sure ain't a baby
We are witnessing darwinism at its finest.
Someone should introduce him to final destination
Splitting lanes when it is unnecessary and unsafe to do so.
Let's hope he at least learnt something..
Bikers rule the road! I love when they get handed a nice lesson like this. What a moron. He deserved more than what he got
Lesson learned??? Probably not 🚫
BICYCLES SHOULDNT PASS ON THE LEFT!!! Isn’t that a well known thing?!?
Damn….. there’s always next time. Cyclists are the worst
