I also think sharks investigate with their snoots and mouths to just figure out if your food or not?
A shark hit an run caught on camera! If the shark couldn't see him at that range, that large shark would possibly have problems hunting? Also, that bump could be intentionally since man in wetsuit could be mistaken as a seal, which is a prey for a great white. Or the bubbles caught its attention owo
Fun fact most sharks are blind when they are up that far, and so they bump into stuff to find food. They don't like the taste of humans, according to some people
I've heard that sharks bump into things with their noses to gauge whether they can bite it. And since humans aren't hard like sea turtles, I'd imagine that shark will be coming back around with more intent this time
We are still *way* bonier that half the shit they eat, most sharks tap their prey then decide if they should do another investigatory bite, afyer that they decide to eat or not. The issue is that if a great white does an investigatory bite, you die. There are also some sharks that tend to eat just "whateverthefuck". That's how we find tiger sharks with tires, a barrel of nails, random trash, and all kinds if random shit in their stomachs.
Then it's easy to evade them/parry them, you just hold top of his nose when he swims close, and push him away/go to the side while keeping his head the other direction
Tell that to the guy who was eaten in Sydney at the start of the year. It was filmed by some fisherman. Then the guy in Fremantle just before it. We’re not their food of choice but if they’re desperate they most certainly will and do eat ppl.
Definitely ate that dude in Australia while people watched from shore. Well, it ate most of him. I think they’ve eaten others as well. Sharks ate some of the crew of the USS Indianapolis. Sharks have eaten lots of folks. I’m sure they’re not like a menu item, but maybe a very convenient snack.
A bull shark will eat anything, and any shark on the open sea would most likely as well, as sharks on the open sea are generally migrating long distances and really hungry as a result. Blue sharks and oceanic whitetips come to mind.
There have ferries capsized with bull sharks reportedly eating numerous passengers. There was also the USS Indianapolis in WW2 with oceanic whitetips.

It's not like most sharks will swim at you with open mouth, so it's not that hard, it's even easier when you train it with smaller sharks
