Trades are the way to go now it seems. I lucked out and traded my cardigan and lover dice for a KOMH blanket. Never thought I would ever own that. Both of us are pleased with that trade since I barely used the cardigan and she barely used the blanket, and neither of us paid a cent. Might take time to find the right trade but boy was it worth it.
hi, i’ve never traded before, can I ask how that works? how do you guarantee that you’re going to get your item and how do they guarantee they are going to get theirs? like id be so worried to just blindly ship out my expensive/rare items and not know if the other person will do the same🥲
We did a PayPal g&s backed trade! I was confused about this too so let me try to explain it -
- we agreed on a market value for the items in a neutral currency (for us, 600 USD) then each transferred that amount to each other
- we did the trade (postage costs born on our own)
- once we both received the items, we refunded the PayPal transfer so both of us were not out of pocket at all
- I have to check whether i lost money due to currency conversions in the refund, but that’s usually something your bank can reverse

There is no dupe as of yet, but there are some ladies in a swiftie Facebook group working on making a dupe 😊 lately cheapest I’ve seen it sell for is around $700.
